- เผยแพร่เมื่อ 26 มิ.ย. 2024
- The $179 AC2A is Bluetti's cheapest portable power station ever. It comes in with a 204.8Wh battery and many features from the EB3A. But, the real question is…Does it pack a big punch?
Note: Power Lifting Mode is specifically designed to handle resistive loads up to 600w including electric blankets, kettles, hairdryers, and other heating devices.

You're the best! I always love your videos. So much great information. Well done!
I appreciate you sharing this message. I’m glad you enjoyed it.
Smaller and powerful?! I love it already!!!
Nice little unit, thank you for posting.
Right on! Thanks for stopping by. I’ve got the bigger one coming soon.
Thank you for sharing. Very informative.
Awesome! Thanks for watching.
I really like your video, great job!
This seems a good idea. I have an eb3a and it’s great. I don’t use the wireless charging as it’s slow and the light is unnecessary. This is the eb3a without the bits I don’t use. Separate solar connector is good too.
Nice! Thanks. I’ll go see how much it is
It will be $179 and sales start on 2 November. Thanks for watching.
Damn it. Now I have to buy another Bluetti. 😊
This is great with wireless and flashlight features.
Sounds like this maybe comparable or better than the jackery 240. Thanks for the review!
It’ll be $179. So, not expensive at all. It has better features, except a slightly smaller battery.
Mine just arrived, I’m excited to give it some stress testing. I like the flexibility of tiny back-packable size.
Awesome, enjoy. Do you make videos as well?
@@OffGridAdventure Not many yet. I’m an “ambassador” for them. Working on three videos for the AC300 currently, and now also the AC2P.
Bluetti, I’m watching you live, I’d love to have this!
Congrats on being the first! Did you update the firmware on the AC2A before testing? I have 2 of the EB3As and i found that the BMS was not calibrated. I had to first charge them up to 100% and then update the firmware (mine required both the system and BMS firmware updates). After updating, the battery when from 100% to 65% and i again recharged them to 100%. They have been running continuously in UPS mode for about 1.5 years and i haven't had any problems and they have weathered many blackouts of an hour or more. You may want to try this and 70% seems quite low. Hope you got one of the AC70Ps for review too! Thanks for a great review!
Hi, it was up to date. But, it’s possible that the BMS needed calibration. I have an EB3A as well with no issues after one year.
I've been looking at jackery but I'll look at Bluetti some more
The new Jackery lineup is much better than their older models. So, you really can’t go wrong with either.
What about a little 300w immersion heater device to boil water?
Would this unit run a cpap machine? If so, for how long?
I’m still trying to get an understanding of how much of a difference the smaller inverter makes I guess in terms of operating cost compared to the Eb3a. Or I could just be honest with myself and ask how much of me wanting this new toy can I justify (I love the handle!) 😂
Nicely done. I have 3 of the EB3As and enjoy them for what they are. My average cost for them was $209 and the extra $30 is well worth it. I like that Bluetti went to Xt60 connection for PV input but losing wireless and 5521 DC ports seems too much, add in less capacity and AC output and I am like you, backpack or small apartment.
I didn't see weight but the way you were handling it makes me think less than 7 lbs.? Maybe an add on capacity for the EB3A or AC180 but 9AH battery will only add 75% capacity.
Thanks for the video!
$209 wowee we get ripped downunder. $499 on special here so about $310USD
@@AussieMatias Probably tariffs and shipping, but comparison to the AC2A is most likely similar.😃
Wow…cute little Baby Blue!!! Nice to carry around the house or out and about for simple needs…
How well also.. will a Tecsun 380 small SW / AM/FM Radio work and last using this unit
I would check what voltages the MB need and what the bluetti give
Hi ...Thanks for sharing I love it 😊 I'm trying to save for a small one just to charge my phone and notebook 😮 be safe 😊
Hi Yvonne. Thanks for stopping in. I appreciate all of your comments and feedback. I’m glad you enjoyed the video.
I have 2 questions...
1) what kind of LED lights and how long will they run in an off grid cabin. ..
2) how well ..or..will it run in a cold (not) yet heated hot tent in extreme cold
32* F. And dropping to -0*F and lower.. if its left in a tent or cabin..
You might get a better percentage total if you draw more AC load. At 30 watts, adding the inverter running load of approximately 6 watts is an extra "invisible" 20% usage at 30 watts.
