Here is mine: 1. Wrath child 2. Aces high 3. 2 minutes to midnight 4. Bring your daughter to the slaughter 5. The prisoner 6. Be quick or be dead 7. Afraid to shoot strangers 8. Number of the beast 9. Fear of the dark 10. Powerslave 11. Alexander the Great 12. Rime of the ancient mariner 13. Phantom of the opera 14.Hallowed be thy name 15.Wasted years 16 iron maiden 17. The trooper 18.Run to the hills
My personal Setlist prediction for this tour: Intro: Transylvania (50 Years Montage video) 1. Be Quick Or Be Dead 2. Wrathchild 3. 2 Minutes To Midnight 4. Remember Tomorrow 5. Killers 6. Bring Your Daughter To The Slaughter 7. Rime of the Ancient Mariner 8. Phantom of The Opera 9. Run To The Hills 10. The Number of The Beast 11. Fear of The Dark 12. Iron Maiden - 13. Moonchild 14. The Trooper 14. Hallowed Be Thy Name 15. Sanctuary (with Paul Dianno)* Paul Dianne shared the Tour announcement on Facebook which is leading me to believe that he's going to join them onstage for Sanctuary in London
I think that's really close to what they will play. But I think no remember tomorrow. From here to eternity will follow Be quick or be dead and it will end with running free rather than sanctuary.
I don't understand why Maiden stays away from A Matter of Life and Death. Believe it or not, that album got me hooked on Maiden in the first place. I remember my Dad showing me the Reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg, and I fell in love. To this day, it's Up The Irons all day!!
It's generally my favorite Maiden album. I would pay just to hear The Legacy live. I have a feeling that this tour may get a part 2 that's X Factor to Senjutsu. Which would include some Matter of life and death. We'll see though.
Yeah it's not weak though, its one of their finest, it's.just amazing songs and epic songs writing, Might not be your favourite but lots love it, Powerslave is my top choice but life.and death is awesome
1. Back in the Village 2. Flash of the Blade 3. The Duellists 4. Killers 5. Remember Tomorrow 6. From Here to Eternity 7. Bring Your Daughter the the Slaughter 8. Moonchild 9. The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner 10. Deja Vu 11. Losfer Words 12. Rime of the Ancient Mariner 13. Sun and Steel 14. To Tame a Land 15. Invaders 16. Gangland 17. Run to the Hills
Great list of deep cuts, but they're never going to play 5 songs from one album. The Loneliness Of The Long Distance Runner & Deja Vu will be too fast-paced for Nicko to keep up with while he's still recovering from his stroke. We can always dream, though!
I Think that Maiden will start the show with the oldie "The Ides Of March" Followed by an early song like Sancuary. I think that it will be a jukebox from songs very much played before. But they said we have some surprises; I hope for The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner and yes To Tame a Land would be great
Here is my prediction: 1. Wrathchild 2. Pantom of the Opera 3. Afraid to Shoot Strangers 4. Bring Your Daughter to the Slaughter 5. Powerslave 6. Murders in the Rue Morgue 7. Children of the Damned 8. Fear of the Dark 9. Moonchild 10 Revelations 11 Two Minutes to Midnight 12 Sun and Steel 13 Iron Maide -------------------- 14 Run to the Hills 15 Wasted Years 16 The Evil that Men Do Maybe switch Revelations and Evil.
From the Piece of Mind I think they might bring back the Revelations, because it’s a certain crowd pleaser when the audience can sing along so to speak , with the Heys between the bass riffs, I’m sure you know which parts I mean .And from the Somewhere in Time I would love to hear the Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner. And also for the Fear of the Dark-From Here to Eternity would be so great to hear live as well.
