There’s also something inherently wrong with the phrase “be mentally prepared when meeting her” it feels like everyone has forgotten that U DONT KNOW SOMEONE UNTIL U MEET THEM. If u allow others to skew ur perception of ppl then that says more about u than them, the underlying acceptance u take from that advice is evidence enough that no matter what the person is actually like, u have already decided that ur not gonna like them bcuz of preconceived notions, which is quite frankly, childish but I digress. I mean having a bad day or been irritated doesn’t give you the right to verbally abuse your staff for 20 minutes. Seriously, in what context been abusive can be justified just bc we’re human?
@@starcraft5331 we know, the stylist talked about the situation, Irene admitted everything and apologized. Great video! I’m totally willing to admit that Irene may have spoken harshly but I am baffled with how people seized on one person’s account to paint her as the worst person ever. I am in a field that is super hierarchical, more than entertainment, to the extent that your career can be ended until the day you finally finish training. There is a lot of sympathy and support for trainees and people who are lower on the totem pole who claim to have been mistreated. But God, if I copy pasted what Kang Kook Hwa wrote on to a forum for my profession, I would’ve been roundly questioned about the details and no one would automatically say that my superior was wrong. There are always two sides to every story and we got almost no details. Anyway, she and KKH totally resolved the situation and it’s been years and many people who work with her absolutely adore her and defended her so I’m quite tired of the way she’s been misrepresented. She’s imperfect but I believe that on the whole, she is a good person who didn’t receive the disproportionate witch hunt and (ironically) abuse/attacks that she got.
Well done. I love to see it being done this way. Many people just present the style’s sides and never point out that no one knows what actually happened. Thank you for being respectful even though I’m sure you have opinions. Thank you for put bias aside. As a fan for Irene it makes it easier for me to educate people on what happened. This is how it should be done every time. 👏🏻 thank you , genuinely 🙇🏼♀️
she got a little mad at someone over someone not doing their job properly. Someone who is not in the public eyes so if things go wrong Irene or her members' reputation might be tarnished. And she apologized more than twice but do we know if the stylist had said or even felt sorry for what she did? Instead she went ahead and destroyed her career like how is that even fair? You can't just do anything and hope the goody idols to be nice about it. If anything, it just shows how easy it is for people to destroy the careers of these girls
Irene obviously had lots of training in acting and moving gracefully, you can tell she tries to be conservative and ladylike when the other members cut loose and act crazy. She's had training in manners and people mistake that for being a b*tch.
Yelling at a stylist just once, and it’s their first time working together, yet the stylist was prepared to record the convo? That’s intrusion of privacy and how come knets didn’t say anything about it? Who the hell brings a secret recorder to work and record someone they are working with for the first time? It’s like she is prepared for something to happen or maybe she made things happen to trigger Irene. And how does just one isolate incident make a person link to galpji ? This doesn’t make sense at all. Just one day u got intentionally triggered and u lost it,then u are cancelled zzz
@@evamakri9694 esp like it’s a “ one day “ job. And their previous work project was fine, but the stylist had forgotten about it, which means that was like her “first “ time meeting her and then she came so prepared to “kill “ her.
@@evamakri9694 and she may definitely have the recording of Irene yelling at her for sure. But , she may not record what actually caused this incident to even arise, she would have just recorded the part then Irene went crazy . And how would Irene even defend herself…
Somebody who is genuinely able to laugh so wholeheartedly like Irene can only be a true soul - there is no way of debating this - it is easy to defame a person and is usually done by people of low nature - it has become a sport - it is as if there are just too many people who are actually nothing and think they can tighten themselves by falling over others - if you don't find beauty in yourself you are not going to make yourself look better by trying to smear others - Irene and Red Velvet have done what we have wanted then to do - entertain us - and they did it beautifully - so stop it, stop looking for dirt -
I think people just wanna tag her as mean when she is kind of like Wonyoung that wants everything to be efficient but will also take no shit and will set boundaries to prevent her and her members from being exploited.
Should NEVER appologize to the "public"... IF there was an issue it's ONLY between the people involved. The fact the the so called 15yr "veteran stylist" went public with it, is frankly a form of blackmail and/or an attempt to cancel someone they didn't like. Sometimes Idols have a "bad day". They are People and HUMAN. IF that was even what happened, as it could have simply been an issue/disagreement with that one particular person as to what she wanted done. I.E. if a customer asked a stylist for something to be done a certian way, but the stylist did something different... there Should and Will be problems.
