As a Snowrunner player, I was waiting for you to catch the curb or a pothole with a wheel and end up flipping over

That startup sound at 0:22 is so nostalgic for me. My dad has one and I really want to get one of my own someday!

Super awesome rig! Anyone would be an idiot for not thinking otherwise

My first car was a 1962 Scout. They were mostly a tractor and could climb just about anything.

Beautiful rig. My first vehicle when I turned 16 was a '67 scout 266 V8. Loved that thing and have been kicking myself for 30 years for ever selling it. They are worth big bucks these days....especially one as nicely restored as yours. Noticed you have Oregon plates....maybe I'll get the pleasure of seeing it around one of these days!

joesfamilyfarm I’m thinking of buying a 1977 scout that has the original diesel motor on it I posted pictures on my Instagram and was thinking of making a TH-cam video but never got around to it but I absolutely love the body style of the old scouts

I'm not sure what put a bug up everyone about the gauges. I like the dash. I had a 64 scout and 69 and they both had Stuart Warner type gages in them. The 64 I believe had a manual choke on a 4 cylinder. Also had vacuum wipers. Same color green BTW. It looks like an international motor in the bay. Great job.

I think it was pretty close to the shade of green here.

Beautiful looking Scout. Thanks for the ride. I'm not sure about the gauges. Call me naive, but I would think that if you're going to restore an old car, that you'd want the same gauges as originally came with the car.

Not original for sure. Looks beautiful but instead of restoration, I'd call it an enhancement. My 67 Scout doesn't have power steering, radio, extra gauges and panel lights, automatic transmission, and a suped up engine. Mine is 100% all original, which people love. Is it truly a Scout anymore if you make these such enhancements and drop new engines in it? I'm sure there's a debate there but otherwise, it's just a Scout shell. Beautiful looking for sure!

Scout 800s had an option for the 304 or 345 v8s. The automatic transmission and transfer case is from a Scout II. You can tell by the shift mechanisms used.

The power steering is also off of a Scout II, which would be an easy bolt on mod. If it was me I would also install AC from a Scout II since the compressor would be bolt on, but this guy is in Oregon and probably doesn't need it.

Well, I agree, however, it's really hard to keep stock. Mine is all stock and will keep it that way. If you wanna gogo you really can't and I have arm muscles from mine. 68 and a daily driver.

@@lilredscout Daily driver sounds nice. I hear what you're saying. Mine gets out of the shop and then needs to go right back in for the same things all the time. Not starting. Constant battle.

How much did it take to get it this level?
