@@PaulStewartAviation I always wondered what's so secret in the F-22 that America refused to sell the plane to any other country?. It still blows my mind that the F-22 was designed in the late 80's early 90's that's 30 years ago and the plane looks so futuristic like it was just designed in 2019. If America designed this incredible aircraft in the early 90's then I can't even imagine what kind of secret projects they must have now in 2019. One guy that worked on US secret projects said that it would blow our minds if we were shown what America is secretly building, he said it looks like something completely out of this world, that it would be hard to wrap our brains around if we would see it. And I believe him, if they built aircraft like the B-2, F-22, F-117 over 30 to 40 years ago then what they're building now would probably take our breath away. Thanks for the video Paul.
Absolutely! I too was surprised when I found out how old the F-22 actually is! I guess they're such expensive aircraft that you don't want to design a new one too regularly! As we're seeing with the latest generation of Russian jets, they're very expensive and time consuming to develop.
Great video & the new camera had incredible focus on tight shots. Doesn't look hot lol, til you see the heat haze & had experienced it ! Well done for all of the videos. The F22 Raptor is my favourite, with its incredible power to move laterally in the sky . The JSF was great & the heavies were fabulous. And always love a JQ 332 screaming down the runway ah wait KC30 lol Great work in very trying circumstances. The wind in the background is also a measure of the difficult circumstances :)
I love the way C-17, C130 and CH-47 loadmasters hang out of doorways and hatches when the planes/helicopters are on the ground taxying. In a strange coincidence, one of my clients (hence me) are going to do some installation work on the Wedgetails within 2 weeks. I have never been to RAAF Amberley so looking forward to it.
i remember being 6 or 7 as a kid, sitting atop my roof in geelong with my sisters and dad watching the amazing f/a-18s and the f-22s fly over, the roar of the engines as they went past. ahh the good old days
Really nice video Paul, this looked like a very exciting airshow, would love to have experienced it!! Best Regards from Copenhagen, Denmark - Maxi and Maro.
Paul Stewart the 501st legion and Rebel legion are charity costuming clubs, we’re worldwide and focus on screen accuracy. Anything we do is for raising money or awareness
Hi mate, yep that was in the video although unfortunately I didn't capture the actual birdstrike (people blocking the view) although I got the direct aftermath when they slammed on the brakes.
Good sound good audio, but it’s to windy maybe you could try use something to stop the wind, and I love the Avalon air show I’m from geelong and I went to the Friday and the Sunday show
Hi mate, I've since bought a microphone so that gets rid of most of the wind. Check out my footage from the Wings Over Illawarra where there was a lot less wind noise :)
You know one thing I don’t like about Avalon airshow is the goofy music and commentary. Like we came there to see and hear these aircraft in all their beauty
Thanks Paul for sharing the airshow with us , I really enjoyed the video, it captured the show for me . I didn’t attend this year . I love aeroplanes of all shapes and sizes , and have attended many Farnborough , Paris and RIAT over the years , but never heard such banal and irritating music as played over the speakers at Avalon . I wish the organisers would ditch these “American “ ideas , thinking its adds to the show , which it doesn’t . Roll on the WOI in May , I’ll be there for that , at least HARS will be centre stage and not relegated to the not invited list .
Glad you enjoyed it David! I completely agree about the music! We're all avgeeks and the aircraft noise itself is enough for us!! I might see you at WOI!
Paul Stewart . Yes the turbofans are music to my ears too . I may well see you at WOI , I’ll keep a look out for you . Being a local show , I’ll most probably be there both days .cheers ..
Hi Paul, my family and I were thinking of travelling to the US later this year, and I was wondering which airline you would recommend for that journey. Thanks Mate!
The F-22 Raptor is the most beautiful jet ever built, it just looks like something out of a science fiction movie.
I completely agree! It looks like a bat-plane! :)

Aviation Nut . And the Americans are still flying the F117 secretly , although officially it’s retired .

