Love really simple SSL.... makes it real easy! Once in a while I will find a url hard coded into my CSS that I will have to change manually, but REALLY SIMPLE SSL handles the rest!

In fact I did this today 11/24/2018, and it worked like a charm. I didn't need to add, or install anything else, besides the Really Simple SSL plug-in. My websites started showing https right after the installation. Thanks a lot for the info, ride on!!!

1-HTTP Strict Transport Security is not enabled (premium)
2-warning Secure cookie settings not enabled (premium)
3-warning No mixed content scan performed (premium)

Yes this is a perfect solution if you don't want to pay for an SSL certificate, and easier ways to do this will definitely be coming out this year.
Hostgator ssl was free for me so no problems there -
This simple video did the trick for me, downloaded it followed the steps and that was it really.

Brunson says use cloudflare. Most of his clickfunnel customers use it. Point the domain servers there. Its free and is a full ssl allowing stripe direct usage.

i dont understand why people talk down about hostgator i never had an issue with them. i got my ssl certificate installed with the help of this video with no problem.
Are you monitoring the uptime of your website? I have a video on that if you're not. My guess is that you are not monitoring the uptime because earlier this month they had about 48 hours of downtime. But you wouldn't know that unless you were monitoring the uptime. Also are you monitoring the speed of your website?
i do monitor time to time, but how ever every hosting company have flaws and down time here and there, nothing is perfect just saying.... have a nice day man
The only way to know your websites uptime is to use a service like uptime robot, which is free, that will check your website every five minutes to make sure it's online. The issue of speed, is even more crucial. If your website takes more than a few seconds to load people are not going to stay on it to see the content and they're going to leave. This leads to a high bounce rate which Google is aware of and will devalue your website.

Also, wanted to ask, our hosting system provides only 2 free ssl certificates. Do you know how to get and install one for free? It looks fairly complicated in other videos. And we use 1and1 hosting system and not cpanel which is the most common in youtube videos.

It's actually *VERY* easy to create your own certificate using lets encrypt, so even if your host does want money, just do it yourself.
Yes indeed. However not all hosts support it yet. Hopefully that will change soon.

I got this message: "SSL activated! Don't forget to change your settings in Google Analytics en Webmaster tools. More info." It says "en Webmaster tools" to clarify it is not my spelling.

It's essentially letting you know that if you are using either of those tools that you have to go into those tools and change the URL because you just went from HTTP to HTTPS. Those are considered different URLs.

Great videos! Have watched a bunch in past few days! If you see this... This all worked great EXCEPT I'm getting the triangle on every page with images. I've tried keeping the default settings and changing the 'Switch mixed content fixer hook' option. Still getting it. Do you know how to fix? Is it a plugin issue not working? How do I secure my images so I can have the green lock on every page?

That is interesting. I know that Google Webmaster tools will be able to tell that you have added a security certificate and not require you to change anything. What I would do is in a day or so take a look at Google analytics and see if it is still tracking your traffic.