That’s true! I try to get close to 0.2C in testing to keep it consistent. But, the inverter does play a huge role in parasitic draw.
@@OffGridAdventure I've found that, it's very noticeable on a light load for a long time. I find most 300 watt inverters draw about 6 watts continuously just to operate, irrespective of load level. I've just bought some 12 volt LED light bulbs for my table lamps so I can run them on the DC output and turn the AC inverter off if not needed. If I used 5 watts of mains voltage LED lighting on the inverter I would get less than 50% efficiency.
Bought a refurbished eb3a ahile ago, about $150. I also have a "togo power" station 231wh. The bluetti is just not efficient enough. Under small loads it seems to have shorter run times, higher watt loads i dont see the conversion losses as much. I like some of the features the ac2a has like turning off the bluetooth but with the poor conversion numbers its questionable.
Those are some interesting and valid observations. I’ve noticed most small LFP batteries have a lower conversion rate than their larger counterparts.
Ran my bar fridge which drew 73Watts of power for 11 hrs. Going to try it on my apartment size fridge. Could handle the apartment size fridge.. I am returning it because I got either a faulty one or it has serious problems. The unit stopped charging if it was moved in any way. the bluetooth connection kept on disconnecting. i had the unit plugged into a wall outlet and then plugged my bar fridge into the unit. i later found out there was no throughput and my fridge wasn't cold. i left the unit without anything charging it for 2 days and it dropped to a 62% charge so it doesn't keep a charge. i am very disappointed because it looks ver nice and is very light and compact. it power delivery is not steady enough to trust with running a computer.
U r great.
Can this work in the Philippines?
I am going on a van camper road trip in May '24 and need to power a cooler fridge, and a kettle and hot plate. I want to power it with a foldout solar panel. Which Blueti do i buy???
Same thoughts as your other comment. If you can get something with 2kWh then you’ll have a few days worth of power. It’ll also run a hot plate, kettle and mini fridge.
Would this be sufficient to power a laptop, modem and monitor during a power outage?
If you have modern gear, yes, at least for a couple of hours.
Can you have this plugged into mains electricity and have something plugged into it to act as a battery backup?
What you find out?
@@elcanowafter testing it does supply power while connected to the grid and will keep topping up the battery as it is used.
i wonder how this bluetti ac2a compares to the jackery explorer 300. apparently the explorer 300 models die after two years.
Hi, I made a comparison of the 240 with the EB3A last year, and the explorer could not keep up. I just got the new explorer 300 and plan to make a video about it soon.
AMZ link says "Currently Unavailable" and has a picture of the EB55.
Bluetti says that it will go on sale Nov 2nd at 7pm
Goes live on 2 Nov. $179.
Correct! This is a preview.
do you think a rice cooker would be able to run off of this long enough to cook a meal?
It really depends on which kind of rice cooker. If you have a specific model I can check the specs.
What solar panels are compatible? Thank you.
That’s what I’m looking for. I have 100 watt solar panels, I wish these reviewer would show what type of connections we need….. Ooops spoke too soon he does show that it comes with the cord to charge with solar panels. Thank You OGA!!
I use the swarey 100watt panel with this generator and the jackery Explorer
Did I miss the part about whether it has UPS functionality? I've got the EB3A and the UPS function is absolute garbage. It shuts itself down, which is useless to me as a UPS for my wifi router and modem.
Yes I was looking for that answer also
Yes, UPS function is no good on mine.
No 12V barrel plugs? DC to DC more efficient. Else not bad.. But still like the EB3A more. 600W much more useful.
Yeah, I agree. The EB3A is cheap refurbished too.
The main benefit of the AC2A over the EB3A seems to be the low price of $179 for folks that don’t want to spend as much.
Put an egg in it!!! lol
Hobotech got a much more favorable AC drain then you did🤔🤔🤔
How much are they.
Just got the price. $179.
@@OffGridAdventure awesome definitely picking one up! Thank you Sir!
@@OffGridAdventureSadly I think they’re a little off on the price. The EB3A is only $209 most of the time. So for $30 more you get quite a bit more. I’m gonna buy one of these anyway. 😂
159.00 on Amazon right now
Bluetti
Watching for 5 min and still dont know how many watts it is .
ფასი რა აქვს
$0.87/Wh is too high.
it requires an APP...
sad it can not be updated other than using a SMART PHONE
good luck with that, I will NOT be purchasing
12v car charger is NON-STANDARD, not available at this time
