Kyary has the same producer as PERFUME. Yasutaka Nakata is very possessive of his music in that he'll produce, compose songs and do everything in between too. Rarely does he collaborate with other artists when making music for PERFUME and kyary, though there was this scandal with the lyrics in imitation world. Regardless, the man outputs songs in a matter of minutes and plays around with genres when he feels up to it: Edge is very similar to some of his CAPSULE tracks. The girls are usually auto-tuned but sometimes have their voices processed live. One of the most overlooked parts of the performances are that they're doing everything in high heels.
It is so hard to recommend songs from Perfume cause they are all soooo good! "Story" and "Fake It" live are fun. Personally I love "My Color" live. They get the whole crowd involved, it's a beautiful sight.
This is the ⊿ mix of 'Edge', which is a little longer than even the extended version of the original 'love the world' b-side. I'm much more of a Rock 'n' Roll fan than I am of electro dance pop, but I have a couple of Perfume albums. : ) They're just too good to ignore.
This is the kind of 'heavier' stuff what I like from Perfume more than their more pop stuff. RIP Keith. They have some more songs like this. I don't know all their songs, but their are at least some more like this. "Enter The Sphere" has some of that too. No idea if they are live with the vocals, but at some point it was enough robotic it tingled my Kraftwerk sensor. :-)
@@GoldFishBoy1337 Something I was wondering, in Japan they do a lot of "MC" (talking on the microphone between songs). How about in English speaking countries ?
@@GoldFishBoy1337 Yeah, I heard that. I meant with Babymetal it's all songs, no MC at all, maybe a word or 2 at the end. I really like it that way, so I suspect I would like a Perfume show because of it.
From what I've read, this style is closer to their producer's band Capsule. Speaking of Prodigy, RIP Keith Flint who passed away in March. For the next Perfume song I'd recommend either Polyrhythm or Spending All My Time.
Lasery... Strange video for a live concert, just a static shot, no other camera angles, no camera motion, not even a zoom, robotic choreography and cool interplay between the ladies and the big screens. So Perfume and KPP share same producer who writes / makes the music. Perfume and BabyMetal share same choreographer. What a small world. Oh yes, and of course, the triangles, always the triangles, they are everywhere, even in Karen Girl's. Pyramids.
Well I mean, triangles was famous back then in technology stuff. I don't see any problems with it. Since geometric shapes are popular in art or decorative projection anyway. Edge has a another video with different angles, this guy reacted to the one with a middle angle only. There's also various performances of Edge, but well rarely performed with moving rectangular boxes. Their style is Technopop, well completely understandable since their producer (Yasutaka Nakata) completely gave Perfume a completely new world, yes their career. I've never seen anyone dance to Techno before, so these girls gave Edge a memorable performance. Lasers are very epileptic and well.. Interesting but blinding. Can't believe they worked for nearly 20 Years.
It's so cool having someone so Perfume reactions!! I don't see many people doing it~ 👍👍👍 I have a recommendation!! th-cam.com/video/aOdwQt4iNGY/w-d-xo.html I don't know if your looking to do more or not but that's one of their best(well, one of my fav) live performances they've done! And English subtitles lol
Baka, do you know if producer of KPP and Perfume draws inspiration from YMO? There is a channel with a bunch of mash up videos of YMO music with Perfume dance. th-cam.com/video/H2HCxOBpx-I/w-d-xo.html
One of my all-time favorites from them. My band even did a cover.
I really love that. Edge triangle mix is my fav ever. And i cried while watching your video 😂

Their live shows are usually pre-recorded vocals, but I went to their Chicago show in April and it was absolutely NUTS.

@@autohmae They pick someone from the audience to interpret for them which would be AMAZING to do.

There's another video of the same performance that does have different camera angles.
Perfume dvds come with different angles, each member's angle and a fixed angle.
+Perfume were the linking bridge between YSTK & Kpp, they're bffs!
