Thanks Becki!! The tip about not being afraid of putting furniture in the middle of larger rooms was really helpful! It's easy to put stuff in a room and call it a day, but it's actually hard to make everything look good and work together haha

All black and grey's are the colours of my interior because of Backi and Chris' channel. We couldn't be more happier with the result. If you have a modern or industrial house it should work. Thanks for a great post!!!

We have so much trouble visualising what we want as the final product. It took us forever to decide on paint colours when we were renovating our house!
Couple of weeks back I asked you about dry walls, and I could finally understand what it is and used dry walls to make a false ceiling to add some ceiling lights and accent lights to it. Also, this video will be very helpful as I would be setting up my new room in due course of time. Thank you.

Like I said these are my favorite lately, mainly because I want to design my own studio. It makes sense to create a nice space that inspires me or that lights up my mood. Since it is where I spend most of my days

I love design and room design. It’s my favorite thing to do. Your channel has been a blessing for me :) I think if you have a small room, the more of the floor you cover with things like lamps, it can make the room feel smaller. Making good use of lighting by mounting them on the wall, or in the ceiling, can make a big difference . at least that’s been my experience.
I'm sadly far away from having my own apartment to decorate, but I still love watching your interior design videos! ❤ You make everything about it seem much less daunting 🥰

My day job is renovations and some good advice is to sketch stuff out, on paper, on the wall or floor, wherever. Take time to actually imagine the room. If you plan to paint anyway a few pencil lines can be invaluable.
This is pretty much perfectly timed! I just got under contract on a house a few days ago, and I'm so looking forward to planning out all these spaces, remodels, and design choices. Never done any of that before, and you guys are definitely going to be a major source of inspiration.

At the start I thought you said "wrap you head around your neck," hmmm? But went back and you actually said "wrap your head around your next."
This is such a well thought out and explained approach to putting a room together. Even I got it. And I really like shopping your house. I've done that without thinking, probably mostly to get some familiar things into a newly designed room (and save a few bucks).

Bruh, this is EXCELLENT timing. Also, this is the only time when size matters lol
Also, textures! For example, if adding a single item of wood, not only does the color stand out but the texture might as well (especially with raw wood). So incorporating the right set of textures into a room is just as important as color matching, I feel.
Also a really weird but interesting place to get ideas for furniture/storage placement is going to malls (if you can), sometimes the way they display their products gives a great example of how to utilize them while looking nice :)

Great tips Becki! The hardest part of design for me is getting on the same page as my wife. It takes us months to find a piece we both like… then the process start for the next piece of furniture lol

Becki, what is the mood board app you are using? (Was it Millanote?)
I used the shelf styling video and made my own video citing your video as the source and amazingly it's remained pretty much as it was when I designed it - except for a couple of palm lights that seem to having taken up residence, but that was clearly a useful video!

Having camera gear on shelves, wont it collect dust ? The biggest problem I have with my room today is dust. I clean today, a day or two later dust again pop up on tables, shelves, electronics, etc. Do you have any tips for it ?
