    Thumbs Up ! Just purchased 200l . Have 3 Ecoflo , 2 jackery ,1 Pecron. This will be my 7th solar generator . Nice to have when the power goes out . Lost power 18 hours first Winter outage . 20 hours 2nd power outage . Have 2 Honda gas generators with a transfer switch to my home but will use the gas generators to charge my solar generators . Saved all the food in my 2 refrigerators . Just nice to know you have back-up power-silent too . No gas or oil .
    Have 2 solar panels too if I run out of gas .

    You kill a review. That was spot on full of all the information I could ask for. What would be fun is to see some torture testing of what it can handle in an incident like dropping it out of your truck bringing it to camp or if a light misting is an instant failure.

    Excellent video man and you just gained a new subscriber. This was the best, no bs and no fluff review of this product.
    I'm interested in this for our boat as an alternative to install LiFePo4 batteries and all the extra parts that go along with that kind of set up.
    It would be really interesting to see the solar input combined with a small wind turbine. I guess you have to size the two so that if the turbine was at its max output combined with the solar that you wouldn't excess the 145v and 15 amps.

    Nice review... thanks for posting. How many watts does it draw in Silent Charging (slowest charge) ? And how long does it take from 0 to 100% ?
    I'm considering this unit to augment my single eu2200 generator (on propane), and I don't want to push the generator too much for too long while charging.

    Hey Justin, love the video! Just wondering what your thoughts were about heat distribution if it was kept running in a confined space like in the front compartment of an RV. I'd like to keep it permanently hooked up to solar panels and have the RV plugged into it but the unit would be in an enclosed space. How do you think it would do for a 2 week period running continuously? Cheers!

    • @JustinsProject
      @JustinsProject  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I think it would be fine. Especially if it had some sort of ventilation. I'm not sure I would seal it up in a box with absolutely no ventilation, though. But within reason, I think it would work perfectly in a small area.

    Hi. Great review. Thanks. Is the AC input separate from the AC outputs? What I mean by this is if I have a Honda 1000w Inverter Generator supplying AC power to the unit and I have a 2000w load on the AC outputs does the unit just use it's battery to supply the 2000w? Or...if I have the generator at 1000w supplying AC power and I have a 500w load on the AC outputs does the unit bypass the inverter side and supply the load directly from the AC input?

    • @JustinsProject
      @JustinsProject  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@JustinsProject Thank you. So when the load exceeds the input wattage from the generator it switches over to battery inverter to supply the load? Is it ok for it to go back and forth doing this or could this be a possible issue if done frequently? No harm is asking before I purchase so could you do a test for me? Plug in to AC charge and set to silent AC charging (800w) then plug in a heat gun or something about 2000-2400w, turn on, turn off a few times and see what happens. Is there a lot of clicking and does the heat gun hesitate for a second or is it completely seamless. Thanks.

      The big problem is that the AC200L will not take an AC charge even from a Honda inverter generator producing pure sign wave power. The firmware engineers cannot figure out why but it has to be in the DSP firmware since the early units with DSP version 10 would take an AC charge from a Honda EU200i inverter generator but now with versions 15 or 16 it will not and they can not figure it out. The customer service is so poor that they will not even try to run down the bug but want me to just return it for a refund! I am in that process now but if you need a power station to be able to charge from Solar, Grid AC and generator AC, bottom line is do not buy a Bluetti AC 200L. Looking at their website last night, it seems they have taken the actual charging input data of the website which tells me they are probably removing the AC generator charging capability from their machines! Why in the world they would limit their systems like this, logic cannot explain it!

    I purchased an AC200L about 6 months ago and recently in a storm period, we could not use solar and the grid power was out. We ran our AC200L down to 20% and tried to hook up our Honda EU2000i inverter generator but it would not charge the Bluetti! Very disappointing in the manuals and advertisements at purchase said it would. I’ve been able finally to get in touch with customer service, no easy feat, and they have run me around the loop trying different app settings to allow the generator to charge the AC200L but nothing seems to work! They are now trying to work on the firmware which has been my suspicion all along. Someone updated the firmware and made the AC200L unable to charge off a generator. If they cannot fix the problem, the AC200L is worthless in my opinion and what’s worse is Bluetti has been selling these units under false pretenses. Time will tell but without multiple charging methods this unit is severely limited. Finally, customer service and owners manuals are almost worthless to top the cake off. Caveat emptor!

    • @JustinsProject
      @JustinsProject  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      They they get the firmware updated since you posted your comment?

    • @garyhorne4739
      @garyhorne4739 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      They have updated the firmware three times and finally threw up their hands! The first DSP version was 15, then they did 16 and finally last week did another tweek to 16 but instead of calling it 17, they just continued to call it 16. From my experience with computer software generations, each new change written into the firmware must have a new version number or else you wind up what the these guys have! Now there are two different versions of their DSP firmware out there with the same version but with different specifications. This will really mess things up it’s up. Finally after all this over the past weeks, the Bluetti AC200L will not take a AC charge from Honda EU2000i that is a pure sine wave inverter generator producing 120v, 60 Hz and 1600 watts of output. They simply cannot find out why, and don’t seem to care, why the AC200L will not take an AC generator charge from a high end inverter generator producing a pure sine wave output.

    • @daviedood2503
      @daviedood2503 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      @@garyhorne4739 i think its bc its 1600 watts from the generator and max is 1400 watts that can come in. Could be over loading a fuse or something inside the blue yetti. Something inside the honda is producing a number over what the blue yetti is setup for. Not sure if u got a buddy with a "different" gas generator to test it out? Something smaller than what you were using.

    But is it the new king?? The 200 Max can be recharged via EV stations and the 200L can not. Plus they took away the 2 wireless phone chargers on the top (and a few other small things). So No I don't think the 200 L is the king! Now the new Bluetti AC240 that is coming soon. They have brought BACK some of the things they took away from the 200 Max. So the new king maybe the AC240???. But not the 200L.

    • @JustinsProject
      @JustinsProject  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The 200 Max is a great power station as well. However there are advantages to the AC200L, higher output (2400w vs 2200w) solar input ( 1200w vs 900w) max charging rate (2400w vs 1400w) - At the end of the day, it really depends on the user and their needs. I am very interested in the AC240 because that IP65 rating is a huge step forward. But... the starting capacity will be reduced to 1536Wh down from 2048Wh . Again, it comes down to the user and their needs. Thanks for watching and commenting.

    • @sunseeker8457
      @sunseeker8457 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@JustinsProject True. The Max is for me for the extra re-charing options with the EV stations. I find that I don't even use the full max of the 900w solar input. Let alone 1200w. And I get the new AC240 is IP65 rated. But why? Who would use it in the rain / outside near water? The unit maybe IP65. But once you open a port and plug a 110v/ 240v socket in or plug your iPhone. Water can then enter in that way. Or ???

    This thing is nothing but a big battery and a computer not a generator. This guy and others talk it up because the company gave it to them free for that purpose. This will not replace a real generator. They run out of power quick and your done. No solar cell is charging it quick enough to keep it running and if its bad weather there is no sun and the wind will blow the panels away. Nobody can work on them. If it goes bad your trucking it back and its heavy (at your cost). A real generator fill it with gas and thats it! Anybody can fix it. You dont want to use one of these things for an emergency that lasts more than a few hours. On top of all that there super expensive. And the batteries go bad, the computer locks up and you have to restart it to get it to work again. Dont buy one.
