I've never really liked the ATV matchup, mostly because of high knockback AOEs and the unblockable grab, as well as Velk feeling very mobile. I am in awe of this run though. All the small punishes before and inbetween attacks really make use of Velk just being kinda slow and Lance just being kinda fast, I love it. Very good knowledge of what attacks to block and what to evade. Thank you for the analysis in the description as well. I don't think I'll sink much more time into World at this point but if I do, ATV is definitely on my git gud list
Amazing run Yanxi! Love the vibes and music as always. Lance heroic runs are always so terrifying to watch due to the chip damage, I can barely make it out alive whenever I use the lance with Zone whenever we hunt this thing lol. What impresses me the most throughout this run, is the fact that you managed to complete all of this in high heels!!! Respect.

I have nowhere near the amount of monster variety as you, but I learned from your Lunastra video the importance of counting hits during a topple. I actually pulled off the count during the topple at 3:56 and the flinch right after thanks to your detailed explanation in the Lunastra video 🤓

I didn't realize how nail-biting it can get for Lance Heroic runs since the remaining 1-inch health bar still takes damage with each Power Guard. Love the butt-clenching evade lance moments at 2:18 & 2:33. And how you handled the tail stabs at 3:19 & 3:44 got me smiling wide. I adore your Holiday Outfit! Bravo! As for chip damage, the whole Heroics endeavor becomes a lot more accessible once you realize which attacks will cause chip damage, and which ones won't. In particular, *Small knockbacks* inflict 0.0% chip damage, and Velkhana inflicts a lot of Small knockbacks against the Lance even with Guard 1. Knowing this, one can safely block a majority of Velkhana's attacks with absolute certainty that they wouldn't take chip damage. The secret is memorizing which attacks inflict a Small knockback and blocking those; then memorizing which attacks inflict a Medium or Large knockback, and then hopping through those! Lance and Velkhana feel like a really good matchup. Gonna use lance now everytime against her instead of longsword! So fun with lance

AT Velkhana is prolly my fav match up with Lance. Feels like I'm dancing with him, a lot of back and forth matching the rhythm

How did you change direction after counter at 1:09? Did you power guard really fast?

if you power guard and then input direction + circle, the poke will be directed to where you input your direction even if its 180°
How do you do those quick 180s to hit the head?
as i remember, you can use normal shield defense to make any quick turn
If you powerguard and get hit, you can power thrust in any direction with circle and the control stick
by power guarding.
