      Getting stabbed through the spine, heart, and/or lungs is pretty fatale if you don't get immediate medical attention. Getting hit in the intestines, kidney, or any other non immediate essential organs that are immediately cauterized is not a huge deal.

    The map doesn't lead them specifically to Thrawn; it leads them to the planet where the whales migrate to in the other galaxy, which is apparently a very special place. They're going to use the map because it has the best chance of leading them to Thrawn considering what happens in the end of Rebels (yes no spoilers lol).

      WHY do SO MANY PEOPLE think that’s what it means! It makes no sense! If your friend Tim lives in Fresno, and you pull up an old highway map from the 80s that shows you how to get from where you are to Fresno, draw the path, and hand it to your other friend Bob, and say, “Here’s the map to Tim,” Bob would NOT ask you how a map made in the 80s could possibly know where Tim is. It’s a map to a location that Tim happens to be at! Because of course it is! Why are so many people acting like this is weird! 😅

      @@pwnorbepwned Because these are people who have probably never seen a map, never used a map nor have any concept of how to do so. These are folks who have relied on the voice of their GSP telling them how to get from point A to point B their entire lives and would be unable to do so any other way. I've drawn maps to locations on paper including street names, landmarks and arrows and they were completely baffled by the hand-drawn map looking at me as if I was from Mars as they hand me their phone asking me to show them on their phone. Hahaha, I take a picture of the hand-drawn map. Give them back their phone and ask it that's better, lol.

    The map will absolutely make sense by the end, as will the dude who exploded into smoke. The important part isn't that he exploded into smoke but how Shin reacted to it. I won't spoil it, but I will say that Morgan Elspeth gave you a huge clue in an earlier episode.

      I mean the map already makes sense. It's a map of starwhale migration patterns from someone that studied starwhales, because starwhales were apparently used to navigate hyperspace lanes in the early days of space travel. Pretty sure all that's said in the show in like the first two or three episodes.

    Fun fact about German dub: They try to use the same voice for the same character. In that case: Ahsoka, Sabine, Ezra, Anakin, Thrawn, Rex, Obi-Wan are the same voices as in all previous productions (the prequels, Rebels and Clone Wars) (sadly not Hera in this case).

    The map is basically a map of Purgill traveling patterns. There's more to it because it is also the map to the ancient homeworld of the Nightsisters, which was touched on in this episode but becomes more apparent in coming episodes.

"I won't fight you father" Ahsoka "I won't fight you" Anakin "I've heard that before" and him not knowing the siege of Mandalor ... most people think he's become the father ... the balance between the light and dark ... he was anakin the whole time switching between the two

    The Starmap makes a lot more sense as this show progresses. The Dathomir probably created it in order to get to this Galaxy.

    It's Spaaaaacccceeee magic!!!!!!!!!
    Ahsoka was in combat with Baylon Skoll, just had close contact with a map ball that was filled with Noghtsister magic, thought Sabine was dead, aggresively through Shin Hati against a rock, went over a cliff which then casued a jedi meidtation trance. No one knows where the doors to the World Between Worlds are or exactly how to open them - but apparently some combination in those events did. And this WBW doesn't act exactly like the one in Rebels did.

    Take a look at those columns in the:"stonehenge" on Setos - each one was probably intended for a map to a different galaxy. This particluar map is where Morgan belives Thrawn is located - if Thrawn is there so is Ezra - and it's also tied to the purrgill migration. The system/planetary names on the map in the end credits is translatable (see New Rockstars).

    Have a look at the Dark Empire comics from back in the 1990s, you'll see the inspiration for those fighter craft that Sabine ducked under and dodged, the E-Wing snubfighter.
    38:19 The _Eye of Sion_ is named after Darth Sion, a Sith Lord and one of the Sith Triumvirate from ancient times, whose body was in constant threat of falling apart and his agony literally caused the Force to hold his body together. You have actually a less 3d version of the map in every episode of the show thus far. It's the end credits. The map shows you the migratory path of the purgill starting from arcana and ending in peridea. Their are technically many points on the map but almost all of them are very important locations in Star wars like mandalore, currescant, correlia, and of course lothal. But it's obvious they didn't end up in any of those locations so it has to be the one place on the map that would make it make sense for them to be gone for 10 years with no trace. The one location that just happens to be in another galaxy. Remember we have hyperspace thanks to the purgill so the early maps followed purgill migration paths. It would also explains why lothal has one of the few calendar systems in Star wars. Alone side bby/aby, c.r.c. , and the russan reformation calendar. Oh she there is also the naboo calendar. Point is it's actually the second oldest system to keep track of years in Star wars. And so it makes sense it would be from a planet along the oldest galactic highway that everyone has some forgotten about expect. But that would have absolutely known known and recorded by those alive back then like the Jedi and nightsisters

