You might have saw my other video (or not) and you might be thinking why did I upload the same video again? Well I made improvements to the system allowing for better accuracy. This new system uses 1 command block less and does not use @p. Instead it uses @initiator which only works in npcs. This allows to function the command on the excat person. This video only uses command blocks and no packs. If you want the pack that changes the npc ui to look like an actual server ui you must wait for the other video. In my next video I will show how to make clickable items and the npc ui which looks like a server ui. Go to this timestamp for more information 6:28 If you want to create custom items and have the server gui go to this video, its part 2 of this video. Note this video uses addons th-cam.com/video/5MZ5JyzNmNk/w-d-xo.html
For anyone trying this command in 1.20.12 this is what the execute command should be now. A few things changed. :) execute at @e[type=item,name="gui"] run dialogue open @e[type=npc,scores={gui=1}] @p[r=2]

@@b.t.c.bearvr7603 thx I was wondering the same thing. Also now the command blocks on my server which are at the hub can be loaded in so no one has to be at the hub at all times
EVERYONE if you want to fix the command blocks only working in 64, then just turn up your simulated distance to 12 chunks, and it will work within 12 chunks of the npc any farther tho just use a different method this one is the easiest tho
It does, you just need to change 2 things: With the Repeat command block use the input- execute at @e[type=item,name=“whatever the item name is”] run dialogue open @e=npc,scores={gui=1}] @p[r=2] New version of mc uses “execute at” and “run” rather than a blank space/~~~ shown in this vid. Hopefully this somewhat helped 8 months later lol.
I am currently working on something else for cosmic pvp so I decided to put a different map on it for now Note this map was not made by me/ the cosmic network

I ❤ ur video i making my own server :3
It gives an error bc anything not in a players ticking area or in an added ticking area is not registered as an active entity
Is there any way to fix this?

@@notlinnthat's not possible, make one yourself and it won't work
Hii
so is there any way yet to increase the range bro?
In Java use /forceload in Mcpe use /tickingarea
Instead of being 64 blocks away and it won’t work how about u add a ticking area so it will work anywhere
It doesn't work like that for NPCs
Hey I did it I fix mine, do u know how to lock the compass and when new players join they already have the compass.
you can do " /replaceitem entity @a slot.hotbar 8 compass 1 0 " and set it to repeat and always active
so that it always works you must put a tickingarea in the npc
Just add a ticking area around the npcs and the range will be unlimited
Doesnt work like that
@@DizzeryQ could it be done with an infinite distance ??

In my world i need to drop the item to open dialogue
Can it work on 1.19.30??
Yeah, it doesn't work in the newer version. Can you please update it?
It does, you just need to change 2 things:
With the Repeat command block use the input-
execute at @e[type=item,name=“whatever the item name is”] run dialogue open @e=npc,scores={gui=1}] @p[r=2]

How do you add images to the buttons?
You need to make your own resource pack
Pls put more
Does anyone know what the controller in the thumbnail is
can be found in the textures/ui folder I believe you can find it by searching for controller in that folder

You could use tickingarea to make it longer lol

Pls make a Updated version for 1.19.11
I have a texture pack where you can make it look like mineplex/hive. I can show it to you on discord if you would like! :D
