Good review! I just installed the Acerbis light on my ‘21 300 XC TPI. Love it. Very bright. Great quality. Shipping was free at Rock Mountain ATV/MC. Plus I had $15 off in rewards that I had built up. You can’t go wrong with Acerbis brand. It’s all superb stuff.

Unfortunately I taped it up really good with electrical tape. I do recall it being extremely simple though. The Amazon page for the light has a simple diagram showing high beam and ground. If you Google that and the wiring for the attribute light it should get you there no problem

Shoot, good question and I honestly don't know. I would think if you maintain the air filter frequently and change the trans oil regularly, you could probably go 50+ hrs no problem. Maybe triple that if you change up sprockets to lower your rpm at higher speeds.

Do you really believe this light puts out 4320Lm? Doubtful the light comes close to half that, Baja Designs which is one of the leaders in LED lighting sells a 4K Lm headlight, when you see one operating it's blinding, that Chinese light doesn't come anywhere close. You really should take the time to learn a bit about LEDs and what it takes to achieve a simple 1000Lm and the cooling required to get to that point. You haven't provided any indication of the lights performance like some video of a night ride or the watt draw of this light. Without knowing what the power is that the light uses and what LEDs are used any brightness estimates are someone's guess. I'd be wary of repeating any LED specs listed on any LED on Amazon, most are grossly exaggerated and it's not helping the credibility of your channel, again a bit of research into LEDs and you would know that. Next time show us some video of the light operating in the darkness, squirt a water hose at it. None of this was filmed at night, it's a review of a headlight, what's wrong with that picture? That type of testing would be useful to a rider looking for a better light. Not trying to slam you but you want riders to watch your vids and respect your opinions, do the leg work to give your reviews some meaningful information.

Chill my guy, it's just a youtube video! I smashed the Acerbis and the stock headlight on trees, so they weren't working (thus hard to film their light output). Also, have you actually measured the lumens output of the Acerbis on your own? I haven't as I don't have a lumen meter, so I quoted Acerbis' claim. I doubt most manufacturer's lumen claims, baja designs included, but you have to admit, the Acerbis light is a steal @ $113. Does Baja Designs make a superior product? Almost certainly, and at a much higher cost, but I don't own one, which is why I did not mention those. I'm not trying to start a comments war, just pointing out that I happened to go through a few different lights because of some unfortunate wrecks, so I made a quick and dirty video about them so people could be aware they exist and could explore them more on their own. One of these lights is far superior to the others, and they're all relatively cheap. I changed the title so people's expectations won't be subverted. I'm not making these vids for the respect of other riders, it's just for fun.

@@ThomperBeThompin Sorry, you did preface it by placing garbage review by a doofus in the title. You've seen the light, do you think it's more robust then the acerbis, it's not and it'll get damaged just as easily. You've got an audience here on YT, with a little work you can give some meaningful insight on the products you install since you're willing to do reviews of them. Just a suggestion, don't repeat the seller's BS when it's obviously very exaggerated and not accurate, it's not a help to the guys considering buying one.
I agree with you, the acerbis is a great deal, I wasn't to impressed with it's throw but it's got decent dispersion which is good for the trails, it's not a great light if you're at speed on a dark road but few would use it like that, the price is right. I bought one of these chinees lights off amazon and the thing wasn't close to having an ip67 rating, it's watt usage was 45% of what the seller claimed which put it below 1000lm best case, a $30 LED flashlight would do better.
You'll find out most of these cheap Chinese lights are junk but there's a few good inexpensive lights, if you want to do a little work to make them work these are real LEDs with Cree XML-2 LEDs rated at 1000 LM @ 10W each LED and the BD lenses fit them. The manufacturer unly pushes them @ 8W each LED so the output is somewhere below 1000Lm/LED, likely based on the reflector and the LEDs used 2 lights together put out about 3K lm.
      www.amazon.com/dp/B0921RFMWW?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details.
Here's a review of them with no output claims, just some video showing how they operate and the beam patterns. After posting this video they immediately sold out of 30 pairs of these lights.
      th-cam.com/video/UzBoNwqml1s/w-d-xo.html
I also did a number plate version for the TPI thats far stronger then the headlight shroud version, the output video sucks though, it's the same lights as the exc light and is just as bright. Each setup cost around $50 to make.
Feel free to mute this post, I'm only trying to give you a few helpfull hints and the rest don't need to see it.

@@RidefreakTV I'm okay with people seeing it - like I said, this channel is just for fun, but I try not to spew garbage when I can avoid it. Some videos are planned out from the beginning, some are more opportunistic like this one taking advantage of my limited experience with three different lights as a result of tree's trying to break them all. You make some great points in this comment and they are something I think most consumers understand (potentially bogus claims from manufacturers for the sake of marketing).
In my opinion, of the lights I reviewed, the acerbis is the most robust, but the (I'm assuming) cast aluminum housing and cooling fins cracked all the way through. That said, this was the same hit that dented my steering stem, so it was pretty high impact. The Koobee light is about what you pay for - does the job, meaning it throws enough light to "get back to the truck" and will probably last a year or two. Almost certainly won't last long under harsh conditions. Arguably, the Acerbis has two things going for it: outstanding price for decent light, and plug and play functionality. I've had cheap chinese lights last a really long time on my truck, fully exposed at all times - just playing devil's advocate. I really like the lights you linked. Perhaps when (inevitably) this cheap Koobee light stops working, I'll try those, but I honestly don't like messing with splicing - not something I'm great at. If I had $400 burning a hole in my pocket, then I'd just pull the trigger on the Baja Designs. Well made, great reputation, good warranty, but really expensive.
But again - this was a review of some cheapo lights (some already broken) that I unfortunately had to keep buying - not a dedicated, pre-determined review. I appreciate the hints and will definitely try to think of those things in the future - cheers.