    Unlike the weird map to Luke and that atrocious macguffin of a dagger, this map actually does have a purpose in the lore and I'm glad that they do a much better job of explaining it. Star Wars is definitely too obsessed with maps at the moment though.
    As for Marrok, there's definitely a lot of wasted potential there, however the smoke does seem to have a purpose. You've probably made the connection after finishing the show but for anyone who hasn't, I'll try to keep it just to what people were thinking at the time of this episode's release. It has been revealed that Morgan is a decedent of the Dathomiri Night Sisters and we've seen her use that same magic already. The smoke that exploded from the suit was green and accompanied by a scream that seemed very reminiscent of the undead Night Sisters we saw when Grievous attacked Dathomir. There could be a connection there.
    Absolutely loved both your reactions to the World Between Worlds. Nerdy's genuine surprise and excitement contrasted by Clarus's utter confusion was a joy to behold.

    I'm enjoying this reaction. :) I suspect the many cuts during the saber shots is, at least in part, due to the fact that none of the actors have any real fencing training (unlike Basil Rathbone and Tyron Power in The Mark of Zorro for example). There is a limited number of choreography moves they can remember before shooting each specific scene. At least this is what makes sense to me.
    BTW, the plural of Purrgil is Purrgil, not Purrgils (a small knit - LOL!!). Great Job!! Looking forward to Part 2!!

    1:18:53 the map orb shows a charted pathway to another galaxy through observing Purrgils migration paths, this is even stated by Huyang in the episode, logically, knowing what we know from end of Rebels, following where Purrgils travel will lead you to where Thrawn is.

    30:26 Baylan is a dark Jedi who follows the dark side of the force but doesn’t follow Sith or inquisitor teachings like Asajj Ventress. Kylo Ren could’ve been considered a dark Jedi also because Snoke was not a Sith Lord. Baylan is interesting cause what he believes. He likes some of the Jedi teachings but not all of it. He also doesn’t crave power like Sith do. He seems to be looking for true balance of the force. 1:16:49 you’ll find out about the map either in the episode 6 or 7 if I’m remembering right. There is a reason there’s a map.

    Star Map: I guess the star map exists because of the night sisters, which used that intergalactic travel path for another reason, which will be revealed in a later episode.

    That map was made by the Nightsisters thousands of years before thrawn/erza disappeared ... like others have said it follows the migration patterns of purrgil ... so naturally because of how erza and thrawn disappeared ... you would want to use that ...

    I do not think the actors just looked at a blue screen when they filmed the space battle, I think they saw something relatively close to what they would see if it was real.
    They use StageCraft also called the volume to protect the environment on video walls in all of the new Star Wars shows. It uses an Unreal game engine to render the environment life from the perspective of the camera. You can see shadows of the ship move on the actors and the ship's internals when they maneuver around. The simple way to accomplish that is the StageCraft and render what the outside would look like with a sun to provide illumination. The ships are 3D models so just include them because that makes it a lot simpler for the actors to look in the right direction.
    If you compare this combat with Episode 4 you will notice the back then the ships when we see them from the inside mostly just tilt a bit, Darth Vader does roll in this fighter but quite slowly compared to the space combat in Ashoka. Physical lamps are a lot harder to move around than a sun on a video wall
    The hyperspace scenes from the cockpit might be exactly what the camera captures on set. Even Huyang was realy there, the is behind the scenes shot of him as a practical animatronic. Hera's hologram would be added later but the rest might be exactly what the camera captured and the actors would have seen.
    StageCraft is one of the reasons the Star Wars TV show can look so good on a TV budget. search for Stagecraft on TH-cam and look at how it was used primarily on the Mandalorian to project 3D environment with actors and props in it that the camera then captures for the show.

    The exploding smoke thing is a PG rated tribute to old samurai movies, where two samurai would trade attacks, then after a pause, one has a shower of blood explode from them. This is that, but with smoke instead of blood.

