Like your videos, especially steppo . His knowledge on comics and history in general is impressive. Alan your low key and just nice guy persona make this channel one of the best. Keep up the good work. All the best this upcoming year. Thanks
Enjoyed seeing your Christmas gifts; and sorry you were tired when you visited the KSC; I love that place. Your B roll was fun; I appreciate the neatness and glass cases of that store you went to. For the place with the "best comic collection ever", all those boxes stacked in that building reminded me of Matt's boxes in his background. 😉
Thanks for sharing holiday gifts and videos of LCS. We flew out westcoast during Christmas too this year, and lugging vintage comics and collectible finds back home is logistically difficult. Especially if "valuable" items must be carry-on luggage. 😂 Any random gifts can be checked in, but you still have to consider airline weight restrictions. 😣 Happy 2025 Alan!
Darkside is a good comic store. Wish they would use a different method for putting the new books out. Just increases the chance of a spine bending with the current shelving. Overall it is good. We need more stores in the area.
I am starting to buy modern books now too as so affordable mostly sci fi \ horror or fantasy lesbian are interesting to me most are disappointing but snap them up now before the price spikes in 20 plus years after I am gone now 63 and my nieces and nephews will love to take over this stash. By the way you were cute as a boy but I looked like Rambo jr at 6 years old buzz hair cut and then Frankenstein jr but 1972 like Ernie Dougles non stunt double who spilled his beverage glass and had to drink water lol. 1969.
Sounds like you had a very special Christmas! My very elderly father (90s) spends five months of the year living down in Destin, Florida (believe it or not he actually drives down from Ottawa in mid-November and drives back at the end of March.) By the way, were you afraid of getting lost when searching in that warehouse?
Amazing Shop and Incredible to see the DTA compound !
That Knotts book is very cool, they are a staple out here and their history has always been something I enjoyed, glad your vacation went well!

It sounds like your wife has the patience of a saint. 😂

When you stop by San Diego, I’ll take you to some beautiful comic shops
Is Dave Alexander the owner of DTA?
yes, i wanted to interview him but he was shy about being on camera.
