WOW!! I have got to go there very soon. I live in Albany, so right in my area. I have rockhounded around Green Peter Reservoir since I could walk. Some of the best obsidian I have ever seen have been from the banks of one of the little islands, out on the big lake. For years we camped up there every summer. So many crystals up Quartzville Creek, beautiful jasper too.

See, for me, the dig sight is my thing. Being the first person to ever see a stone is my thrill. Buf still, looking at these stones helps me to tune my eyes.