    • @SigTheSauceMan
      @SigTheSauceMan 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That shot was actually a malfunction. I forget the name of the movie, but in it, the guy who gets cut gets slashed, pauses, then the blood pump malfunctions and sprays ALL of it at once. Everyone else momentarily has a shocked reaction, but keeps it together, and the slashed guy just... goes with it and slowly falls.

    E1: Fallen jedi are a thing and they do not all become sith or inquisitors.
    E2 Yes, Huyang is the GOAT. We need a droid episode with him, Chopper, and AP1.
    No, you do not need the force to use a lightsaber, not even to use it well, but it certainly makes it so much more easy..
    E3: in Filoni we trust. Everything EU/Legends that has not been explicitly and specifically contradicted. Remains available on the table and in the pool to be used, in part or in full.
    This point in the saga is exactly where Heir to the Empire would fall (SHE SAID THE THING.... for a reason)
    They are totally trolling us with a force ghost Anakin in the WbW with both of those lightsabers on his hip, yes.
    🙏SHE SAID THE THING! 🙏
    Heir to the Empire is coming!!
    The Eye of Sion may be fast, but we have seen that effect before. Don't you remember when Hera jumped through a hanger Bay of a station into hyperspace?
    Phoenix squadron got treated just like the unsecured cargo
    By the hyperspace wake.
    You also saw what happened to the inquisitor Marrok in the TOTJ episode where she killed the other inquisitor.
    Here is my tinfoil hat theory:
    The Henge is related to stargate technology.... 7 coordinates to navigate inside a Galaxy, 8 coordinates to travel to the next Galaxy, 9 Coordinates to travel thru time.
    The death star ruins dagger map is ten thousand percent stupid.... Somebody who was working too long on the Pirates of the Caribbean scripts was led into a Star Wars room unsupervised.
    They did just say in the episode that they were tracking the migratory pathsof the Purgill, That is what the map shows.... including their intergalactic route.

    When Ahsoka is in space on the ship, she has magnetic boots, which is how she is able to stay stabilized and reattach to the wing. 🎉

    • @nickcharles1284
      @nickcharles1284 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That isn't how physics works. Once she jumps, in space she just keeps going in the direction of the initial inertia: there is no gravity to complete the 'curved' jump she performs; to draw her back to the ship. She would just fly off into space. This fact is of course the least stupid thing about this scene.

    • @BassGilles
      @BassGilles 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@nickcharles1284 not speaking on the physics of the scene other than when her boots make physical contact with the metal outside of the ship, that is how she just walks out on the wing and how when the wing comes back around while she is floating in space she is able to run down the wing into the ship

    • @nickcharles1284

    • @nickcharles1284
      @nickcharles1284 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yessss. that is what is depicted. Refer again to my original post: once she shoved off, she (according to physics) should have just kept going on that trajectory, out into space. NOT curve back to the ship. There is no return thrust. And the gravity boots are not strong enough to do it. If they were that strong, she could not have jumped away in the first place. @@BassGilles

    I think that Marrok(sp?) was part red herring and part Nightsister magic. The smoke was green, and as shown in clone wars and here with Morgan, nightsister magic is green. Resurrected spirit of nightbrother or inquisitor? Who knows, but that's my theory. It would have to have been Morgan.

    Wow i think don't that Ahsoka feels disconnected is the perfect description for her. Because i think that is exactly what she wants. She is almost desperately trying to avoid connection or to use a more Jedi term to avoid attachment. But i also feel like she has been failing at that bit also in the worst way possible. It was like you said in episode 1 with her first conversation with Sabine. The conversation felt like something so probably weren't meant to see like this was something deeply personal between them. You don't know what their relationship was like but you can feel the weight of its passing on them. So Ahsoka wants to disconnect but she is still end up being friendly toward Hera and she nearly kills Shin for "killing" Sabine

    marrok was reanimated inquisitor risen by nightsister magic, about the map u will see in the future episodes and it has connection to the star whales , world beetwen world is a place where u have the smaller portals when u can see other events from past future and possibly alternate realities , anakin became force ghost and used to oppurtinity of ahsoka's near death experience to pull her to this world to teach her a lesson that u will see in future episode. About the deaging him it looks far better in the next episodes and they didn't deage him in kenobi coz for cost reasons.

    Which is crazy because Baylan and Shin seem to come off more as a stronger and better connected relationship than the main characters. Idk but yes I just feel like they don’t have much respect or love for one another and Im not sure if the audience is supposed to feel that way about them.
