😂😂😂😂💯 that's how I got my 5.3 engine 🤙🤙🤙🤙 my uncle 07 Tahoe got repoed. Towed truck driver asked my uncle if was keeping the engine since it was out of the truck already. Tow guy said it didn't matter if he took it or not

Man I grew up in RC. Graduated from BHS in 80. I'm back in town all the time. I frequently camp out on brown road just past 395 on the right where that little mound is. Riding in every direction from there! If you ever see a white toter and trailer out there stop in. I'd like to connect and go out and do some wheelin next time I'm in town Darren.

I remember seeing Darren post on Dezert Rangers like a decade ago with his first build on the ol' ranger. Didn't think his life would come to this, but he has certainly earned his way.

That LS is so much better than the 4.0 it's not even comparable. the 4.0 is useless if you want to make power.
@@famousmidnight Very untrue. 4L & 5.3 torque curves are pretty similar under 3k rpm. Actually a stroked 4L produces more low end torque than a 5.3. That's why you see hundreds of 4Ls at the Hammers every year. It makes quick work of the back door.
15:37 The subframe channels along the underside are actually made from high tinsel strength steel-- as are most all unibodies. If welding was difficult, it was most likely because the steel was contaminated, which is common since the bottom of these have an oil based rubberized coat from the factory, and it's difficult to remove completely, even if it looks clean. Not because the metal isn't good quality. It rusts just like any other type of steel. I'm an I-Car frame technician, so curious what shop told him this nonsense.

You should look at the 5.0 stroker you can build using a 4.0 block
My 2004 WJ has a 4.0L pushing 250k and it still runs

What was the hight on the lift? Definitely inspirational! It was a 9"rear but I didn't catch the front end size?

The metal is galvanized, if you grind on it you’ll go through a layer of paint then into a shine yer layer that looks like the sheet metal but then you go through that layer and actually get to the steel... after too many years of welding on these shit boxes i finally found the way to get clean welds on them

It looks like the rear end is stretched and you have the fuel cell below. Does the Jeepspeed fuel cell work with a stretch?

Sooooo, take a unibody and weld up a hybrid cage with a full chassis weld up plating... Why not just a body on frame platform?

I agree, plating those XJ rails is the worst damn project ever and I too will never do it again. If I was to do another, I'd cut the rails out altogether and put in 2x4 steel.

Its probably not 400HP. Its probably more like 330.
Anyway... the unibody is coated in a rust resistant coating similar to "alumumized". Its not poor quality lmao. The alumumized coating must be buffed off with a flap disc to allow for proper welding.

perfect build. but a no for front wide body, i like how jeep look, use flat fender give more aggresive looking. but this is your car, so do what ever you like to your car, and one more this build is sick, litelary Beauty and The Beast!, peace and mud for everyone.

jeep is bad but you should've worked on the cast iron i6 it would've been nice to see og engine, my xj is boosted with a gt35r turbo but is light and oem parts don't break.
How come you have a 9 inch in the back and a 60 up front which has a 9.75 ring gear, wouldn’t a 44 be enough
