    When I googled, how to make my fpv drone float, I was like, “well, no one will have done this!!” Very impressive! I will be doing it at some point as I live in a very popular kite surfing spot, and would like to capture it with less risk! Just hope it doesn’t get stuck in a tree!! Hahaha

      Thanks! You can build it without the arm bands and it will still float happy filming

    Awesome video my brother👍🏼👍🏼 I kinda wanted to see you swim in the lake to go get it. But never want you to fail. Lol. Sucks about the camera the first time. The mipi cable suck when it don’t have the coating at the end. Mine is the same way. I don’t think the newer cables are like that. Congratulations on the end disarm test. Love that view at the end Bro 🙏🏼 I always like 👍🏼

    I wonder if turtle mode would be effective if the quad was to end up upside down in the water ? Would love to see

      The way its designed it self rights everytime no turtle node needed 👍

    Great tut. Pissed to hear about the first camera, tho. How's the water proofing been holding up and, more importantly, has it been handling the heat well? You kept mentioning that during your build and that's something a long term test would show. BTW L&S

    • @Stevieboyfpv
      @Stevieboyfpv  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I've had no problems but apart from demonstrations of it floating and taking off for people and flying it in the rain im never intentionally dunking it. For me it was the confidence to fly in the surf filming without worrying about one slip or splash being the end of the drone.

      @@StevieboyfpvGood to hear. And since you didn't mention it, I guess you didn't have any issues with the camera overheating either. BTW did you wash the drone out with fresh water after that initial test run? Or was it no issues at all with salt water after all that waterproofing?

    Hi Stevieboy,
    Super cool build, I need something similar so thx for the great video !!!
    I was wondering, I noticed you don't use any race wire pcb's to protect the wires from prop strikes on the arms of the drone.
    I'm currently in my first build and Race Wire PCB are included with my Stack.
    Can you recommend them or just don't bother with them?
    Cheers

      They are totally worth using 👍

    • @Stevieboyfpv
      @Stevieboyfpv  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      In this build I knew I would put the floating on so I didn't need any in my armattan badger freestyle build youl see I use a different form of protection and in others I use led race wires 👍

    One last question sos Stevieboy 🙏, if I choose the Speedybee F7 v3 50a , not sure if you’ve seen the design there are slashes for I guess heat dispersion . If you were me would you remove before waterproofing or try fill Cavity’s with worry free ?
    Also not sure if Bluetooth would work once covered worry free

    • @Stevieboyfpv
      @Stevieboyfpv  ปีที่แล้ว

      Without it in my hands its hard to say if the heat shield removes id maybe go that way, you have to be sure you get a perfect seal or its game over, at the same time its completely possible to make it work without removing the shield .
      Tough in the moment call I think good luck!

    Hello mate do you suggest not getting 6s flight stack with heat shields ? Was going to choose Mamba F7 22 M4 65A

    • @Stevieboyfpv
      @Stevieboyfpv  ปีที่แล้ว

      Use what ever flight stacks you have your most knowledge on or preference.
      Personally I do not get on with mamba stacks I have my best results and longevity with iflight stacks and geprc aio's

    • @Stevieboyfpv
      @Stevieboyfpv  ปีที่แล้ว

      Pretty sure mine is a 150mm you should be good to go! 👍 the back end doesn't actually submerge, only on heavy landing for a split second or being rolled over on the waves untill it self rights again. Good luck with your build!
