Back in 2022 my mom passed away and a good friend handed me a Challenger Bounty hunter metal detector to try out on an old property and my first find ever was a 1849 braided hair large cent. Since then ive been watching your vids to know what half the stuff ive been finding is xD metal detecting makes a difference.
Good to see that it looks like your doing better mentally. Its rough having issues and can take quite a while to work thru. One hopes you have done well with the liquidation of the collections. I am having to clean out 25 years of accumulation myself to make an across the US move soon. I can really feel how it is to have to do that, I figure I have enjoyed things long enough time to let others do the same. I kept a few choice pieces and have my memories, Figure you have done the same. I have enjoyed you and the boys on your excursions for a while now. I wish you continued health, luck refilling the collections and many years of loving family and friends. Years go by too darn quick. Best Wishes.

Years ago I was showing my grandfather some of my finds, when I got to a toe tap I found he told me his father use to hammer 2 toe taps out of worn large cents because it was cheaper then buying them. 2 for penny his way.

Nice finds, gents! The IHC's, large cent, and the two cent'er are some definite stand outs. Not sure if you were using some new/different cameras, but excellent photography on this one! The clarity of the handheld was/is stellar! Cheers!

Small buttons like those were used on women's shoes that buttoned up the ankle, usually decorated, so that may be what the tiny button was from.