the most important factor in the song selection will be whether nicko can play the respective song at all. many of them fall away because they are simply too fast from the 16th note movements. on the current tour, which nicko is doing at his best due to his brain stroke, you can see how reduced he has to play. so at the end, i expect a setlist that won't be too complex and fast. which i would also be happy with :)
Cool setlist, My prediction 1. Murders in the rue morgue (also a classic opener that hasn't been played since 2005) 2. The trooper 3. Still Life (also a fan favoriete song that hasn't been played since 1988, it can be that Maiden will play one of their live favorites of piece of mind and that is die with your Boots on) 4. Afraid to shoot strangers ( they will play 2 songs from fear of the dark) 5. Killers (we see Eddie with the axe in the promo) 6. Rime of the ancient mariner (Bruce wants it back and because it takes over 13 minutes it will be the only song from powerslave, we had the 2 singles on Legacy of the beast tour and the title track on Book of souls tour, so now it is mariners turn) 7. Wasted years (the only SiT song since they play many songs from that album during the current future past tour, the lyrics fit a 50th anniversity well) 8. Phantom of the opera (we hear it in the promo) 9. The number of the beast 10. Infinite dreams (fans do request this song and indeed it was planned in 2013 for the Maiden England tour) 11. Fear of the dark (for change I hope it will not be the song just before iron maiden) 12. Bring your daughter to the slaughter (I agree at least one song from the No Prayer album will be played, and this one was a big hit in the UK, but maybe we get Tailgunner, the first line in the song is "trace your way back 50 years ...") 13. Hallowed be thy name 14. Iron Maiden ‐------------------------------------------ 15. Only the good die young (Harris said he would like to play this song live once, it would be a great surprise as encore opener) 16. Run to the Hills 17. Running free (we see the streets of the single in the promo, and who knows Paul Di Anno comes on stage to sing along, there are rumors ...) I know 17 songs is maybe one song to much, so maybe they will not play only the good die young and start the encores with bring your daughter.
I think that setlist is both realistic and fun. I've read about Only The Good Die Young. I'll be happily wrong about my setlist if it played. But I'm not holding my breath for it
1. Prowler 2. Bring me your daughter 3. Wrathchild 4. Afraid to shoot strangers 5. Wasting love 6. Infinite Dreams 7. To tame a Land 8. Rime of the ancient mariner Killers .Hallowed be thy name Phantom of the opera Run to the hills Running free
Here is my take: (tape intro) The ides of march Wrathchild Phantom of the opera The trooper Killers Revelations Wasting love Run to the hills Rime of the ancient mariner Wasted years Frome here to eternity Hallowed be thy name Bring your daughter... To the slaughter Fear of the dark Iron maiden Encore: Tailgunner The clairvoyant Running free
My personal prediction 1 - be quick or be dead 2 - wrathchild 3 - 2 minutes to midnight 4 - infinte dreams 5 - killers 6 - total eclipse 7 - the trooper 8 - phantom of the opera 9 - bring Your Daughter to the slaughter 10 - hallowed Be Thy Name 11- number of the beast 12 - fear of the dark 13 - iron maiden Encore 14 - tailgunner 15 - running free 16 - run to the hills
It's such an unimaginative name for a tour, I wonder (semi-seriously) if they're planning to play all the songs with 'run' in the title from the albums in question. Running Free, Run To The Hills, Loneliness Of The Long Distance Runner and Run Silent, Run Deep. Maybe Phantom Of The Opera, with its Daley Thompson connection.
The Loneliness Of The Long Distance Runner is way too fast-paced for Nicko to keep up while still recovering from his stroke. I also don't think they named the tour that because they plan on playing all their songs with "Run" in the title which would be very goofy
It would be goofy indeed! But the tour name is particularly uninspired. Apart from being a lyrical quote (and something of a cliched phrase), it doesn’t seem to connect to anything.
My guess is 1- Be quick or be dead 2- Phantom of the Opera 3- 2 minutes to midnight 4- Wrathchild / Murders in the rue morgue 5- Children of the Damned / 22 acacia avenue 6- Revelations / Die with your boots on 7- The evil that men do 8- Bring your daughter to the slaughter 9- Deja Vu / loneliness of the long distance runner 10- Moonchild 11- Killers / Running free 12- Rime of the ancient mariner 13- The trooper 14- Run to the hills 15- Fear of the dark
1. Murders in the Rue Morgue 2. Wrathchild 3. Run to the Hills 4. Infinite Dreams 5. Seventh Son of a Seventh Son 6. The Trooper 7. Sun and Steel 8. Rime of the Ancient Mariner 9. Bring your Daughter…To the Slaughter 10. Phantom of the Opera 11. Alexander the Great 12. Fear of the Dark 13. Iron Maiden Encore 14. The Number of the Beast 15. The Clairvoyant 16. Running Free Other possible songs: Still Life, Only the Good Die Young, To Tame a Land and 22 Acacia Avenue.
I don't think they would. They did it back in the flight 666 tour and I think it would be too much for the setlist as powerslave woldn't be the greatest focus
Not sure about that. I think in regards to priority it would probably go in the middle. I think it will be more important that No Prayer or Somewhere in Time. Like its not getting 4 or 5 songs in the set. But I think we getting more than just 2 minutes to midnight or Aces High
So our dream are coming through. Bruce recently said what song he want to play, and he aswered rime of the ancient mariner. To me, the best song of all time.
I am one of said young fans wanting to hear rime of the ancient mariner, I've been blessed to see maiden 4 times (every tour since book of souls when I was 9) but that's the one I wanna hear, along with phantom of the opera so... this speculation is getting me incredibly excited 😅
Sun and Steel, Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner, Dualist/Flash of the Blade would all be great to hear. Have heard all the songs on the predicated setlist numerous times and hope they add at least one rare one.
