  • I film the wild animals that enter my property at night and then review the new Ceyomur CY95 Solar Trail Cam.
    I was surprised at one large visitor that I had no idea was coming onto my property every night.
    I asked Ceyomur if they'd send me for review their new 4K Trail camera that has a solar panel and internal rechargeable battery. I do a full review of the Ceyomur CY95 Trail Cam including all settings and show footage and stills it recorded.

    I live in a rural area with a stream running through my property. You've piqued my interest in trail cams. I had no idea they were so inexpensive. Now I get to see the animals that are leaving tracks through the snow on my property. Thank you for a wonderful idea and a wonderful channel.

      I love your ‘handel’ Rose Cottage - I didn’t know it was you at first! I’m sure you have a rose round the front door?
      That’s true - I think Trail Cams are good value. As you have snow tracks and a stream, you have a head start in knowing where to try filming. I wonder if there’s a place where the animals tend to cross? If there’s a piece of wood, plank or old fallen tree there’ll be lots a animals using it to cross - to save getting there feet wet!

    We have snow on the ground many months of the year so I have a record each morning of the critters that come around. There are possums, rabbits, squirrels (brats), cats and dear. Another sign in the snow is the type of scat that is left behind.

    Hi Paul, I live in Ohio USA (zone 6a), and I was in the market for a trail cam but you helped me decide which one. My current home cameras have captured rabbits, squirrels, mice, chipmunks, opposums, raccoons, and recently a red fox. I also saw a hawk grab a squirrel while on a platform feeder. I chased it off and saved the squirrel.

    • @paultsworld

      Hi Joanne, good luck with your new trail cam when you get one. Your home cameras are doing a good job - thank you for letting me know the animals that visit as there is certainly plenty happening on your property. Hawks have been getting more common in Britain this last 30 years and often visit gardens. I had one once sitting next to the bird table….waiting.
      Next time you’re rescuing squirrels you’ll have the footage on camera 😀

    We have a couple of very basic cameras around the house. Initially to see a hedgehog but we caught a marten. We hastily checked our car engine room and it did indeed had already started eating the insulation. Managed to scar it away with a peeping device. So all is good but we are yet to wait for the hedgehog!😆🦔👍

    What a fantastic idea! I do meet large animals in the area where I live, especially in the evening, they even visit my street occasionally; sadly, that is neither safe for them nor approved of by the local residents. I mean wild boar, of course.

      That’s a shame you’re not using the trail camera. I have a Garde Pro A3 - in fact all the videos were taken with it (before the CY95 review) and it doesn’t have a solar panel. I think the battery life is good and I put cheap batteries in it.

    Awesome video, Paul.
    Let’s see, we have possums, skunks, wild rabbits, foxes, raccoons.
    During the day we have the rabbits, I’ve seen a fox, wild turkeys.
    There are black bears in our area but I’ve never seen one, thankfully lol.
    Bobcats we saw one crossing a busy road once near our house.

      @@paultsworld Yeah, something not sure what chewed a flower 🌸 off the new hydrangea Summer Crush, the kicker was it didn’t eat it!!! I can’t tell you how mad we were. The weird thing is it didn’t bother it again.
      The rabbits enjoyed eating some cone flowers grrrrr but at least they didn’t eat them all.
      That cat spraying in your garden, not cool! It sounds like it’s not neutered. Do the cats get your songbirds? We don’t have a problem around here with cats, but millions of songbirds are killed by cats every year 🥲.
      All of our cats have been indoor only.

      The cats get plenty of mice and leave them lying around. I sometimes see a pile of feathers so that’s probably cats.
      I chase off any I see during the day so it’s pretty clear in normal hours but I hadn’t realised how many cats, and how often they visit, until I put out the trail cams - depressing really as I know what they’re after.

    • @britishgal1808-Sue
      @britishgal1808-Sue ปีที่แล้ว

      @@paultsworld It is depressing, they typically don’t kill for food it’s prey and it’s in their blood to go after anything that moves.
      We recently adopted a 6 month old kitten and my sister said are you going to let her out to “forage “. I said forage for what songbirds, mice, rats or whatever they see. No we don’t do that, we provide many toys to keep her entertained! I worked with animals for over 20 yrs, 8 years as a Vet Tech and saw many cats that were hit by cars, attacked by dogs poisoned, and so on. You get the idea I’m sure.

    Great video Paul.

    • @paultsworld
      @paultsworld  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Glad you enjoyed the video.
      The call you can hear at 4:22 is a European (or common) magpie. (Latin name pica pica)
      They are becoming more numerous in suburban gardens. Interesting that your possums make a similar noise.

    Is this set to record all the time, or is it picking up on the movement detection ? I’ve bought one today for the squirrels in the garden, can’t wait for it to turn up and start recording. Lovely garden…

    • @paultsworld
      @paultsworld  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I hope it records all that you want and probably also some surprises!
      It uses its sensor to pick up movement and then it starts recording for the amount of time you’ve set it.
      I usually set mine for around 20 seconds. Then it will turn off and wait for the next movement. So you’ll end up with a series of individual videos. Good luck - it’s great fun checking to see what the camera has captured.

    Does this camera have a clear night time preview, without making it record? We have a trail cam which in daytime shows a very clear 4k preview but at night (pitch black, no street or ambient lighting) there's nothing to view unless you actually press record. In which case the IR shows an area clearly.

    • @paultsworld
      @paultsworld  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That’s a good point. If you use the camera wifi then you can see a preview of the scene through the camera - I have tried it at night and saw a clear preview. But there might have been street lights on - I’ll have to double check.

    • @paultsworld
      @paultsworld  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’ve checked and I think the camera is like yours - the LEDs didn’t come on when not recording.
