    I just bought this set and as I was looking at it and I tried to get the bit out of that attachment and I kept scratching my head wondering what in the world this doesn't make sense and before I grabbed my pliers I went to TH-cam and found this video. Sure enough that is definitely an epic fail for Milwaukee

      Joe, at first I thought it was just me not doing it right, but as you experienced this is not the way it should work. Fortunately I have several other bit attachments from DeWalt and Ryobi that work correctly. Thank you for sharing your experience.

      Same here. Don't like how difficult it is to remove. Thank goodness mine was on sale or I would be taking this back.

    Great review of the Milwaukee impact driver set. I have the same issue with the magnetic bit holder. I can't get the bit out either. The Milwaukee tool design engineers failed with that piece. I would love to see any Milwaukee executive try to take the bit out on camera!

      There are excellent German products, but unfortunately most of them are of average quality. Today only Americans think that German products are the best in the world.

      @@tamasfarkas7970 I have come to understand you can buy junk anywhere in the world, even in the USA. A country of manufacture does not always equate to a given quality. It really depends on what the brand specifies for materials, workmanship and quality control. Thank you for sharing your view.

    Thank you for this helpful video! Thought I was losing my mind with that magnetic bit holder. Once I grabbed the pliers I knew it was a poor design. A few times I was able to get it out by hand.

    I personally bought the Milwaukee Tool Driver Bit Set (42-Piece)
    Model # 48-32-1554 and it’s great for the m12 impact driver I have this was one of them I was personally looking to buy.

      I like the kit except for the stubborn extension, but swapping out with another brand extension solved the issue.

  • @gershonodze4703
    @gershonodze4703 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    My theory is that with PH2 being so popular, you want something that won't easily stay behind in the screw but you still have the option to switch out if you use something else more frequently. The kit also includes adapters which release more easily. I therefore think this is intentionally tight.

    • @cfldriven
      @cfldriven  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Gershon, your theory sounds plausible, but I think most would prefer to easily swap their bits on the magnetic holder without the need for two pliers. In my kit I substituted another magnetic holder with a less aggressive hold. Thank for taking the time to watch and share.

      I have seen the Makita XPS holder holding the small bits too tight as well, I bought a separate automatic holder which works fantastic.

    • @evgenitantikov5865
      @evgenitantikov5865 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It's intentional. Since the tips have tight fit with the screws, the bit will stuck in the screw very often and that will double your work at the job site. This extension solves the problem.

    All you got to do is take that little ring out of the bit extension and then the bits will be alot easy to swap out

    Do you not slide the holder back and just pull the bit out?

    • @cfldriven
      @cfldriven  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The bit is held in by spring that just won't let go. I even tried removing the spring but was unable to grab it with a pick. Lucky I have several others that work correctly. Thanks for the suggestion.

    try using a piece of rubber like shelf liner to grip bit, unless urs holds more than mine

      Gary, thank you for the idea. I have all but given up on it since I have plenty of replacements in my collection. I will give it a try with the grippy bottle opener and see if that works.

    I’m sorry brother you just gotta pull on it you’re not going to break it. The best way to do it it to pull but and wiggle it and it’ll come right out. I also don’t treat it like a baby lol

    I don't buy Milwaukee bit kits any longer because they make it impossible to take out their bits from the case and magnetic extension holders.

    • @cfldriven
      @cfldriven  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      While I don't like bits flying all over the inside of the case, I agree with you that some are more difficult to extract from the case holder and their magnetic extension holder is worthless. The Dewalt case has similar issues with the bits although their magnetic holder works as intended.

      A quick Google search show a price of $31.03 on 08/25/23 at Home Depot. I tend avoid mentioning prices as they tend to change with time.
