    This looks great! Funny enough I am searching for a 35mm to use with my Komodo as well since I primarily do weddings and although the sigma 24-70 is great I still prefer a prime lol. I absolutely love the shot of her standing in front of the water though absolutely killer shot!

      Thanks Joe! Yeah having a 1.4 on a 35 looks really nice. Especially when shoot on wider lenses, having really fast prime lenses makes a huge difference. I find, once I open up past f2, there just isn’t enough separation on wide shots.

    New sub. Beautiful work!! Is this shot on handheld or gimble? Do you plan to upgrade for the X?

    • @mateoallen

      All shot handheld. I think of if I upgrade it will be to a v-raptor for the built in ND’s and some of the other pro features. For now the Komodo is still doing everything I need it to.

    what lenses did you use so cool!

      Mostly the sigma 35 1.4. And then occasionally the canon 100mm

    Hi dude! excelent shots. Which are minimum technical characteristics of a computer needed to colorize and edit komodo's R3D RAW footage?

    • @mateoallen

      Hey! Great question. There are a variety of things that would go into the performance, but I would say if you are on any of the M series chips from apple or widows equivalent, you should be okay. If you start doing Multicam work, that can require more pressing. You can also proxy when editing on a less capable machine and that will help a lot. As far as raw video goes, redcode raw is the best bang for buck as far as performance to data goes. Especially when shooting LQ, I was surprised how well my M1 Max could handle it. I usually don’t have to proxy at all.

    What drone do you use to pair with komodo, so amazing

      I actually just used the mini 3 pro for this one. But usually I am using the mavic 2 pro, haven’t upgraded to the 3 yet.

    Hi Mateo, I wonder if u can help me please? when I want to color grade red footage in Davinci using a Mac m2, every export looks desaturated! but when I use the settings that all use here in TH-cam to fix that, the R3D RAW immediately looks like rec709 (it looks the same, but when I compare, they are not the same) without applying the color space transform using the official red luts.
    PS: The video was incredible!!!!

      Hey Eduardo! Are you using resolve or premiere?

    • @eduardoacevedounda2468

      @@mateoallen Hi, davinci resolve

    • @mateoallen

      @@eduardoacevedounda2468 It’s hard to know without seeing what you are seeing. I would say that the colour processing on colour space transform and the 709 conversion lut from red is slightly different. And then on export you usually will lose some contrast and saturation since you are compressing the file. But it shouldn’t be drastic.

    Actually, we have the same computer! What do you add on it make it be able to edit and capture all of that big Red files?

    • @mateoallen

      I find the M1 Max handles R3D files pretty well right out of the box. But if my project starts to slow down once I add effects or build out the timeline, I’ll use either caching or proxies and that typically does the trick. Resolve has really good smart caching and proxy features now, so you barely have to think about it.

    Hey, what computer do you edit on?

      For the last couple years I have been editing on the MacBook M1 Max, but recently I upgrade to the MacBook M3 Max. Great machines and for me it’s the perfect combo of power and mobility