Thank you for this thoughtful video. I'm Twice as old as most people commenting here. From what I've researched ... It seems the Stylist was incompetent and got dressed down for it. Too bad, suck it up and do a better Job for the customer next time, rather than whine. Irene may have been snippy - but she has the right to insist that the people actually touching her face be of the highest quality as Irene is a very exacting, and meticulous person ... as she should be. It's part of job to look perfect. In the USA the stylist would have Not gotten an apology, it was Nice of Irene to do it.
the otherside to the story was that, that stylist is incompetent... if she styled Mariah Carey or Beyonce, do you think she would still be a stylist today? I dont think so...
Some accusations on celebrities ( like Ellen Degeneres) seem legit, but this one doesn't. The stylist goes to work, makes a mistake, gets yelled at so much "for the first time in her life" and "starts crying" but has the composure to grab the recorder and record the incident? Besides, stress-shouting is a staple if you are a high pressure gig.
Honestly some people just need to stop being so fucking sensitive. Like what do you expect Irene is a human she’s not a machine. She’s bound to get angry and we honestly don’t even know if it’s true or not because the whole story wasn’t released. I’m sure that stylist has gotten angry before and snapped. Doesn’t mean you can try to ruin someone’s career over it. She apologized. That should have been the end of that ordeal. But no people had to blow it way out of proportion. Now she’s even quieter and doesn’t go out as much. Like wtf is wrong with the world.
Just one question. How long are the haters going to beat this dead horse issue? Her fans understand what having a bad day can do to you. And if the haters lives ever came under the scrutiny of millions of people every day. I wonder how they would fare in a situation like this even after you posted a public apology. Oh well opinions vary and we are all entitled to ours.
Such a scam! I really feel she got intentionally lead in to potray such anger, and then record it to use it against her. Someone must be so damn jealous of her achievements and want her down so badly
People seems to dismiss the scandal, yes she is human, everyone has a bad day, we know… but that don’t give you the right to verbally abuse your staff over 20 minutes until the point they cry. Like come on, she already had a reputation on been “difficult” with her staff, and even Belle Shao, really big name in China fashion industry, has spoken about working with her and how she feel sorry for the Korean staff that had to worked every day with her and her bad attitude……. I hope she really had change, i actually don’t hold anything against her, she didn’t personally hurt me and she already apologized to the people she hurt. Years had pass so it’s ok to move on I guess, but it’s not like we should dismiss abusive behavior and make excuses, like she’s humans but her employees too
@@lampsphere1530 pleaseeee that info it’s not confirm at all!! A clear example of how fans can’t admit when and idols do something wrong, they just invent excuses 😂 and believe me, I’d read everything related to the scandal so seeing that kind of lies… it’s a little bit funny.
Belle Shao is kinda known in the China weibo industry not just as someone with a big fashion name (she actually doesn't have much followers at all and the only reason why her post abt irene gained traction is because she deliberately went into the tags mentioning irene's name to post about it LOL literally her post has #IRENE道歉 on it, which she definitely knew stans were camping in esp since she posted after irene apologised--in weibo when you make a post that has a hashtag right in front like hers did, that means you actually went INTO the hashtag itself and posted in the front page forum there deliberately lol not that you tagged it subconsciously), but she's also known to jump on idols that she doesn't like lmaoooo (as mentioned back then by other cfans from other chinese artists unrelated to irene when her fans were trying to determine the validity of her statements) in fact they worked with irene only once and back in 2016. there was no specific issue mentioned, just that belle shao kept baiting the fans by saying omg if i say it it will be too much and the end of ur unnie's career. she's known to do this amongst a lot of other cfans lol esp for clout and attention. hell, even the fashion magazines credit her but despite that never tag her official weibo despite her having it for years lol. in fact a lot of cfans take belle shao's words with a HUGE pinch of salt. in fact now she's pretty much faded back into silent obscurity.
