That was awesome guy's... your camera work was extraordinary... Looks like the best airshow for years. Now I wish I had gone. Keep up the good work and looking forward to next week's episode 👍
awesome content guys, i found it really interesting and the quality of questions you guys were asking i thought were fantastic. thanks again for posting this!
Actually this ties in quite well for me as 4wd/camping . Last year while camping out past Cangai on the north coast of NSW I was buzzed twice by fighter jets running training missions in pairs through the mountains. Very "Tommorow When The War Began" moment for me and the dog
I’ll admit I only clicked on for the aircraft.. But checked out your channel and you have everything I like , so…. New subscriber from the UK for you. Well done guys 😊
I went to the show Friday and Saturday. Friday we went by train and bus and was great. We then made a big mistake by going there by car on Saturday. It took two and a half hours to get in (some never did ) but it took four hours to get out of the carpark that evening. I remember going to the show back in the 90's and had the same problem. You would think after all this time they would have sorted this problem by now. On the Gold coast we have the boat show and they made the decision years back that going by car was not on. So you go to various park venues with multiple access points and then bus into the show. This is a show that has one hundred and forty thousand plus people turn up on a weekend.
Couldn't agree more. It is the selfish, thoughtless twats who caused the traffic chaos in their private cars and disadvantaged the smart, thoughtful ones who used public transport. They knew terns of thousands of people were heading to the same place at the same time on roads with only two lanes. WTF did they think was going to happen?
Thanks guys, that was a interesting walk around. FYI, the Lockheed C-5 Galaxy . . . if that was the Transport you were in, has seating above the cargo deck for up to 80 passenger . . . one Air Craft I loved looking over in my time in the RAAF . . . an awesome aircraft. Envy you guy living so close. Been meaning to go to the Avalon Air Show for about 20 years . . . and still haven't got there yet.
Awesome video! As someone who works on fighter jets and is around a lot of the jets you featured in this video I have to say yall asked some really good questions and had great prior knowledge on these aircraft! cheers!
The G-wagons have both a 12v and a 24v system and the 24v alternator was down low and use to get filled with water and mud and would crap itself and go into limp mode. Even driving on a freeway in the rain set them off sometimes. When the MAN trucks first came out the HX77 (8×8) use to snap the leaf springs on the rear steer axle.
Was hoping for some more on the ute build, but this is pretty cool to. I've been to a couple of air shows in Townsville. There were pretty awesome, but nothing like you lads have. Cheers for bringing us along
4:57 Well for a comparison you need to look at litres per hundred klics PER TON! 11:42 Now you're looking at (and hearing) some real history. So great to see young blokes like yourself taking such an interest in the defence of our country.
Great coverage of the Avalon Airshow guys. Don't know how it escaped my attention this year but had totally forgotten about it, so thanks for the video.
Thanks mate! We spoke to a heap more, but i tried to condense the video down a bit, but all really great to talk too, very knowledgeable and real friendly !
Interesting to hear you say, "Imagine seeing that thing come over in a War Zone". As an Aussie veteran we had heaps of support from our USAF counterparts and having those fellas turn up and support scares the living begeezus out of the enemy. Handy to have.
After watching this, kicking myself for not getting along this year. Not the Patrol build , 4wding or camping related, still a great episode. Thx for uploading Cheers
Considering most of Friday was spent staring into the sun as the runway is West of the viewing area. You got some amazing footage. Gotta love the domestic flights in a holding pattern above Avalon while fighter jets pissfart around for the crowd.
Thanks for the tour gents. It looked like a bloody good show. I missed out this year as tickets where sold out. It brought back memories when I was in the Australian Army Reserve and flew in a C-130 & C-17 during war game exercises in the NT. Also my father used to fly F-4s in the USAF during the 70s and was based in Clark AFB in the Philippines.
Fantastic video... I'll say this for you Aussies, you put on one heck of an air show. If I could afford the fare I'd fly down for one. And well done on getting the interviews with the crews and pilots.
The Airshow was wonderful! I think some ww2 vets & Vietnam vets probably had some flashbacks of being in battle with the P-51 Mustang and spitfire, I got some beautiful pics of the C-17 Globemaster though, When leaving after the Wall of fire, the traffic management was sh*t, it took me 3 hours just to leave the so called "Parking Area", How was exiting the Airshow for you on friday?
A tad scary, can´t help but always wonder.... Imagine you just pulled your damper out of the coals and spot the boing drone above you (knowing it belongs to people that might think you are the enemy). Great content boys.
FYI boys the reason the F22 cannot be exported to ANY other foreign nation, even to Australia and other seriously close US allies is due to one critical reason - 'The Obey Amendment', maybe suss the 'reasons why' specific US military kit is not to be exported. The max speed of this amazingly awesome jet is mach 2.2. For context a Super Hornet/Growler's max speed is mach 1.8. Well done fella's.
10 points to those who recognise the intro music 🎶

Thanks Gary! Yeah it was a really good show! Thanks for watching!!
You did a bloody good job of holding the camera steady and keeping the jets in frame when there flying so fast hahah. Good stuff boys
awesome content guys, i found it really interesting and the quality of questions you guys were asking i thought were fantastic. thanks again for posting this!

Great vid. Sad they are retired but would be epic to see the old F111 still show up

C17 carried those people out of Afghanistan not the C5, now just imagine how much the C5 could carry if the C17 could carry over 800!
