My thesis on this car is mpg challenge. 15-22.5 mpg at the moment. Id try lpg and still modify , strip out bits, use help from fans and pros . But for 3000 grand price tag
Hopefully it’s not the oil cooler leaking. Common problem on this model and it lives in the vee of the engine. Unfortunately the only way to replace it is to remove the cylinder heads

Of all the cars likely to ruin you a V12 merc is the top candidate. My Neighbour had a CL600 of similar vintage of the 5 years he had it, it only spent about 9 months in use. Multiple failures and every part seemed to bespoke to the V12 model, they also seemed to have to come directly from Stuttgart with a cost of £1000 (radiator 1k, alternator water cooled 1k, suspension struts 1k, all failed). The V12 was also mapped to shutdown 6 cyls when cruising to save fuel (a la Northstar V8) and alternate the banks so the engine stayed warm all over, this screwed up and it took months to fix with finally the only solution to map out the functionality, further hammering the terrible fuel economy. At least it should get many views of video of it breaking down though.
pleaseeeeeee edit the audio properly.its sometime so loud and low that i constantly adjust the volume every minute.also i am excited for this car.do daily this to see how fun it is.customize the accesories. body kitetc. engine maintanence.common issue.make it absolute wonderful as it can be

My father in law gave me his (US) 2010 550, I let it sit for 2-3 years after I cracked a rim on it early on in owning it. That was a huge mistake and I found out how much could go wrong when it sat for a while and how expensive it is to fix an s-class. Be warned even the smallest piece of plastic on this car will be outrageous. The rocker panel on mine (6 foot piece of plastic) was cracked and new from Mercedes that was USD1200. Me personally I think you should fix this S600 up they are so nice to drive plus it’s a v12!
Alex... I think it would be cool to put side pipes on your Mercedes... something like Boris the Micra, but on both sides, and they exit at the passengers doors
get a big twin wheel caravan and tow it down a drag strip see the 0-60mph, 0-100mph and 0-175 mph times see which holds up the best ...the caravan or the car. back in the day a lot of the older generation used to buy those and the amg and bumble up the motorway at 56mph towing caravans👌👍.

You've got to make some budget equal lentgh headers for that F1 sound?
Where is Taylor? Its like watching Morcambe without Wise. You guys reviewing or modifying a car together is much more watchable.
Make a track hawk from it. Stiff suspention, sporty drivers seat, crazy exhaust. Fookin beast.
Hi Alex, really like to see you demist the headlights, simples.....
For the top speed run put it up against the FK8 Civic Type R which is meant to do 170. 4 pot vs V12.....
This car will be very interesting! I remember hearing somewhere that the "most expensive Mercedes is a cheap Mercedes". I think a youtuber called 'Number 27' bought the 5L V8 version for 900 quid and when he took it to the main dealer it came to 5 grand odd to fix, which he said was amazing.
The jagg wouldn’t have worked with side pipes but the merc would be sick with them
My thesis on this car is mpg challenge. 15-22.5 mpg at the moment. Id try lpg and still modify , strip out bits, use help from fans and pros . But for 3000 grand price tag
Skiing in La clusaz , good MPG challenge and to test a V12 in the snow! But take Taylor !
Hopefully it’s not the oil cooler leaking. Common problem on this model and it lives in the vee of the engine. Unfortunately the only way to replace it is to remove the cylinder heads
05:37 - ALEX/RORY - IF you change all your indicator bulbs to error free orange LEDs - that Hazard flashing effect GETS EVEN BETTERERERERERER!!! (Instant off/on)👌👍 😎🇬🇧
Could you do finding a cheap vintage car in Ireland maybe? Cause I'm struggling
Man I'm excited for where this channel goes in 2023
I always liked the challenges, so for this video a v12 luxury car for under £5,000 etc and the process of finding one, and then the next video you can do the mgp etc… but with this one, maybe let’s see you chav it up, seeing as not many people would have been able to do so.. exhaust, deck it, BBS’, sub you know the drill
Ive just yesterday saw this car here in Croatia on the way to the south of the country. Nice to see it going strong.
Interior on that car would be so much better then most modern cars, quality leather
And I Love Yours, Taylor’s and Rory’s work Bro, keep up the Great work up and coming for 2023!🙌🏿🙏🏿👏🏿⭐️🌟💫✨❤️
Fix up the oxidised headlights and refinish the monoblocks back to a silver or some equivalent cool AMG wheels!
pleaseeeeeee edit the audio properly.its sometime so loud and low that i constantly adjust the volume every minute.also i am excited for this car.do daily this to see how fun it is.customize the accesories. body kitetc. engine maintanence.common issue.make it absolute wonderful as it can be
Another great crusing car for the money, I'd prefer the Volvo as you sit higher, always preferred sitting to slouching
S
U up for a e46 325i auto sport black all black in and out carbon cube trim . No rust .
I kinda miss my old 2005 S-Class when seeing this, but when he starts listing the usual problems they tend to get later on - I'm glad I sold it at a top 😅
💣💥 Sidepipes!!! 💥💣
But with å valve,so u can use original exhsust when on highway
get a big twin wheel caravan and tow it down a drag strip see the 0-60mph, 0-100mph and 0-175 mph times see which holds up the best ...the caravan or the car. back in the day a lot of the older generation used to buy those and the amg and bumble up the motorway at 56mph towing caravans👌👍.
Happy New Year Alex. Any news on your Jag Project. I am rooting for you to smash DriveTribe
I like to drive my W220 often in the "off-road"/raised position.I like to sit high, and the car kind of feels bigger and more luxurious in that way.
Chrome wrap the hideous wood trim would be a good start.
Hi, do an lpg conversion and make it cheapest running v12 mb