1, super cool, 2, it's tricky. I think a lot of the hard core fans want rarities and odd ball songs. But they will need to play more hits on this tour. Not to say no rarities will be played. Also Infinite Dreams and To Tame A Land have been out of the set so long they are rarities
I agree with your picks but my dream setlist would be; Note: If it wasn't their first nine albums and any from Iron Maiden - Senjutsu my list would be; (In no particular order) 1. Satellite 15 the Final Frontier 2. The Longest Day 3. Speed of light 4. The Talisman 5. Sign of the Cross 6. Como Estais Amigos 7. The Trooper 8. Stratego 9. Dance of Death 10. Rainmaker 11. The Clansman 12. Wicker Man 13. Iron Maiden Encore: 1. Empire of the Clouds 2. Where Eagles Dare 3. Run to the Hills.
Here is what I predict: Intro: The Ides of March 1. Wrathchild 2 Tailgunner 3. 2 Minutes to Midnight 4. Revelations 5. Phantom of the Opera 6. Infinite Dreams 7. Afraid to Shoot Strangers 8. The Trooper 9. Bring Your Daughter... 10. The Evil That Men 11. Fear of the Dark 12. The Number of the Beast 13. Iron Maiden Encore: 14. Churchills Speech/Aces High 15. Wasted Years (16. Running Free or Sanctuary) Not sure about this one 16 (17 if they play Running Free or Sanctuary) Run to the Hills 🤘
I'm pretty sure they will start with Aces High, or they will start the encore set with Aces High. You can see the same hole on Eddie's forehead above the right eye as you can see in the Aces High single cover. I doubt that's an accident in the poster art. I would love to see Be Quick or Be Dead though! Also what's up with the Japanese looking building on the poster? Sun and Steel perhaps? That would be a real deep cut for sure.
Fair enough about Aces High! As for the building. My theory. If you think back to the Legacy of the Beast tour. All of the tour art had the church. And for every new tour year, the church was more beaten and broken down. To the point it was falling into a pit of lava. So I think the building in the back represents the Senjutsu era being left behind as Maiden moves forward. Adding to that the explosion behind Eddie adding to it being done and over. I've heard some other people say a similar theory. I heard it mentioned on Cap'n Harris channel. But, just a theory
Hey mate! Goddamn I was watching your video and treating your predictions like the real thing and I got chills 😂 this setlist would be genuinely amazing. I did a quick video on my reaction to the tour and I very quick setlist prediction and now I’m so excited to see what it’ll be! Great video mate 🤘🏻
I think they also have to take their age into account. I saw Maiden in Sydney a couple of weeks ago and Nicko struggled a bit with the technical parts due to his stroke. So I'd love to hear songs like Where Eagles Dare and Phantom Of The Opera, but I just worry Nicko might not be able to manage it
@@metalheadcarshow I'm afraid a lot of songs are unlikely because of this. Nicko a few years ago would hit the drums about twice as many times as today. Particularly he seem to struggle with the more upbeat ones. Really hope he's up for Phantom tho.
Actually my only concern with this tour is how Nicko is gonna perform. Some of the old songs need a more dynamic and complex approach than the simplified drumming that he's doing now. I wonder if he can recover more of his mobility untill then. The majority of the Future Past tour is working but, for instance, the opening fill on The Trooper is as important as any riff and he's not being able to do it ...I'm afraid that playing more older songs might bring up more limitations. Anyway I'm rooting for Nicko, I already have my ticket for the Lisboa show and I'm sure I'll have a great time anyway.
This is a concern a lot of people have, and all we can do is wait and see. He knew starting the Future Past Tour he wasn't running at 100%. But he seems better now than he was then. And we know he's going to try everything he can to improve for next year. So we'll just have to wait and see.
@@metalheadcarshow Indeed. Anyway I'm on the "A 75% Nicko is better than no Nick at all" team :) I would love to hear some of the older songs played at full capacity and I'm indeed worried that he might not be capable ... but still It's Maiden and Nicko , so let's have it !
How cool would it be to start the set with the first song on IM, Prowler and end the set with the last song on Fear of the Dark being the title track. Also they've played Sanctuary a lot as an encore. I feel confident that will be in there.
