HEY MAN, THE RETURN OF THE KING! TODAY WAS A PLEASANT SURPRISE :D Please continue to cover subjects from all across history as you've done before, they are all insanely interesting.
What you described in this video is mostly Metapolitics - strategies of Cultural Hegemony, that would be properly formulated some time later by Antonio Gramsci (Italian communist). His tactics can be applied to any ideology, even completely separate from communism
On my second watch. You are very good at making these. It's difficult to grasp how politics actually happens, its content. You make it very approachable and understanding l.
Absolutely incredible video, we're really happy you're back! Any thoughts on making a study on mao's revolution? While I understand you might not want to make too many videos about far-left movements, I feel like the Chinese revolution is much less discussed in how it seized power and established the path the world's 2nd strongest country would be shaped, and I would love to see your analysis and telling of it!
@@StrategyStuffon’t forget to add info about him being an MI5 asset, Ratschild East India Co funding, and his top general and the latter’s army being Jewish and Mao giving them Shanghai, which still has the largest diaspora inside China.
@@StalinLovsMsmZioglowfagz What are you talking about? Mao's top general was not Jewish, it is debateable whether his top general was Lin Biao, Zhu De or Peng Dehuai but regardless all are just Chinese.
I really LOVED this series and shared with some friends (those with whom I have the most interesting conversations). Thank you very much for sharing these videos.
And there was much rejoicing! *soft yays* EDIT: I’ve always wondered why many charities posited “awareness” as their main drive toward issues; well this just neatly tied that knot. EDIT: Annnnd the drive for ideological purity leads via human nature to totalitarianism
"In other words, the living, vital truth of social and economic well-being will become a reality only through the zeal, courage, & the uncompromising determination of the intelligent minorities, and not through the mass."- Emma Goldman
Wow. Going into this video, I expected another faux history drenched in Cold War talking points, as is the norm on this platform. But I came out really impressed. The quality of this video is stunning, thank you for your work!
I sadly have to concur that this analysis is true. I'd add that the Leninist or Bolshevik model has become obsolete, as it belongs to the Fordist phase of Capitalism and thus became obsolete c. 1968 in the developed world and shortly afterwards in the developing one. However very valid neo-Leninist organizations continue to follow such a pattern, the main exception being the Kurdish+ "Apoist" revolutionary movement, which has sought an improved more democratic or even "anarchist" approach to communist revolution (but still have Leninist vices and the actual dynamics of constant war and lack of effective alliances do not help).
I think you're correct to an extent - but it is also important to ask why, in the circumstances of WWI, that it was Lenin who succeeded and not the Mensheviks etc. Truth is that Lenin's strategy put the Bolsheviks in the best position to exploit this sort of 'Window of Opportunity', whether WWI or some other anti-establishment event.
@@StrategyStuff Well, yeah There's no denying Lenin's success, and you don't reach that level of success without doing some things right. His analysis is quite interesting (learned a lot about it, btw, thanks) and they were ready to strike and just better than everyone else at that point. I was just wondering how much you can really take away from it all. I guess thise old roman adage will always hold true : Fortune favors the Bold.
So as a full time marxism understander I will be clearing up some miss appropriations in this video. 1) Surplus value 2) Exploitation 3) Unfair wages .Surplus-value is the social product which is over and above what is required for the producers to live Surplus-value is not wages Surplus-value is not profit Surplus-value is not moral or immoral .Exploitation for marx is not a moral category but simply the ratio of proportion of unpaid, surplus labour a worker performs for their employer to the necessary labour workers perform, producing the value equivalent of the wage they are paid. Very much related to Surplus-value .The critique of the capitalist mode of production does not rest on the assumption of "unfair wages". Marx is not a moralist he writes precipitously against people like Pierre-Joseph Proudhon and Ferdinand Lassalle for example he writes in the "Critique of the Gotha Program" this: “Do not the bourgeois assert that the present-day distribution is “fair”? And is it not, in fact, the only “fair” distribution on the basis of the present-day mode of production?". The problem is not that workers do not receive the full value of there work in the form of wages or in other words a "fair day's work for a fair day's pay" but the wages system itself and value itself.
Socialism was not unpopular in 1917. There had been a socialist revolution in 1905 and in the election to the Constituent Assembly the combined socialist parties received +76% of the popular vote
