Having the forks tilted slightly down and lowering the loader to the ground seems to be the best way to get under the bales, although I spent about as much time trying to get under the bales as I did loading them. Practice will make perfect. The ba...

    LOL nice rental! You didn't miss much. Just some pre-flight stuff i'd have done like check the crank case oil, etc. But I like the mod of welding the rebar on the compression relief valves, lol. Later units had handles built right on but earlier ones required a little wrench to operate, which was, from what i've heard, a real pain in the ass especially if that wrench went missing. In any case I really enjoyed the video! Thanks for bringing us along!

    • @johnnywad9188
      @johnnywad9188 ปีที่แล้ว

      It sets the truck brakes. So the yellow knob supplies air to the blue and red knob, and pulling the yellow knob would park both the truck and the trailer. Pulling the blue and red knob separately would park the tractor and the trailer separately.

    I am delivering a sermon to you 🙏😊 please read Consistently Pray for forgiveness, guidance in a good (positive) direction, and for help against evil. Pray to be saved from hell (whatever that may be). Pray for your friends and your family too, it only takes a minute or so/less at a time to pray. Do it and your life will slowly get better, or maybe quickly. It probably just depends on you and the kind of person you are/have been. Don't wait until its too late and you have to suffer the consequences of built up bad karma from immoral acts/unrepented sins. Maybe together we can help make the world a better place by changing ourselves for the better, and changing things around us for the better. And addressing/thanking the CREATOR, LORD GOD at the beginning and end of your prayers would be a good idea 😊 Or just be my friend if you don't want to say the prayer 😄 I'm trying to help you get right with the LORD 🙏 Amen. I have worded a short prayer for you to say if you are not sure what words to use, it may not be the best but here it is 😊 '' CREATOR, LORD GOD, Please forgive me and my friends and my family for our immoral acts, please help guide us in a positive direction and please help us against evil. Please save us from Hell and have mercy on our souls. Thank you CREATOR, LORD GOD. Amen. '' Please say this at least once a day for at least a month, do it longer if you want to and can 🙏 You should prostrate yourself if you don't want to do spoken prayer, or do both 🙏😊 Please worship the LORD GOD and not any idol. Please put your hands together 🙏 bow your head and say this prayer: "CREATOR, LORD GOD, please know that I worship you and not any idols. Thank you for everything CREATOR, LORD GOD. Amen" Say ' Om Namah Shivaya ' out loud or in your head 108 times, or try to do it 1008 times 😊 try to do it everyday if you want repeat this aloud for as long as you want to, try to do it for like an hour a day or say it in a prayer "Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner" You can also say this prayer once a day or repeat it aloud as many times as you would like to: "Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death, Amen." Thessalonians 5:16-18 "Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." 🙏🙏🙏🙏 Philippians 4:6-7 "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." "O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fount of mercy for us, I trust in You!" Repeat this aloud at least 3 times or as many as you want, do it everyday if you can I apologize for all the words 😊 I know how it may look

    Pre-selecting the splitter, as you're doing in this video, is a sure way to a "back-half" rebuild on that 10 speed.... especially if that's the way you drive it, when loaded... not to mention your usage of the throttle.

    • @johnnywad9188
      @johnnywad9188 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've since learned how to use the splitter. And no, I don't drive like this all the time. I was just having fun.

    • @Skipperj
      @Skipperj ปีที่แล้ว

      Pre-selecting the range splitter won't hurt it, but pre select the splitter, and you will eventually wear the fork and sliding clutch in "the back half of a Road ranger.

      I drove a 1974 Titan with the 8V-71T (350hp). I loved it for running produce back and forth from NY to Montreal.

    • @Romans--bo7br
      @Romans--bo7br ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Skipperj... Hello, Clifton... thanks for your reply. Yes, you're absolutely correct in regards to the splitter. It's been "a while" since I've retired... and I had "2nd thoughts" after I wrote in my comment to you... and sincerely meant to go back and correct what I wrote with regards to "pre-selecting". Myself, in my 52+ years of OTR trucking... the vast majority of those years was as an independent O/O, and I ordered each truck that I owned with "sticks" - dbl O, 6x4's for the heavy haul that I was doing. Prior to going on my own, all the rigs that I drove for others, all had various types of "sticks". I have tried sgl sticks, from time to time... just never liked them, and I could out-pull just about every other heavy hauler in steep gradients - versus their single stick set-ups.... but, to be honest.. my nearly 800hp under the hood (800+ in my last KW [1981, ext'd hood W923]) probably "helped" a bit as well. I loved my V12 Detroits... great memories, and they Never let me down, Ever! I had a 6-110T that I was going to "build" and install in another ext'd hood KW, but fuel prices were climbing and rates at the time were stagnant & down... so I sold the engine, and been regretting it ever since. One of the few sgl sticks I ever drove, was for a friend of mine.. for two weeks, while he had to be "off" of his feet. It was a nearly new Astro (1975) with a NA V12 and a dbl over 12513 box.... he had it set up, after he took delivery of it.. with Green tag N90 injectors, 2 degrees adv. and opened to 2,350 loaded rpms.... not sure of the rears, but with 24.5 rubber, in 2nd over... it would bury the speedometer at about 1,875 on the tach. I liked the "wraparound" dash, but definitely Not all that windshield glass.. went too low for my liking, and too much sunlight/heat in the summer. One thing I've Never liked about GM's class 8 trucks... was their incessant use of "pickup truck" sized steering wheels, in terms of wheel "thickness"... wayyy too "thin" and fingers would cramp if you had Large hands... Ridiculous!!... that, and their lack of desire to make available any wheelbase options past about 220". How long have you had yours? What are your long term plans for it... if any?

    My first truck driving job I drove a 1978 Jimmy , 318 with a 10speed. No a/c , no radio, no power steering, spring ride. Drive it like you're mad at it, that's the secret to driving the 8v71 or you could just slam the door shut on your hand; that works too. I'm still driving truck after all these years, I'm 61 y.o. not in the best of health but I'm planning on driving another 4-5 years.

    Is there a better looking cabovers than the Titan or the Astro?I think not, the small grills are sharp along with the coach mirrors,great looking front bumpers,nice dash with the cutout for the curb mirror.Great layout it a style that still looks contemporary.Kudos to the people who keeps these wonderful tractors on the road.The nice part is whether it's a day cab,sleeper plain or loaded it a sharp looking proud truck.
