André Guigot discusses here about the book he has just published Petite spiritualité de l'amitié, Bayard, 2018
Presentation: In this very original book, which can be considered as a long philosophical meditation on friendship, André Guigot summons multiple thinkers: Agamben, Kant, Pascal, Bachelard, Spinoza... He explores with them this feeling defined by Kant as "love and mutual respect", and shows how friendship is a life-changing event. Not by transforming everyday life through extraordinary things, but slowly, and therefore authentically. He doesn't care much about the modern mania of quantifying everything and highlighting the number of his "friends". And he affirms: the true "progress" in the field of friendship lies in the renunciation of performance. André Guigot finally develops in this book the thesis of "original friendship", which can refer to the love of humanity of which Christ is the purest figure, and which encourages each person to let himself experience a feeling close to friendship towards his neighbour, as well as towards all those who have a common destiny.
André Guigot is an Associate Professor of Philosophy and a graduate of the International College of Philosophy. A specialist in Sartre, he gives numerous conferences. His books are oriented towards the themes of love and nature.

Très bon argumentaire, un orateur de qualité qui s'exprime clairement. Cela fait plaisir de voir que la société d'aujourd'hui n'est pas entièrement constituée de profonds débiles qui réfutent les arguments avec lesquels ils ne sont pas d'accord.
