Many will overlook this: this is a true chef. Explanation of techniques and where each ingredient needs to be. The combination. And, yes, if you’re not accustomed to honey, it is much like wine. Different honeys have unique characteristics. Well done to translate this. Chef, I salute you!
You can see the effortless touch and experience of this chef. Wonderful dish. Such a breath of fresh air compared to these younger chefs who "deconstruct" everything into oblivion .

Really liking these Italian videos showing the behind the scenes step by step recipes of true masters of their craft...can't help find it amusing when they say a bit of olive oil and in goes 1/5 a bottle 😋
A good advertisement for why wireless lavalier microphones are helpful in noisy environments Had to cut it short but the dish looks great. Love the chef and how he makes sure the translation was accurate.
This dish is originally Persian and Romans took (stole) the recipe during the Roman Sassanid wars! What the good chef doesn’t realize is the he is missing two very important ingredients (spices) Safran and just a touch of Turmeric! And for you Frenchies, no it’s not ratatouille! So stop it!
@ 😂 you must be joking, the Persian cuisine has at least 2500 years of history behind it, America has been around how long? Also, all the spices Persians were using thousand of years ago, including turmeric, Indias didn’t even know what spices were! Please don’t embarrass yourself with ignorant comments like this!
@ wrong my friend! There are Persian poems and literature from about 1900 years ago specifically referencing tomatoes (goje in Persian/farsi)! One famous story/poem is “Shirin and Farhad” which is the kind of the original Romeo and Juliet where it is clearly mentioned that Shirin’s (the Juliet of the story) favorite dish is lamb kabob with grilled goje (tomato’s)
@@pnayeri I have no clue about Persian literature, but this likely refers to a similar fruit or is an addition to a much older story after tomatoes were introduced to Asia. If you look up the history of tomatoes, there is no speculation about their origin or when they were brought to Europe and Asia. This should definitely not diminish anything about Persian cuisine-I absolutely love it! However, in my opinion, the term "stolen" is problematic when describing how cuisines influence each other and incorporate new ingredients like tomatoes.
So lovely to see food prepared in a very clean kitchen by a master chef.

He will find out that Gordon is a TV show guy but not a chef!!!

And Persians stole turmeric from Indians and copied from Americans. Today with AI everything is a copy, no original cuisine.

Tomatoes were brought from south America to Europe/Asia in the 16th century.
So Persians couldn‘t have used them either… 🤷♂️

Minced wagyu beef tendon meat is the key to this dish
HUH?..... It's vegetables.
Nonsense 😅
Nah, that's nasty. Those ingredients don't go with a red sauce unless it's a soup.
Overcooked
Some poor tourist probably paid an arm and a leg for some fried eggplant with olives, capers and onions.😢😢
Nobody twisted his arm to go and eat there…… but I’m sure the hypotetical tourist would not regret it anyway….
They're eating the cats 😨
