  • A fun way to start off 16 hours of train loading.
    Also, I'm no professional, so this is more than likely the wrong way to do it.

    LOL nice rental! You didn't miss much. Just some pre-flight stuff i'd have done like check the crank case oil, etc. But I like the mod of welding the rebar on the compression relief valves, lol. Later units had handles built right on but earlier ones required a little wrench to operate, which was, from what i've heard, a real pain in the ass especially if that wrench went missing. In any case I really enjoyed the video! Thanks for bringing us along!

    That loco looks like it had a hard life. lol but enough work on it to keep it alive and working.

    Just a thought....try moving the camera slower because the video is extremely jerky
