I have been waiting for an honest review on the Jackery. It seems everyone is trying to sell you on them on youtube. But.... sponsored videos can take the honesty out of it. So glad I heard it from Luke. When you are on the fence about something, Luke is the tipper that can push you, and you can trust.

@Jean-Louis Bourgeois That someone would be paying either $13,00.00 or $16,00.00 for the entire package, but if you got plenty of green, well then, I guess it doesn't matter to you.

I bought a 240 from Jackery. Months later they held a promotion where they were giving away a small power bank for the purchase of the 240. I emailed them, told them I bought mine months earlier and can I have one please. 2 weeks later, I got my power bank. Not only were they quick to respond, you have to respect that level of customer service and support

Just purchased the 1000 today w/ two solar panels $1400. I live in the hurricane zone south Mississippi. I have a 20kw Generac that runs on natural gas, but I’ve always feared a disruption in my gas service following a disaster, so this package is a solid plan B.

I needed a unit th-cam.com/users/postUgkxOTeIs0vv4_9B5hsmnLsk9r930uDQLu_Y that I could store in my home when I wasn't running, so it being light and running on propane were key requirements. I can store the propane tank/bottle outside yet store the generator in my home when it's not in use as I will never put any gas in the engine. It is so light, and on echo mode, which I expect is how it will be used most of the time, it is pretty darned quiet (certainly compared to all the generators I hear in my neighborhood after each power outage). Many of the previous reviews had me concerned that it would be difficult to start on propane, but I have to say, I had absolutely no problem at all. I primed it first using the choke...3 pulls, heard the engine want to start, flipped it to propane, and one more pull and she started. I ran it for 2 hours the first time and plugged it in my fridge. And when I was done, I put the propane tank away and carried the generator to my basement for next time.I could not be happier.

My family and I live in a apartment. With the economy being unstable and the government being as nuts as it has been, my husband and I figured we better get serious about planning for emergencies in case the power goes out. I saw the Jackery 1000 on Amazon and saw that 90% gave it five stars. I decided to look on TH-cam for reviews and your video was the first one I found. After hearing what you had to say, I think it will be a wise purchase. I love how portable it is and quiet. If I get a infrared heater for the winter, and the power goes out, it will be perfect to keep our appliances going and our place warm!

Ordered mine today, but without solar panels, got even a $150 coupon through Amazon! I came here to see what charging cables/options come in the box, glad everything is inclusive, for this price I expected it. My SUV camping is going to be so much more easy with this power station, even without solar panels, I don't stay away from home for weeks, so charging of the Jackery can be done in the car while driving. Now I can use my Mini-Bullet, I can't function without a fruit smoothie in the morning, lol. And since I don't have a garage, no mile long extension cables needed anymore for the power tools during the process of converting my Nissan X-Trail into a mini-camper. Wonderful review!

I purchased a Jackery 1000 AFTER I purchased a Jupiter 1500 watt inverter. When I saw all the wiring needed for the inverter, I changed my mind and got the Jack 1000. My thought was you’re still running off your truck battery. No worries now with the 1000.
I went camping and it was cold at night, I had brought an electric blanket and used it 3 nights on 4 setting! The next mornings I plugged in my 6 cup coffee maker no problem. Numerous charges on iPhones & iPad. Over the 3 days I never got below 50% power
So now that I’ve watched your video..... I’m gonna purchase a 12v fridge .... this is all your fault LoL
You’re right about this Jack 1000 best purchase I’ve made! This makes short camping trips VERY comfortable and you confirmed long overland trips as well.

I love that it is controlled by me instead of a phone application. I like the ruggedness of it. And the sturdy handle for lugging it. All in all it simply and functionally meets my needs ♥. I'm mainly thinking about the Jackery for the Van... for Rain Days when the weekend weather doesn't cooperate for fishing. I know, I should move forward and be done thinking about it 😆. So this open and honest review, led me to purchase the Jackery 1000, yes there were cheaper, but i want reliability ( isnt that why we buy these in the first - to give you power when we have no other options). I did not purchase the solar panels from Jackery, as i found a better WATERPROOF version from Rockpals, for 2 x 100 panels (their new version) with kick-stands, so they can be angled towards the sun, for around $340 for 2 panels - they have an offer as of now ($40 off) through Amazon - i simply ordered 1 panel twice - so in effect got $80 off the 2 panels. This is an incredible saving over the Jackery Panels and they are waterproof too ! Thanks Luke.