I already put this up with another video, but it belongs more with this video; My prediction/proposal for a setlist: - Aces High - Killers - Be Quick or Be Dead - Bring Your Daughter to the Slaughter - The Clairvoyant - Revelations - Murders in the Rue Morgue - The Number of the Beast - The Evil That Men Do - Die With Your Boots On - Deja-Vu - Phantom of the Opera - 2 Minutes to Midnight - Fear of the Dark - Rime of the Ancient Mariner - The Trooper - Iron Maiden Encores: - Run to the Hills - Running Free - Hallowed be Thy Name Plenty of classics, a couple of tracks they haven't played in 20-30 years and one never played track (as I do think they'll be playing something from the Somewhere in Time album, but not a song they're playing on the current tour).
I see a lot of people mentioning Wrathchild. If so, then Wrathchild as second song and Killers moves to the Murders in the Rue Morgue spot and Murders is off the setlist.
Good setlist! I'm just going to give a few song predictions as I'm about to go to bed so I'll complete the list tomorrow but for now i think they'll include: 1) Prowler, first song from the first album. Feels like a good one to start with for a mile stone tour 2) Phantom of the Opera. My reasoning for this is a bit silly but it's been used in their instagram post promoting the tour so i guess we'll see 3) Run to the Hills, like you said, the lyrics are the tour name (the future past was/is played on the future past tour) 4) Infinite Dreams, this is one many people want to see and they haven't played it in a long time so here's hoping... 5) Deja Vu. This will seem like an odd choice I'm sure but my reasoning is that it's never been played live before and Steve Harris did an interview a few days ago hinting they will debut some songs live on this tour. And maybe I'm wrong on this but I also think it would make sense to give some love to songs from SWIT that are not being played on the current tour and this is one of them. 6) Rime of the ancient mariner. There was an interview with Bruce where he said he would want to play the Prisoner, stranger in a strange land and Mariner on tour again and well, they played the first two on the current tour, which just leaves Mariner among his personal wish list
Thanks! I've seen a lot of love for Prowler. Wouldn't mind being wrong that see that one make it onto the setlist. I would be surprised to see anything wacky come from Somewhere in Time for this one
my prediction: the first nine songs: one song from each album (reverse chronological order): 1. be quick or be dead 2. tailgunner 3. infinite dreams 4. heaven can wait / alexander the great 5. rime of the ancient mariner 6. revelations / to tame a land 7. the number of the beast 8. wrathchild 9. phantom of the opera then two further songs (one pre-dickinson-era, one first-dickinson-era): 10. killers 11. only the good die young then the known part : 12. fear of the dark 13. iron maiden encore: 14. the trooper 15. hallowed be thy name 16. run to the hills
Lots of rumours about Paul joining them in London in June 2026... sadly that's no longer possible RIP Paul. I wonder if they will weight the setlist towards Iron Maiden and Killers as a result? Maybe with Prowler, Running Free (which is short), Phantom and Iron Maiden?
As unfortunate as Paul's passing is. I don't think it will alter the setlist. And it's tricky. 9 albums to get through with likely still using the 100 minute time frame they like. I think it will be 3 songs off Iron Maiden max. Honestly. Playing Killers would be a tribute to Paul on a way. He wrote it. It's totally his song.
They have such an extensive list of great songs and so many that have rarely been played live, i just wish they would shelve songs that have been played on so many tours and surprise us, flash of the blade, sea of madness, charlotte the harlot, no prayer for the dying, children of the damned, murders in the rue mourge , the prophecy, etc. With that said if they actually play To Tame a Land and Killers, two of my absolute favorite songs, and Sea of Madness (its a longshot i know) then i dont care what the rest of the list is ,i would be ecstatic, i hope youre right with those two predictions
The tricky thing is, they did shelf a lot of regularly played songs on the future past tour. So a lot of them will likely be coming back for this tour. I also hope I'm right about To Tame A Land, Killers, Ancient Mariner. Never enough time to play them all
Not a bad set list I'd go if this was the actual setlist. I'd make a couple of changes though. I'd take out "To Tame s lamb and replace it with "The Trooper" it's song that's almost always played and I don't see them dropping it during a 50th anniversary tour. I'd also take out "Heaven can wait" since they are playing it on their current tour and replace it with "Powerslave" which hasn't been played since the Book of Souls tour.