@@veach737 i don’t know how her “followers” had something do to with her influence in the fashion business, she already had worked with much more important people than Irene lmao no need for her to lie, even if she just wanted attention
@@Mm29051 its nothing to do with her followers lol its more of the fact that she's kinda known to do these things, and other fans from other fandoms of other chinese artists actually advised in taking her words with a pinch of salt due to prior experiences. but up to you i guess. plus, she was definitely not following rv or any of rv's tags (you can see that in her weibo), but deliberately went into a tag where irene's stans were to make a post after her apology to add fuel to the fire. so compared to the first stylist who accused irene i'd be less inclined to believe belle shao because all these are also signs of how usual cnetz/ xyh and popular pple trying to stir things up even more do--going into a already somewhat settled controversy to stir up more trouble/anger/rage /fight back from fans. its a regular tactic in the chinese weibo soc med, but something u probably wouldn't know since i doubt you hardly went into weibo yourself or have an account. weibo/chinese soc med has fanwars and fights like these every other day and is extremely toxic, so the reason why pple take her words with a pinch of salt is because even pple with accolades and some name like her do the same thing on REGULAR, if they want to purposely cause trouble for some other artists that they don't like etc. they simply throw accusations without proof, saying that i'll never say what happened etc so that the rumour gets spread bigger and bigger. its basically twitter but 1000 times worse lol. not that this invalidates what the first stylist said abt irene or anything but usually any sign of some controversy of the artist esp in china, you look at their baidu bar first rather than other supposed "accounts" that suddenly speak up or throw accusations, regardless of their name, fame or anything. because in china their baidu bar is the biggest n also the ones most closely working WITH the artist and the company. this is also why when lucas' controversy came out it was set in stone and completely tanked because--his baidu fanstation / his main fanstation in china completely closed down. usually these chinese fanstations are also sasaengs, so they know a lot of things abt the artists compared to most of others who claim they do, so their words are more of a holy grail than that of others because of how intrusive they are into the artist's lives. till now, irene's main chinese baidu bar is still supporting her, and they were the ones that actually advised in fans not engaging with belle shao, because belle shao was replying to every single angry fan against her words with even more infuriating challenges and mockery, which again, is another common thing that those that wish to cause fanwars or problems do.
If you like Irene just like no need to justify if she mean or not. Just like the mean girl that's okay . In a industry with 1000s of people there are some divas
@@tomandjerry2568 The stylist worked with her prior and she previously had said she was lovey to work with. Then she came out with the cryptic message. I understand you are a fan. I was living in Korea during this, you should probably tell the story a little more. It was multiple people on both sides that had negative and positive to say. Exactly!!
I mean having a bad day or been irritated doesn’t give you the right to verbally abuse your staff for 20 minutes. Seriously, in what context been abusive can be justified just bc we’re human?
@@Mm29051 we can't just make assumptions
Bcz we were not there with them with the situation happened
And we never knew what happened at that place.
@@starcraft5331 we know, the stylist talked about the situation, Irene admitted everything and apologized. No matter what could happened, that doesn’t mean you can’t verbally abuse your employees, under any circumstance. Fr just tell me in what circumstances you would think the abuse could be dismissed. Or in what circumstances what the stylist experience wasn’t abuse?
@@Mm29051 the stylist never said that Irene verbally abused her 20 minutes long. She just stated they were together for 20 minutes... The thing is the stylist never said what Irene actually said. So we can't really judge if it was really abuse, complaining or just an argument
This is so well said !!
I love Irene
Thank you!

she got a little mad at someone over someone not doing their job properly.
Yes I agree. If there was a recorder present, then obviously the action was premeditated.

Because you are a parasocial weirdo who ignore peoples wrongs
Somebody who is genuinely able to laugh so wholeheartedly like Irene can only be a true soul - there is no way of debating this - it is easy to defame a person and is usually done by people of low nature - it has become a sport - it is as if there are just too many people who are actually nothing and think they can tighten themselves by falling over others - if you don't find beauty in yourself you are not going to make yourself look better by trying to smear others - Irene and Red Velvet have done what we have wanted then to do - entertain us - and they did it beautifully - so stop it, stop looking for dirt -

Years had pass so it’s ok to move on I guess, but it’s not like we should dismiss abusive behavior and make excuses, like she’s humans but her employees too
You do know that the reason she shouted at the staff was because she ask them not to give them too sexy outfits and the staff still did.
