Big Basin Storm Update

Despite the two and a half years that have passed since the CZU fire, Big Basin is still deep in its recovery efforts to reopen for the public. The recent storms in January 2020 contributed to existing damage in the park and many trees, already weakened by fire, have fallen making vehicle and pedestrian access to many areas of the park unsafe and inaccessible.
We're doing all that we can to restore and preserve the natural, cultural, and historic resources of Big Basin Redwood State Park and are doing our due diligence to ensure that we can reopen as soon as possible.
