    You know what I REALLY like about you Taylor? Your ability to take 2 focal lengths that most shy away from and bang out FIRE! (No pun intended) 24/35/58...it doesn’t matter, they all call you “Daddy”!!!

    Absolutely stunning, Taylor. I've got an engagement session this weekend myself and this has been a big inspiration to me to try new things during it. Usually I just kinda let the couple do what they're going to do, since that's the most natural and I still plan on doing that, but you've showed me some new directions to have them go into. Thanks dude.

      Hah I am. It's cool that a country with a relatively small population has a pretty high density of them. (Same goes for Australia and incredible wedding photographers - the ratio is way above any other country)

    Taylor you are an absolute bloody legend! I was just about to purchase those 5 videos when i saw this video and thought I'd watch it first. You have given me an incredible amount of invaluable information and also the confidence to be a wedding photographer as I am an introvert like yourself. $10 a month on patreon is an insanely good investment compared to the weddings its information books me. Keep up the great work mate and I'm waiting paitently for your new book!

    Hi Taylor and thank you for all your fantastic content I really enjoy seeing how you work and have also invested in your presets as a way to support what you do. I do have a few questions if I may though please?
    1) do you ever use a flat picture profile to shoot photos?
    2) do you tend to expose for highlights or the shadows?
    3) when you are firing off so many shots and moving your position could you do a video on your camera setup and technique for how you so quickly find focus as you move and switch cameras.
    Thank you so much and I look forward to hearing your answers if you have time.
    Kind regards.

    also, at 11:11 you pull out your other camera and holding 2 cameras. Are you using the auto focus in the right hand or are you simply clicking. How is it that the photo that came from your right hand came out so clear?

    When shooting at 1.4 do you still focus on your clients eyes to get the sharpest image? Ive been struggling with sharp images at even 1.8 or 2.8 aperture

    • @taz24787
      @taz24787 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    • @christophermesser5916
      @christophermesser5916 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      always focus on the eyes. you have to use the smallest point possible and put it on their eye. use manual focus to nail focus on someone, then check it in lightroom. if its still not sharp at f2.8, your going to want to try a new lens or upgrade.

  • @rockj8197

    Taylor, your depth of field is pretty shallow at 1.4 when you are close to the couple. What do you tend to focus on? I'm assuming her eye? Do you set your focus point and then leave it there? I notice some focus and recompose but not much or am I just not seeing it? Thanks!

    • @TaylorJacksonPhoto
      @TaylorJacksonPhoto  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I usually get it as close as I can to their eye. Sometimes focus recompose, sometimes just walk the same speed as them. 1.4 at a distance there's more depth of field.

      Taylor Jackson Nice, it’s one of my favorite lenses for my work as well. I’ve chosen a weird mix of lenses for primes, a 28mm 1.4g & 58mm 1.4g on two bodies for weddings and portrait sessions. I just can’t get enough of the look they achieve. In fact I just recently made the jump to the 85mm 1.4g after discovering your channel on TH-cam. I guess I’ve never been a standard lens kind of person. Super relieved to see a successful fellow introvert photographer. Amazing work man!
