    I enjoyed your tour and everything you are making! I loved your idea for the prayer squares. I followed Shabby Fabrics idea and it was tough turning them. I'm sure your son's congregation will appreciate them!

    Thank you so much for your wonderful videos. Would you be able to do a video how you stitch your grandma’s flower garden pieces together. I do English Paper piecing with the paper backing but I’m interested in using the stamp. I think it would save a lot of time not having to cut out the paper backing. Thank you in advance

      Thank you Mary! I will do a video to show how I stitch the flowers together. I can tell you now that I stitch in pairs the six inner hexies
      and then stitch each pair to the center hexie. Then stitch in pairs the 12 hexies and then stitch each pair to the row of the six hexies. This probably sounds confusing but I will show in video.

    Have a great time at retreat! I’ve only done Grandmothers Flower Garden quilt using the papers and basted around them, I think the stamps would be a good way to create the flowers. I’m going to have to investigate this. Your sewing set up is so pretty and coordinated, very appealing and fun to stitch at.

    Have a fun time stitching at your retreat. With your rubber stamp for the he is you just hand stitch and no required paper inside the hexi?

    • @pigtailquiltingstitching5635
      @pigtailquiltingstitching5635  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Annette,
      Yes, using the stamp you then hand stitch the hexies. No paper piecing. You sew pairs of the outer flower together and then sew each pair to the center.

      @@pigtailquiltingstitching5635 is your stamp the 2 inch stamp that allows for stamping it on a jelly roll strip! You said the new acrylic stamp by Kate is like what you used for your quilt but your new acrylic stamp is for a 1 inch Hexie. I want to place the hexies on a 8 inch background and then sash it like you did.

    Hi Susan, Love your Valor quilt and such a beautiful set up for your retreat . Just wondering how you store your floss. I'm just starting to cross stitch and wondering about storing bins and what method do you use ?

    • @pigtailquiltingstitching5635
      @pigtailquiltingstitching5635  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you Diana, I started cross stitching during Covid so I am a beginner too.
      I did a previous video about how I store my stitching supplies. I showed a closet with 2 small sets of drawers from Hobby Lobby.
      I recently ordered some empty wooden spools to use for my floss
      When I kit up my floss I use the wooden spools and write the floss number in pencil on the end of the wooden spool. That way I can erase and use again for another project.

    My quilt group does QOV also and it is amazing to present them to our Vets, especially Vietnam Vets. So worth the time. ????? so you do not use paper pieces in your hexes? Love the stamp. Hugs

    • @pigtailquiltingstitching5635
      @pigtailquiltingstitching5635  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Kathie, thank you. With the stamp method you don’t need the papers.
      You just hand sew in pairs and then sew the pairs ti the center hexie. It really works really well.