I would want a somewhere in time song, but I wouldn't have those changes. Ya no Trooper and no The Evil That Men Do was probably a mistake for a setlist prediction video
I would love to see them open beast over Hammersmith style with a tape of ides of march into murders in the rue morgue but other opening options are wrathchild, aces high, moonchild or be quick or be dead. Closing song will probably be either iron maiden, hallowed be thy name, run to the hills or my personal pick of running free
Im a young listener, my firat maiden concert was days of future past and one of my favourite songs is rime of the ancient mariner, i hope they play it. When last tour dropped i learned all of senjistu album, and even tho its new i really like it, different from there others
My prediction (and wishlist) below: Prowler Wrathchild Killers 22 Acacia Avenue The Trooper Afraid to Shoot Strangers 2 Minutes to Midnight Powerslave Tailgunner The Loneliness of a Long Distance Runner Infinite Dreams Phantom of the Opera The Number of the Beast Fear of the Dark Wasted Years Murders in the Rue Morgue Hallowed Be Thy Name Run to the Hills Iron Maiden Running Free
To me they're not going to play Infinity dreams, since they wanted to play it for Maiden England but decided to remove it. Probably too challenging vocals. We also have to remember that Nicko is now limited, Be Quick Or Be Dead is probably too fast for him now
Fair points. I've thought about making a video on why Infinite Dreams was dropped. A thought was maybe it was one odd ball song too many. But that doesn't check out since they played Afraid to shoot strangers. Maybe it was too vocally demanding. But they played Aces High and Seventh Son. Now sure. As for Nicko, it will be interesting to see how he is next year with a bit more recovery time
My hopeful (yet delusional) setlist; 1. Ides of March/Wrathchild 2. 2 Minutes Till Midnight 3. The Trooper 4. Infinite Dreams 5. Revalations 6. Purgatory 7. Rime Of The Ancient Marnier 8. Phantom Of the Opera 9. Heaven Can Wait 10. No Prayer For the Dying 11. To Tame A Land 12. Total Eclipse 13. Only the Good die young 14. Fear of the Dark 15. Iron Maiden 16. Aces High 17. Hallowed be Thy Name 18. Run To The Hills A little on the long side, But i would love to see rime of the ancient mariner, To tame a land, purgatory, and/or total eclipse.
I wouldn't be too shocked if Total Eclipse is pulled out before they wrap it up. great set though. Only thing I would say is, I think Only The Good Die Young would make a great closing song
@@metalheadcarshow yeah i wasn’t really sure where to put only the good die young, just kinda threw it in to make the transition between total eclipse and fotd better
I don't think Nicko will be able to play Be Quick... after his stroke. My setlist plan: Intro "633 Squadron Theme" Tailgunner Wrathchild Killers 2 Minutes to Midnight Infinite Dreams Hallowed be thy Name The Trooper Afraid to Shoot Strangers Heaven Can Wait To Tame a Land The Number of the Beast Phantom of the Opera Fear of the Dark Iron Maiden Bring Your Daughter... Run to the Hills Running Free
I believe Nicko is going to keep working to try get back to what we could do. Age is a bitch though, I do think it maybe a tricky song at this point. Do like the setlist though, I always think seeing Hallowed be thy name somewhat earlier in the set is neat. I wouldn't count on 4 90s song though
@@metalheadcarshow As for Nicko, we hope for the best. I was inspired by the No Prayer tour and the Give me Ed tour, where Hallowed... was also in the first half of the show. The songs of the two 90s albums have been underrated in recent decades. That's why I thing they'll be play more than two songs from that period.
Really, any of these suggested setlists would be great. I'm okay with omitting a bigger song or two in favour of more rare treats. We'll get them back next time. I really do get the feeling that this is the beginning of Ed Force One coming in for a landing; the descent, if you will. Whether they circle a bit before touchdown remains to be seen.
Here's mine Doctor Doctor Transylvania *Lights go out and then Adrian comes out playing Prowler* (just like The Wickerman lol) 1. Prowler 2. Wrathchild 3. 2 Minutes to Midnight * Bruce's little chat about the tour and blah blah* 4. Infinite Dreams (i think this one is very possible since Nicko has been playing this song with Titanium Tart sooo... im very hopeful about this one) 5. Afraid to shoot strangers 6. The Trooper (i really miss Trooper in the main set, Bruce is already tired when they play it at the end of the set) 7.The Prisoner (They always grab something from the previous tour even tho it's not one of my faves, it works very well) 8. No prayer for the dying (i know, i know, it's just because i've been listening this song on loop over and over the last few days and thought it would be so good to see being played again, probably not but it's ok) 9. Heaven can wait (just like The Prisoner, it could be a recycled from the future past tour) "This is what not to do if a bird sh*ts on you" 10. The rime of the ancient mariner (i really hope they the rescue this one) 11. The Phantom of the opera (it's the only song i need to say i could die right now) 12. The Clairvoyant 13.The number of the beast 14. Hallowed be thy name (please) 15. Fear of the dark 🥱 16. Iron Maiden ________Encore________ 17. Bring your daughter... (please Bruce, let us sing one single note for 1 minute straight) 18.Running Free 19. Run to the hills (and lots of pyro again). That would be pretty much it. idk if at this point of their carreer they could play 19 songs on the set but since is a special tour everything may happen. And i really hope they give No Prayer some love
