Some of these watches are absolute God Tier (looking at you Back to the Future) while some are absolute bollocks! Although there is the possibility that the TAG was put in Wolf of Wall-street because of the partnership. I always believed it was a deliberate choice.. in the movie Jordan makes a career by lying to people , making things seem better than what they are, and being flashy. The watch is gilded , just like his promises. It is a true representation of him , his lifestyle , and what he is selling.
That makes a lot of sense, they probably chose Heuer due to the partnership but that explains why they chose a gold plated version rather than just getting a real gold TAG Heuer.
He could afford a gold one tho and later in the movie he wears a Tag made of solid gold

The Heuer you pictured (super-sized) at 1:10 is actually a Heuer 980.022 42mm jumbo from the 1000 series dive watches (not a Professional 2000). That's the mid-sized 984.013 version (they produced child, female, mid-sized, and jumbo-sized versions).
Do you have any idea what the 980.029b is? Looks similar to the watch pictured but doesn’t have “1000” on the dial?

I remember the Casio Remote control watch. In primary school we had a really serious teacher and he used to have very little patience and one of my mates had a remote control casio so when we were asked to watch an educational video one day my mate turned the TV off 3 times and the teacher lost his shit 🤣 he stormed out the room initially and we were all quietly laughing

My best friend had the Casio (God Tier) Remote Control watch back in high school. We used to walk down the halls and turn on or off the TV's in the classrooms and change the channels on the lunch room TV. The school had the same brand of TV's everywhere, so we just programmed the watch to the correct frequency. I have a small collection of Casio's because they are cheap, durable, and fun. G-Shock makes a great gym and mountain biking watch.
The Casio CMD-10 remote watch was the best. Remember walking past electronic shops and turning up the volume on all the tv's, good times :)

In the 90's I was in middle school. I had a friend who had that remote control watch. One day we had a substitute teacher and she put on a VHS tape for the class. My friend was able to get the watch to control the VCR, and he kept stopping and rewinding the tape. At the time it was hilarious, but now I think back on that poor sweet lady who couldn't figure out what was going on and kept apologizing to the class and I want to cry.

I still have that Casio remote control watch from back in the day (one of my first digital watches). Unfortunately the IR sensor doesn't work any more and I could not find the manual from Casio on what "channel" controlled what type of TV. If anyone knows an online version of that manual or how to fix the IR sensor on that watch, please reply. Also, thank you so much for reinvigorating my love for watches Nico.

That is not a tag Heuer professional 2000 series. It is the 1000 series. It is iconic because of this movie and a great watch. Worth about 2500 bucks minimum
