- Russian United Democratic Party Yabloko leader Grigory Yavlinsky says the nuclear threat posed by Russian President Vladimir Putin is “serious”.
It’s been over two years since Russia invaded Ukraine, yet a resolution seems no closer than when it first started.
“It’s not a joke ... it’s a very serious thing,” Mr Yavlinsky told Sky News host Erin Molan.

I have Russian colleagues, some of whom have been home recently.
The ones who live abroad, most of them do not support Putin (and not all of these are running from conscription). The ones that have gone home have said that the sentiment within Russia seems to be completely different, and many still in the country (their friends and family for example) support Putin.
One big reason for this, is that those who left are exposed to much media from different countries, which paint Russia in a much different light than the media that is available and consumed within Russia.
This is a big reason of why Putin is so popular within the country.
