The ODI grips are designed to pop the ends out for handguards. There’s a cap there. For future reference if you ever buy ODI lock on grips all you have to do is cut around the end of the grip and use a big punch to knock the end out. Don’t have to use a saw lol. You can even use your bars to knock the end caps out after you cut in a circle with a razor blade around the end of the grip.
@@ThomperBeThompin you can feel a little crack in the rubber on the end of the grips. Push the razor blade down in that crack pretty firm and cut. Then pop out. Forgot to mention the little crack.
@@ThomperBeThompin what’s weird is the stock grips that come on the KTMs the throttle side won’t pop out like that, but all the ones you buy aftermarket will pop out like that. Both sides. Why I have no idea lol.
Why didn't you go into more detail about the clutch pivot bolt. You grabbed the wrong one initially right? Then you grabbed a different one. I can't tell if I am missing one
It mounts in the taper section not a good design. Look for the CRM version (center reach mount). It extends the clamp further towards the forks in the straight section of bar. These are working fairly good for me. I just swapped out to the CRM version on my son's YZ250FX. We just couldn't keep them straight and they were constantly vibrating loose and loosing hardware on that bike.
@@godfamilybikes1703 Thanks. I just returned the CRM version by cycra. They didn't allow for fork adjustments. I have ordered the same set up as you. Try to grind a bevel on the clamping surface for a better fit. (Dremel or die grinder)

Right on, thanks for the tip!

Nice video.
Like that you showed the episode where the throttle end adapter plug thing pulled out and you had undo it some and then proceed again.
Great video!

What size are the clamps ? I have a 2021 300xc w . The bars taper. It looks like you are mounting in the 1 inch diameter section of the bar.