I'm not sure they'll play Transylvania... the extended coda on it is essentially the same as Hallowed be thy name and they're bound to stick with the latter
I don't think they will stop at 16 songs. Since they only play songs from the first 9 albums, including the first 2, which has short songs, I think we can hope for a 18, even 19 song setlist. I think they will be close to 2 hours, since it's a special tour. As for my take on the setlist, I would just write down the songs I think it's realistic to be played, from each album. So not in order. Iron Maiden (they won't leave it out) The Phantom of the Opera (promo video) Running Free (promo video) Wratchild Killers The Numbe of the Beast (they won't leave it out) Run to the Hills (tour name) Hallowed Be Thy Name (they will play it) The Trooper Sun and Steel (maybe), or Still Life. Rime of the Ancient Mariner (It's time to play it) Powerslave (not sure) 2 Minutes to Midnight (it will be 6 years without it, it has to be played) Wasted Years (they won't exclude Somewhere in Time completely) Infinite Dreams The Evil That Men Do (it's time to play it again) Only the Good Die Young (if not now, then never) Bring Your Daughter... to the Slaughter (I can't see anything else played from the NPFTD album) Fear of the Dark Afraid to Shoot Strangers (if there will be two songs from FOTD. BQOBD is too much for Nicko now)
So maiden doesn't really go off quantity of songs, as more time length. 100 minutes tends to be their happy spot. Drop Ancient Mariner, Seventh Son, and you could probably get 18 or 19 songs in there if you try. Do nothing but long songs you could have it down to 14 or 15 songs. Mine came out to 16 at 100 minutes. I'm not super for the 2 songs per album theory. But it will be interesting to see what they do
@@metalheadcarshow Yeah, I can't wait for it. Already have my tickets for Budapest. And yeah, I love to speculate about setlists :D When Bruce and Adrian returned in 1999, they did 18 songs shows, and it was about 105 minutes. When I saw them in 2022, they did go over 110 minutes, nearly 2 hours. So we can hope that we would get more songs. Especially if they will play shorter songs from the first two records too. But, in the other hand, I would like to hear Ancient Mariner, so I hope they will play it. We need at least one epic. I don't think either that they will do two songs per album, I don't see NPFTD get two songs, and FOTD is problematic too. On the other hand, TNOTB will 100% have those 3 songs, and the first record too. And we will have one from SIT too. It will be interesting. But I'm not hoping for too rare songs, I try to keep it real. But I'm hoping for Infinite Dreams and Only the Good Die Young. Let's hope. I could live without Sun and Steel, not a great fan of it, but would be interesting to hear it. I would trade it for Still Life to be honest.
Firstly, there is absolutly no way they're gonna drop The Trooper imo. But that would be almost a perfect setlist, except switch FotD with Afraid to Shoot Strangers (as you said), switch Be Quick or Be Dead with Where Eagles Dare as an opener and Heaven can wait with either Stanger in a Strange Land or surprise everyone and go with The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner! Can't wait for this tour!
Saying no trooper or evil that men do is a bold claim yes. And I'm not the person to doubt what Nicko can do, but think he can nail the Where Eagles Dare intro? I think he's going to keep working to improve. And afraid to shoot strangers would be awesome to hear again.
Here is my prediction 1. Lionliness of the long distance runner 2. Wrathchild 3. Phantom of the opera 4. Killers 5. The number of the beasts 6. Running free 7. Bring your daughter to the slaughter 8. Where eagles dare 9. Rime of the ancient mariner 10. Infinite dreams 11. Trooper 12. Hallowed by thy name 13. Iron maiden 14. Deja vu 15. Fear of the dark 16. 2min to midnight 17. Run to the hills 101 min of running song time
@@metalheadcarshow I thought the song had a similar feeling with caught somewhere in time, has the build up than the band come out with the shift in tempo. But not sure how nick will do with it tho. Maybe have to tweak it like with some of the other songs from there future past tour
Our first songs are similar but then many differences. I think it’s 90% certain they will play running free. And there’s no way they won’t play the trooper. Infinite dreams is in my predictions as well but it’s more a dream for me than a high real probability. I also think they will keep Alexander the Great as the only song from the current tour and from that album.
I'm not ruling Running Free out. Not putting the Trooper and Evil That Men Do in the setlist was a bold move that may back fire on me lol. I don't see Alexander the great for this one. I've got a video on that coming soon
I really wished they had done a tour like metallica's M72 tour. With the no repeat weekends, that would allow them much more flexibility, especially with how many great songs there are in those first 9 albums.
