    This video only scratches the surface. And if you watch the play for his 10th assist you'd see it was clearly an assist. Which makes me think the "other" NBA official was hating on Hakeem.

    Shout out to MaalDweb, the Hakeem Olajuwon highlight/90's highlight KING! Most of this footage looks like it came from him, great video putting this together, I hope to see more about Hakeem's career.

    Anyone who has seen this video and still say Hakeem Olajuwon is not the GOAT Center is just plain hating, period.

      Kareem Wilt Russell Hakeem Shaq David Robinson Tim Duncan Kevin Garnett all have good cases.. obviously Duncan can be outlawed cuz he spent a good portion as a "PF" at 7 feet 🐾 so what's the difference if you still play like the tallest player on the court and man the paint defensively ? IDK. Ask the GODS. U can disqualify KG cuz he was also a SF and PF alot more than he was Center but the man was 7 feet and FAST so I mean he could play defense inside and outside so if he isn't a Center he is better than a Center just by being a versatile long 7 feet basketball player.
      But if you disqualify KG. I keep Moses Malone as a trump card. Moses was once best center in the NBA with Hakeem, Kareem, Parish, Walton, Gilmore, Ewing were in the league. Moses Malone is Maybe the best 80s Center if you penalize Kareem for Magic 🪄 Johnson being his teammate and him being a pick ur spots defender in the 80s. Or if you penalize Parish for being the 2nd 3rd or 4th best Celtic in the 80s. Or if you penalize Hakeem for only playing half the 80s decade, Moses is the most consistently dominant Center of the NBA from 79-89 in totality and on average.
      Hakeem is amazing.

      Oh and my favorite Center of the 80s and 90s Center Tree 🌴🎄 is Patrick Ewing and until Hakeem won championships in 94 and 95 vs Barkley, K. Malone, Ewing, Robinson and Shaq it wasn't completely obvious Olajuwon was the best center of his era. If Ewing wins the 94 Finals and he was close. Super freagin' close ! Then he'd have a case for that era like he did before that era was closed out and these all timers' stories had been written with ending yet.

      @@alecsanderhamilton9224 Wrong, 100% wrong! The commentators were already calling Olajuwon the best center in the league by the 86' playoffs. Every center you just named got completely dominated by Olajuwon in the WCF and Finals, old Olajuwon gave Garnett and Duncan the business in his late 30's, and Wilt and Russell combined don't have all of Olajuwon's abilities and skills. Not to mention as a center, Olajuwon was recording between 100-213 steals a season for his first 12 seasons, I won't even mention him recording 219-376 blocks a season, cuz that's just so impressive, it'll end this conversation immediately.

      @@alecsanderhamilton9224 only player in history to record 200+ steals and 200+ blocks in the same season, only player in history to win MVP, DPOY, Finals MVP, all NBA first team, all defensive first team and the ring in the same season. Olajuwon had 2 quadruple doubles in 1 month in 1990, he's the all time leader in 5 for 5's, the only player to win a ring with zero all stars, zero all NBA teammates, zero all defensive teammates, and no HOF head coach at the time. He led the only ever #6 seed to a ring, the only team to beat four 57-62 win teams in a post season, and he's the only player in NBA history to retire top 10 all time in points, rebounds, blocks, FG %, and STEALS!

    He's very underrated! So unfair

    • @Brirend
      @Brirend ปีที่แล้ว

      He was underrated because he never had the players around him to make sustained runs at a championship.
      He is the only player to have back to back championships where he was the only all-star on the team.
      That last championship where they came into the playoffs as the six seed happened through his sheer force of will. The NBA did Houston a favor when they presented David Robinson the league MVP before the start of the Western Conference finals. After that Hakeem played like a man possessed.
