It looks like I have solved my technical issues with encoding/rendering video in 4K. This one will take several more hours to process the 4K option on youtube. If you're an early bird, I'm sure you'll enjoy it regardless. Hope everyone enjoyed their long weekend.
Very much enjoyed your video, since I almost hiked up there today. Great conditions report, probably go back up there in 1 or 2 weeks and will keep an eye out for your red microspike.
Yes I would say I'm surprised at how many people were there, but I'm really not. I made sure the dashcam was rolling for it and knew it had to go into the video. 😁 I remember coming here for the first time around 1990 and there was 1 other car in the parking area. How times have changed man.
Great Job Mike! Beautiful snow capped peaks. I love it. One of my favourite things is to be on top of a mountain with Nobody in site. Just a Spectacular view.
That's great man. I'm looking forward to doing the same very quick here. I think my overlanding stuff should be installed on Wednesday. This extended wait is killing me. 😥
This was a fantastic trail, got to the summit 2 weeks ago but unfortunately it was a cloudy day and the summit was completely covered in the cloud with a good amount of snow. Still had a good time with the nice trail however. Went back and did Goat ridge this past weekend in the sun but it ended up being much less enjoyable.
Hey again! Great video and nice hike. I've never even heard of this place but damn it looks good.. You should add tags to your video so it gets more recognition! I think adding canada or B.C to the title may be good too because usually only locals would know this area! Either way those drone shots are to die for!
Yeah, I've used the location tag in the past, I don't even think it helps much. I could be very wrong though....? I think when it comes to being discovered on youtube it has a lot to do with impressing the right person, or becoming favourable on their algorithm. Also getting the spotlight of "Creator on the Rise" is what does it for most people who are trying to make it. Another thing I've noticed is being a Canadian is rougher off the start. We don't have the population numbers here to "get the views" meaning you are most certainly forced to get attention from the American market. There's a lot of things that play a role in what you're talking about. There's also people who may watch my videos and dislike them for one reason or another and never come back🤷♂️. Thanks for watching and stay safe on the trails. 🙏😊
We were there last July 6, 2021. My fiance and I didn't reached the peak, with 1.7 KM left I got SCARED and got PANICKED and convinced my fiance to turn back. SCARED for almost everything, the height (when we were on the ridge), getting lost, wild life, being "alone". How do you manage going on hikes by yourself? Did you have fear then? What's your advice?
Another amazing video my man, thank you for sharing! A question if you don't mind answering, any scramble or sketchy parts on this hike(other than the slippery steep snow section)? I don't mind some scrambling but don't really want to do anything sketchy alone myself.
No just a regular hike with deep spring snow. I would recommend spikes of some kind. Like I mentioned in the video, your main dangers are post-holing and sliding. Enjoy 🙏
@@mountain_man_mike Thank you very much for the reply and your awesome videos my good man!! Really appreciate all that you do and your fantastic videos!! Stay safe and keep on hiking, maybe i will run into you one of these days!

Your Efforts And Achievements are inspirable. Fabulous!
Thank you so much 😀
My favourite climb in the valley! Nice video Mike!
It's a good one eh!
Amazing views Mike, great footage! Shame about the spikes, but the "price of doing business" i guess 🤷♂️
Amazing video, great info!
Thanks Jimmy 😊
I liked this video even before i watched it. 👍🏿
Oh wow, talk about loyalty and good taste. LOL. Thank you. 🙏

Thanks Karl, much appreciated. 🙏
Great video really enjoyed it, thanks for all the hard work. Nice to see you get the new gear dialled in.
Oh man look at that line up of parked cars, that’s Lindeman lake for sure. Great video again.

Nice drone shot Mike. What kind of drone do you use?
Main one is now a DJI Air2s. Mavic pro platinum is a backup.

Same as any other fear in life. Maybe one day you will feel more comfortable and overcome it. 🙏💪

What kind of camera do you use?
I have many cameras. Generally for this stuff it will be my GoPro hero 8, dji air2s, nikon d5600 dslr with one of many lenses.