I've poked at a idea like that. But mine incorporated every album. I also tossed Iron Maiden in both sets. What's funny about that. I mentioned this in the Maiden fan club, and so many people where against it. For the notion of needing to buy 2 tickets to hear everything. I think it would be a super special and awesome set of shows
@@metalheadcarshow Yeah it’d definitely need to be a full discography tour. But I don’t understand why people would dislike it, if they announce the setlist before hand, then just go to the one you like the best. Or buy a weekend package or something. It would have to be a limited tour anyway, only stadium venues in big cities. And its not like a lot of the fan club isn’t already seeing multiple shows a year lol
Here is my dream setlist for the 2025 tour 'Run For Your Lives World Tour' : Doctor Doctor (UFO song) Churchill's Speech (intro) 01. Aces High 02. Be Quick or Be Dead 03. Wrathchild 04. Children of the Damned 05. 2 Minutes to Midnight 06. Revelations 07. Flight of Icarus 08. Phantom of the Opera 09. Bring Your Daughter... to the Slaughter 10. Wasting Love 11. The Evil that Men Do 12. Afraid to Shoot Strangers 13. Fear of the Dark 14. Hallowed be Thy Name 15. Iron Maiden Encore: 17. The Number of the Beast 17. The Trooper 18. Wasted Years Encore 2: 19. Run to the Hills 20. Running Free I hesitated to put songs like Can I Play with Madness, The Prisoner, Killers, Where Eagles Dare or Rime of the Ancient Mariner in the setlist but you can't put everything. I would still be happy if they played rarer songs like Murders in the Rue Morgue, Moonchild, Fear is the Key, Judas Be My Guide, Total Eclipse, 22 Acacia Avenue, Flash of the Blade, Infinite Dreams... I can't wait for the concert at Paris La Défense Arena 🤘
I really want them to open with Prowler. First song on the first album. But who knows? They’ll more than likely play Tailgunner first. I think they’ll pick something off each of the first nine albums for sure. I also think that Iron Maiden, Number of the Beast, Hallowed Be They Name, Run To The Hills and Fear of The Dark are locks. I also think they’ll pick something different from Piece of Mind than The Trooper and Revelations since they played those two songs on the last two tours. I think maybe Die With Your Boots On or maybe even Still Life would be great. Rime of the Ancient Mariner will likely be the choice for a longer song. I really hope you’re right about Infinite Dreams too.
@@metalheadcarshow yeah I don’t think they’ll play it but I can always hope. Here’s my guess for a setlist: Tailgunner Children Of The Damned Phantom Of The Opera Killers Stranger In A Strange Land The Number Of The Beast Afraid To Shoot Strangers Still Life Infinite Dreams Rime Of The Ancient Mariner Powerslave Die With Your Boots On Fear Of The Dark Moonchild Hallowed Be Thy Name Iron Maiden
@@CaptainColdyron222 Moonchild was in my setlist for a while. Would be so cool to hear again. Also wasn't expecting Children of the a Damned for some reason. Good pick
@@metalheadcarshow that’s another one that’s doubtful because there are already three songs from that album that are locks but I’d really like to see it live. That’s the great thing about Maiden. They have so many killer songs it’s hard to pick just a few.
Each to their own but I really hope we get some more from SSOASS. I can certainly live without any 90s Maiden but I'm sure there'll be some. I'd quite like a chronological setlist, kinda two from most albums, so.... Remember Tomorrow Wrathchild Twilight Zone (criminally underrated) Run to the Hills The Number of the Beast Revelations Flight of Icarus Rime of the Ancient Mariner Sea of Madness Stranger in a Strange Land Infinite Dreams The Evil that men do Bring your daughter... Iron Maiden Encore Aces High 2 Minutes to Midnight Fear of the Dark Not gonna happen but whatever...
I actually wouldn't mind if "The Trooper" was dropped from the setlist because there are better songs from 'Piece of Mind,' including the aforementioned, "To Tame a Land." And actually, I would love to hear "Flight of Icarus" on the upcoming tour! I know they played in on the Legacy of the Beast tour, but I think it sounds really cool live! I liked your setlist, by the way!
