Looks like a pretty solid mod buddy 👌 the clips are so much handier to me than running through a belt. I think the more you use it, the happier you'll be that you did it 👍
I’ve been thinking of getting the occidental 5589 pouch and having 2 clips added onto it probably about 1-2” away on either side. I was wondering what your opinion on that would be? I just got a mp2x it’s nice, I just really like leather. Seems like all of the 100% leather holsters are designed for a belt only, I might try it and see what I think but I just wanted your opinion on that
That 5589 is the OG belt pouch! All my old journeymen ran that setup when I was coming up as an apprentice. It’s a solid pouch if you’re doing new construction everyday, I almost bought but I went with a greenlee 0258-11 belt pouch(due to pricing) with the occidental 3” leather belt and a lefty pouch similar to the 5590. Loved it, anything occidental makes is great, sorry for delayed response. Hope this helps!⚡️👍
@@steven78952 well I don’t think clip on pouches should be this big cuz it defeats the purpose. You start to overload it to the point where you’ll need a an actual tool belt. I’m going to revert it back and get the whole set up

I suggest a grove life belt been wearing one daily for many years it's flexible yet stiff. I hang 5lbs of mp2x off my grovelife belt and it does fine. Also check out cabnetmakers sidekick or noholster for your impact or powered screwdriver. Don't be scared of the price they do go on sale often and no the knockoffs are not the same (they even have a batman logo one!). If you used even remotely long bits on the holder up top they would stab your love handles so it's not much of a loss. I still think you could have saved a 100 bucks and done that work yourself with some quality azon clips in bulk and Chicago screws (less than 25 in materials). That goes a little ways in rhe tool budget for more tools 😆.
I checked the screws out and they def would have done the job but I’d still need the sewing done. I have something similar to the cabinetmaker side kick actually. Thanks for commenting👍⚡️
The metal buckle on the back is to attach there slanted hammer sleeve and offhand bag it's for a cats paw.
