Hey GS! Just a tip, I noticed you perform WAY better when you talk through your maneuvers as you perform them and tell us exactly what you’re doing and why. As a flight instructor, I always teach my students to talk through their maneuvers. Talking helps you prevent mistakes and in your case, win the fight.
Bottom line: Keep talking, even when it feels like you’re talking too much. More is better! Keep up the great work.

@@Markymark09 Pilatus makes the PC's in Switzerland, the Shorts company made them in the UK. Same basic design ancestry, different aircraft types. The A29 is just the latest addition to the family of aircraft, beginning with the Brazilian design. The real aircraft have design changes from the original,eg. different tails,wings, engines and fuselage length.

Oh man, that would be cool. Even if it turned out to be an uneven fight either way, it would be hella interesting to see.
It`s certainly faster, but I`m not sure if it can out turn them, might do well against a Bf109, but against a Spitfire?
@@Khomuna it's definitely not faster, it's only as fast as early war fighters. It would probably lose against an early Spitfire of Bf-109, and it would definitely get destroyed by late war models.
Even if it somehow manages to get on their 6, it's only armament without pods is two puny .50 cals, if you want more firepower you need pods, which drastically hurt top speeds and overall just damage every single performance metric.
It's a great and beautiful aircraft but definitely no dogfighter
This what I would imagine two mercenary companies running CAS for rival countries would look like if they were to get into a dogfight

That first round is among my favorite fights I’ve seen in your videos. It has a cinematic feel to it, with both opponents changing positions on each others’ six throughout the fight, complete with bright tracer rounds narrowly missing as each opponent desperately jinks to avoid getting hit. An engaging, suspenseful fight in which I found myself changing my mind multiple times as to who might win.
Tucano is the name of the A-29’s predecessor, the T-27, that is a trainer for the Brazilian Air Force Academy.

Yep. Doesn't fit the game overall quality at all. The hud and canopy reflections are no bueno as well.
It's a mod guys, the creators have done a lot of work to get to this point, and honestly these are just minor things that don't even take away from the experience.

The tucano would probably lose against most ww2 fighters built after 1941, a Spitfire would out turn it and has a much better armament for dogfighting but then again, it's a light attack aircraft and not built for dogfighting aha

Love to see A-29 vs. P-51 That would be a great simulation of New vs. old
The P-51 have the advantage. The A-29 is a ground attacker. The P-51 have more climb speed, top speed and maneuverability. And more weapons too, since the A-29 have just 2 .50. If you exclude missiles. The A-29 can shoot AA missiles.
@@brunoks6951 p51 have more power and weight, so it can boom and zoom. Super tucano is like a mitsubishi zero. We all know who won in that enviroment.

Prop dogfights are so rewarding to watch! Old school WW2 style dogfighting. It's all about skill and the pilots ability to master the aircraft and not just computers alone. Nice!

@@raulzilla Yeah, it's a COIN plane, not a dogfighter. Though, our A-29s can be armed with Sidewinders, too, so, I guess it can shoot down slow jets, too. Maybe forcing the enemy into a turnfight, getting on his 6 and launching one off the rails.

Yes it may seem the mb339 has the advantage, but no the super Tucano can carry 2 aim 9 sidewinders and the mb 339 cannot.
The mb339 is extremely slow and is only a trainer. It's hard to get above 300kts in it.

Fun thing is these are both free mods with actual modules in development. I'll probably end up getting them both because the Macci is just a joy to fly, even in FS2020 and the Tucano would be great for COIN flavoured stuff which I really enjoy doing.
In fact they'd both work well with a couple scout helicopters walking them onto targets.

The MB-339 is not the only light attack aircraft that had experienced combat. The F/A-50 Fighting Eagle light fighter/attack aircraft experienced combat in the Battle of Marawi in the Philippines in 2016. The Philippine Air Force's A29B might experienced combat in a couple of years after our pilots finished training with it due to insurgency still being active especially in the southern part of my country.
I've read about the Super Tucano (floated as a close air support aircraft when the Warthog was rumored to be cancelled).

Got a ov-10 Bronco? That was the plane that was originally used as a propeller coin acrft and later considered for the light attack experimental.

the argentine training plane IA-64 "Pampa" is based on the MB-339 Aermacchi, the Tucano was used for training in Argentina too