Researched portable power stations. Jackery by far is proven the best. Your review was extremely helpful and professionally presented. I will be purchasing the 1000w this year. Jackery does need to improve the solar panel to withstand moisture and rain to provide a perfect survival kit. Until such improvements are conducted, I will not purchase the panels. Thank you for the honest opinion of the Jackary 1000 solar generator. I have been researching it for a year and have seen 100's of positive write-ups on it with a few negatives which you will find with anything you purchase. So, I went and bought the Jackary 1000 package ( including 100 w panels) today from Amazon, after viewing your very informative video on it. I think today (Oct 20) was the last day for their sale on it, a reduction of about $300.00 in the full package.. I live in an apartment and during storms and bad weather, I have lost power for about 2 days. So, the main reason for my purchase is for emergency power use. My apartment faces the southwest, therefore I will have no problems setting the panels inside and right in front if my sliding glass doors in my living room.

I've been happy with my Explorer 500; only regret is not going ahead with the 1000. I've made great use of it while camping and also at home. I have family members who require the occasional use of powered medical equipment and the 500 was extremely useful during a power outage. Plus it provides peace of mind. Its not a replacement for a home generator but the portability and ability to charge from solar are huge benefits even in the at-home role.

I'm not sure I chose "perfectly" since in 2024 there are some new options, and I find the fixed plastic handle a bothersome element in my already-crowded rear compartment, but I got a huge deal on both the battery and the solar panel. It really is as "plug and play" as you describe, so I was able to put it into my rig immediately. If it were a perfect rectangle with a foldable handle I'd have a bit less regret, but the idiot-proof power for days is simply astonishing
Can't wait to make some outdoor off-grid solar-powered synth videos :)

Your reviews are one of the two that I trust. My question is whether I need one of these, especially at the going price. I go to the SoCal mountains or desert to ride my mountain bike. My usual outing is just overnight with an occasional 2 night trip. Once I arrive, I’m mostly on my bike. I return to the car for dinner and to sleep. My lights are powered by internal batteries. My smart phone and GoPro batteries are charged on the car’s DC, though I do have small power-banks for that I carry while riding. My DVD player has its own battery. I have a cooler, but no refrigeration. I’m really taken with the Jackery and your review, but wonder if it is worth the money for me. I will give whatever you say serious consideration because you are one of the two that I trust.

They sure have come a long way in the last ten years. That looks awesome. Hopefully they become more popular and drop in price in the years to come. To pricey for me still in Canadian beaver peso's. I bought a lil Jackery battery pack a few years ago. Only 6000 mah but it is still going strong and took a major beating. They seem like a alright company.

I just purchased my Jackery 1000 last month. I live near the Gulf of Mexico and that translates to Hurricane alley. It is on the pricey side and I wish the solar panels were waterproof(for the price they should be). I needed something to run a Dometic CFX3-45, charge batteries/devices while camping and have some redundancy for charging devices incase of a hurricane power outage. I am not sure if they sent me an older model solar panel, but my charging cable is located in the zipped up pouch. Thank you for the review.

When Jackery starting marketing I bought a bought 12000 ma rechargeable battery it will charge every portable that I have phone, iPad,etc... Jackery is rock solid for me I don't have the use for a 1000 watt power station if I did this would be the brand that I would buy. Okay $1.00 per watt if it never fails as spoken by the host I don't see the problem. Reliability means a lot to me. Thank you for sharing your video with us.

Hey man! This was the first film of yours that I have seen (so still more to see), but I just wanted to give you some gratitude here in the comments:
As someone with ESP and a decade worth of consulting experience, I can tell you’re a great and honest person. After dozens of other review videos, this was the most clear+honest+understandable. Just.. thank you, thank you, thank you.
Ordered mine last week and got here last night, setting her up today! Recently was forced to move into my 07 Highlander, and although it is a dream of mine to overland/SUV-Life it up.. and Blog/Broadcast/Film/Photo the experience (Website+Channel hopefully coming soon) also a little scary when you’re relying on a loan (coming-off of disability) to get up and running (and survive). So honest reviews like this- legitimately life saving. Excited to learn more, and hope we can chat/meet at some point (good dudes united 😅).
Hope you have a healthy day (or evening) ahead- filled with great spirits and lots of cheer,

I have both the Jackery 1000 and 500, plus a solar panel, all purchased in the past few months. I really love them because they are so well built and perform perfectly. Jackery has refined all their products to near perfection. I also really like my 2 huge Ego 30 Ah 2000w rigs but they are very bulky and limited to just 120VAC and USB-A outlets and can’t be charged with solar so I use them for larger AC items after major outages. I use the Jackerys for trips and as DC backup for my 12v fridge, etc. They are stored in a metal can faraday cage when not in use. For a SHTF situations, I also have homebuilt solar controllers, industrial panels and sine wave inverters and both propane and gas run generators, half stored in faraday cages for SHTF.

Montek 1000 input capability charge all together: solar, dc, ac together and fulfill power in 2 hours with no problems and battery replacement !!! You can hook up more solar panels too !!! Suitcase water proof configuration, great percentage meter viewing usage and charge times together simultaneously, best integrated inverter circuitry protection at half the price as the Jackery !!! Quite noise level at 49db during charge or usage time!!! Drop proof and submerge water proof. Hmmm, light weight too.
