Nasi katok literally translates to 'knock rice'. Back then, nasi katok was sold at home. Customers would knock on the door or window to buy hence the name.
9:24 i believed the one you ate is the one without filling, try the one with chicken or beef or prawn next time, for sure you will love it, even i love it with fillings😂 thanks for coming to Brunei and have a safe journey🙏

Hi... Welcome to brunei...did you guys already try our local dish"Ambuyat"?
Yes! Video 1 :)
For breakfast try Jing chew they have the best roti and mee
Tried it (our first video on Brunei) it was amazing and we talk about the bread there on a daily basis!
Is this a reupload? I couldve sworn i just watched this last night 😆😆
Yes it is! It didn’t fully upload last time so I had to re do it! Thanks for rewatching lol 😂
Sticky rice known as kelupis if im not wrong try pulut pangang even oily but yummy hahaha
Just to add. The plain kelupis is usually eaten with jam or kaya. Some kelupis have fillings for example crushed fried prawns.
its call 'kelupis'
Those sticky rice things are underwhelming because there’s hardly any filling in it. They did ya wrong
No one does me wrong and gets away with it! 😂😂
The plain ones are supposed to be dipped in jam or kaya. I guess they did not explain to them how it is eaten.
