Thanks! Only had Model S / C, so can’t really compare them to other Elektron gear, but really enjoying them so far. Mainly using cycles for synths/some percussive sounds, but it’s not included in our live setup - prefer to resample everything to Samples for playing live and doing some knob twisting on the loops for production. As for TR8S, mainly use it for drums, and it’s really great for live sets/jams, but once again, guess it will be hard to compare it to Model S / C since we use them for different purposes in our setup. If the choice was between these three - would pick cycles, since you can just plug it in and start creating. Though you can say the same about Samples, just need to spend some time loading your sounds, but Elektron Transfer makes it an easy thing to do
@@brak_music interesting. I am receiving a tr-8s next week. Heard the build quality on it is quite good, would you say the same about the Models? Also wonder how the FM engines on the TR compare to the Cycles. I am mainly getting it for the classic Roland sounds though. By the way, I didn’t realise that Samples can actually record audio! Or are you recording into the daw and then exporting the files to it?
@@ozzy3ml no complaints about build quality of all three, just wish Model S / C pads were a bit softer, but to each his own Cycles offers more variation when it comes to FM, you can definitely dive deeper compared to TR8S, but we got it for classic Roland drum sounds as well ( + loaded lots of our own one shots). Yeah, what I meant is that we usually make some loops/one shots on Cycles, then record it to DAW and export to Samples