Hmmmmm... you had me at "Globemaster"... what a beast! Thanks for braving the heat. Cheers for posting...
Thanks Michael. Like my first class reviews, I make the sacrifice for my subscribers ;) I've uploaded more Globemaster footage to my EXTRA channel :)
I know it's kinda off topic but do anybody know a good site to stream newly released tv shows online ?
@Callen Tyler Meh I use Flixportal. You can find it on google :D -holden
@Holden Milo Thank you, I went there and it seems to work :D I really appreciate it !
Very interesting! Thanks Paul! Loved the footage of the C17!

That would be awesome getting so close to the Wedgetails! I was disappointed that they didn't land and takeoff during the show like they did in 2017.
@@PaulStewartAviation Hey maybe I can take some video footage of the interior and post it on your channel. Er..No.
hehe
All those beautiful planes in one place, you are a very lucky fellow.

Wow i actually went to this airshow.
Never thought such a legend was there
Hope you enjoyed it and survived the weather!
Mate it was so hot! i had never had so many icy poles in my life!
haha it was horrendous! Windy and hot! Hopefully it'll be cooler in 2 years!
Hopefully!
I need to go to the next show! 🙌
Man, that C-2 is fantastic!
It's pretty cool

I went on the Friday night. I admire all the people who went on the Saturday and endured the heat.

Farewell Brothers 😂👍🏻
Outstanding video. Well done.
Thanks Michael :)
Farewell Brothers! Sorry @jebbrooks made me do it! ;-)
haha
Nice shots of the RAAF, USAF, and other Air Forces Paul. Did you see the 501st Legion there (the people in Star Wars costumes, Imperial ones)?
Thanks mate. No I didn't see them but I did see people in bright orange uniforms that looked like the rebels from StarWars :)
Paul Stewart yep that’d be the Rebel Legion, I’m in the QLD chapter and I’ll probably come down for 2021
Cool! What is that?

Amazing video and great channel. I love C-17. Liked and subbed.

I Really wanna see an Airshow but its ok nice catch Paul!
Thanks mate
Farewell Brothers.
Did you film the USAF C-17 rejected takeoff due to bird strike? That was cool to see!

some pics on FB of the flameout :)

Great footage. Was there for the three days. Flew in my gyro. Terribly hot and dusty. Could you explain a bit about the camera you were using, please.
Thanks mate. Yep the weather was pretty horrific haha. My camera is a Fujifil xt3 and I was using a 50-200 fujifilm lens :)
nice and interesting Paul
Glad you enjoyed it Yannis!

Fair enough. I personally enjoy the commentary
@@PaulStewartAviation well yeah the commentary is good but I think it’s better if they stop when an aircraft is flying past?

Hi Paul, my family and I were thinking of travelling to the US later this year, and I was wondering which airline you would recommend for that journey. Thanks Mate!
Hi mate, QF are good.
Depends on where you are flying from. If from an Asian country, SQ. If from Australia or New Zealand, take an airline that does Long Haul routes.
@@stephenwibowo6251 Im flying from Sydney so I will probably take QF, thanks mate
@@PaulStewartAviation Thanks Paul!!
@@c4j708 what airport are you flying to here in the US?
Nice footage Paul, personally I am a fan of the old warbirds over the modern jets, something about a piston engine and prop.
Thanks mate. Yeah there wasn't a lot of older aircraft this time. Wings Over Illawarra is in May and that's sure to have more of the older stuff :)
You don't often see giant planes backing themselves up.
Very true! Check out my other videos where I've got more footage of the C-17 backing up on the other day.
Hi im going for 2023 airshow. First time. Any tips on where to stand for the best unobstructed view?
Get there as early as possible, take fold up chairs and get a spot near the fence. And don’t leave the spot
@@PaulStewartAviation i did buy the gold ticket...is the superhornet grandstand good enough?? Or still better to go to the fence😅
Hey Paul, what equipment are you using for these videos?
ummm this was years ago. I think it was a Fujifilm X-T3with terrible, terrible auto focus.
excellent
Thanks mate

f-22 is just too cool
Better than 4-5 hr que's.
