Cool thing about this upgrade is it will probably get better gas mileage for sure won’t change. Those in line 6s are cool engines, my 91 YJ max torque and hp was around 2k rpm. Like a gas powered diesel. Had a mind splitting 120 hp and torque. Not much worse than a 85 Chevy 305 truck engine 😀

@@jimmyburks7030 That's useful information.... Dude will definitely need to do some work on the frame or lack thereof, otherwise he will twist it up like a pretzel. We did an LS Cherokee a few years ago and learned the hard way. With the stock open diff is wasn't an issue other than the peg leg burnout clean through second gear. With new axels spinning 5:13's all locked up it was a body twister under hard acceleration. After a hard second gear shift, solid hook up and the windshield blowing out, we kinda' knew we needed to do some frame mods to handle the torque. We tried the BS frame connectors and found out those are a joke and ended up with a full cage, a ton of 1/4" plate added to the entire frame and problem solved. We are running a Whipplecharged LS-3 , NV4500 trans, Atlas 2 TC , Currie 44 with Detroit trutrak front, Currie 9" with a Detroit locker rear.

Hi LT, I know there are so many variables, but what was roughly your (labor only) charged for this complete project?
I think dude will need to upgrade the axels and add a full cage and sub frame. I’ve seen plenty of cracked windshields from hard wheeling these things in stock from. Plug in 2x the hp and a little bit of traction and the windshield will shoot out of the hole. Don’t ask me how I know this....Looks like a fun build that will keep taking money from this cats wallet for a long time to come.
It's got plenty of axles, Dynatrac Pro Rock 60s built for this engine combination!
That engine is going to fit in that engine bay like Isotoners on O.J.😂
It urks me seeing non mopar engines in mopar shells but its done by you so its acceptable. a 5.9 magnum can make decent power for reasonably cheap and should bolt in with factory V8 xj mounts
nothing wrong with brand loyalty, a 360 would've be a cool swap as well...
Great video , Like always !
some Carven exhaust would be nice on that thing
I want to do this so bad to mine, same color and everything.
Add 20 years onto that inline 6 at 190hp it’s probably making 130 max
This is going to be awesome!!
Can’t wait to see it.
Do they make a adaptor to the Aw-4 or Ax-15? I've been pondering this swap for a while. I cant put a Chevy unit in my Jeep....gotta keep the bullet proof 4.0. But if I do swap a v8 its gonna be Mopar.
I'm not very familiar with all the Jeep conversion stuff to be honest
Finally!! Great video. Pumped....
thanks!
I’m late to the show but am wondering if this conversion is 50 state emissions compliant?
Looking forward to this
I wheeled with that owner of that Jeep at Palo Duró Canyon
Notice the orange stripe you still in Tennessee? Just wondering. Should hook up with Ian Johnson, and Stacey Davis do a former power nation chill and build...
I'm not actually, I now live in Utah
Well I can always go for a ls swap video 😂
