I do worry that the premium will not be recovered with these coins. The royal mint are the most expensive mint around but they are beautiful. I like the onza Mexican coins
Sorereigns and jubilee stuff have eclipsed the beasts 😂 These look amazing indeed. New beast coming next week though! 😮 Nobody's talking about them... Again! 🤔
I have a Jubilee Sovereign. It's a must have. :) I usually do not buy proof coins. I made a lot of bad experiences with proof coins and I do not have the time to deal with mints and getting my proof coins replaced. I also bought the Australian Jubilee commemorative coins. Have a great weekend buddy.
I have the 2022 Sovereign and never really liked the design, but that matte finish on the 5Sov really adds something to it. Not enough for me to buy one, but a pretty coin nonetheless.
Having picked up the quarter half full and double sovereign for the year I am desperate for the quintuple but unfortunately came at completely the wrong time for me 😩🔥
@@BackyardBullion I managed to get one although only just, if I remember correctly it was a weekend release and i was going to the football. I wouldn't buy every SOTD either only certain issues. I'm not sure but won't the SOTD be the lowest mintage single sovereign release for this year ,surely can't be a bad thing in the long run 🤔....I think they're difficult coins to gauge on the secondary market as I just don't seem to see them for sale 🤷♂️
@@RayLacks The 50 Mexican peso has more ounces of gold than your standard one ounce gold coin making it cost more it's not a high premium coin it's a really nice coin to have in your collection
In America I am, I want 1oz gold what would be my best option for getting just around spot. I don't want high premium product I just want a good coin that I can add to my gold. Like I wouldn't mind it being scratched or what not.
Both lovely coins but I actually prefer the lustre of the BU one. It's just more pleasing to the eye ☺
Some love the proof, some love the matt finish. Its a coin toss for me (pardon the pun!)
Yes just a little jealous that its a fine looking matt finish five piece and i don't have one, actually both coins are stunning. Thanks for sharing !
They are lovely, sorry for showing them but glad you enjoyed!
I have ordered also one. Looking forward to it
Awesome to hear!
I’d keep both, indeed now am interested. My Royal mint exposure is currently limited to Queens Beasts of all years and weights. 👍
Thanks for your thoughts!

I love your Love Hate relationship with the Royal Mint. Lovely coin!! Have a great weekend BYB.
This is a good day, its a good coin!

Yale of Beaufort just came out on royal mints website the other day I think. But I agree, the rollout is not great for Tudor beasts.
It is the coin of the year in my opinion. Beasts will be a sleeper series.

Wow, I've bought some double 2022 bullion sovereigns to go with my 2002 doubles and proof doubles, your quint would have made a superb centerpiece.
Very nice!
@@BackyardBullion I'm cheating, I use a 2013 thin britannia and pretend it's a quint sovereign.

They are so nice, now would be the time to get it though - they are only going to continue rising in my opinion
My BU quintuple has to go back...a break in the matte finish on the lions leg. 🤦♂️
Sorry to hear it!
Have left the Royal mint due to QC and them raising prices for coins moving back to bullion but have the 4 coin set in proof so happy 😊
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I think there is still some room for growth on these.
I'd love to hear you're thoughts on strike on the day sovereigns, I've got a few and love the matt finish 😍
Generally not a fan, but for the 2022 platinum jubilee I got one because it is quite the occasion.

Lordy I wish I had your patience. They are lovely coins, like all sovereigns. Your logic does have a certain actuarial feel so it must be sound!?
Thanks!
With such a great display standing and protection why they make 22 carat gold and not 24?
Because traditionally the sovereign was a circulation coin and those needed to be more hard wearing, hence 22ct
@@BackyardBullion Thanks.
Stunning, but I still think the Britannia is better looking.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
super nice coin! question why is the mexican gold coin sooo much more then rest?
It is 1.205 oz of gold, so it is bigger.
are you asking about the 50 dollar gold Mexican peso?
@@mykittenisagrandmaster4381 yes

The highest value, initial cost, coins tend to do better in the long run. They have the lowest mintages.
So I’m just going to come out and say it - you must have a lot of money with the amount of PM you buy! 😂
I mean look, we have savings, people have savings. We put it into coins.
@@BackyardBullion I’m joking with you mate - your strategy and approach is sound. No offence intended. We’re all in sane community 👍🏻
Hands up !!! It's a hold up , give me all your bullion coins and fast , ja ja ja ja ja
Nice
Thanks!
both are very nice
Glad to hear you think so!

Check out JM. They have a one time spot deal on 1oz gold bar.
Yeah, you can't go far wrong with them
@@BackyardBullion thanks. And I love your vids I've been watching every day after work.
Wow dude
Thanks!
How do you find all these coins?
If you watch to the second half of the video I explain 😃
Just watching now lol
Ffs 🤦♂️ you literally say the very same question I just asked. I’ll go home now 👍🏻
Told you!