@@stephenbrady916 probably not. And that's nothing against him. Age is a bitch. They could probably still play it, Bruce would just be using more mid tempo notes in it
This is the setlist I am hoping for. It's not gonna happen but I can always hope. By the way it is really time for a song in the setlist, co written by Mr. Murray. The man has been the most loyal to Harris in 50 years. By the way I will statisfied with your setlist. (1) Be quick or be dead (2) Infinite dreams (my favourite Iron Maiden song of all time) (3) Public enema no 1. (It’s time for a Murray song in the setlist) (4) Children of the damned (5) Flight of Icarus (6) Powerslave (7) Killers (8) Afraid to shoot strangers (9) Rime of the Ancient Mariner (10) No Prayer for the dying (11) Phantom of the Opera (12) Sea of Madness (13) Iron Maiden Encores (14) Moonchild (15) The Trooper (16) Hallowed be thy Name (17) Sanctuary
That setlist would be a blast. I would love be to see Public enema number one. And it's a small thing but having a short song played before Iron Maiden is a fun move
You was close but I think mine is closer 1. Be quick or be dead 2. Another life 3. Wrathchild 4. To tame a land 5. 2 minutes to midnight 6. Afraid to shoot strangers 7. 22 acacia avenue 8. Phantom of the opera 9. Moonchild 10. Fear of the dark 11. Wasting love 12. Iron maiden 13. Hallowed be thy name 14. Bring your daughter to the slaughter 15. Run to the hills
@@metalheadcarshow my thinking is they literally just done a tour of somewhere in time that spanned two years. If they do it’s only going to be wasted years or heaven can wait. I do think the tour is gonna be more around the early 90s songs. They have done early days, powerslave era, maiden England era and this I feel will be the next chapter and there will be a documentary dvd of that era which make part 4 of the history of iron maiden.
Very similar to my own guess! If they keep one song from SiT it's going to be Alexander, and there's no way they're going to play To Tame a Land. I reckon Evil That Men Do for the encore opener, plus you forgot The Trooper. I also reckon on a 4th song from NOTB as that one is 40 years old now. Heck, wouldn't surprise me if they play the whole album!
Dropping the trooper is a bold move. Has happened. But not much. And ya not putting evil that men do in the set may have been a mistake lol. I thought about Alexander the great, but seeing no Greece dates and I heard Nicko complain that. We are finally playing it, and nobody cheers when the song starts. I don't know if it's coming back for this one. Can't wait to hear it in Quebec city though
Something i think would be cool is if the setlist was in release order? I know its stupid but it could be cool since its for their 50th anniversary. Kinda like a lookback on how it started. Idk
Or it they did what rush did on their r40 tour and start with the most recent song (in maidens case probably be quick or be dead) and go backwards as the stage gets simpler until finishing with iron maiden
Even if it was just for the first 9 songs that would be pretty cool. Playing with that concept 1.Prowler 2.Wrathchild 3.22 Acacia Ave 4.The Trooper 5.Rime Of The Ancient Mariner 6.Heaven Can Wait 7.The Evil That Men Do 8.Bring Your Daughter To The Slaughter 9.Fear Of The Dark 10.The Number Of The Beast 11.To Tame A Land 12.Phantom Of The Opera 13.Iron Maiden 14.Moonchild 15.Hallowed Be Thy Name 16.Run To The Hills
If they were to go backwards I'd love to see it go like 1 - be quick or be dead 2 - fear of the dark 3 - tailgunner (spitfire) 4 - bring Your Daughter to the slaughter 5 - holy smoke 6 - infinite Dreams 7 - can I play with madness 8 - heaven Can Wait (somewhere in time Eddie) 9 - rime of the ancient mariner (powerslave Eddie) 10 - 2 minutes to midnight 11 - the trooper (trooper Eddie) 12 - sun and steel 13 - number of the beast 14 - hallowed Be Thy Name 15 - run to the hills Encore 16 - wrathchild 17 - killers 18 - phantom of the opera 19 - running Free 20 - iron maiden (tour Eddie)
I think this would be an absolute killer setlist (pun half-intended) and I wouldn't be disappointed in the slightest if this was what they were playing on this upcoming tour, the *only* thing I would change is to swap Aces High out for The Trooper as the encore opener, because 1. Bruce has said that it's a lot tougher for him to sing Aces High near the end of a setlist rather than as an opener as it wears on his voice more, and if you watch footage of Aces High on the Maiden England tour or the 2022 leg of the Legacy of the Beast tour it does kinda show and 2. I doubt Maiden are ever gonna drop The Trooper from a setlist again, I know they dropped it from the 2010 leg of the Final Frontier tour but given that it hasn't been dropped since, I think they know how much of a crowd pleaser it is and wouldn't risk leaving it out again, but those are just my personal thoughts on the matter, for all I know I could be totally proven wrong yet lol but the rest of your prediction sounds like an *incredible* setlist, and I'd especially love to see Infinite Dreams, To Tame a Land and Rime of the Ancient Mariner get pulled out again 😁
Lol thanks! Fair point with Aces High. I know dropping Trooper is a bold move. Seeing everyone comment on its absence from this setlist, I think you are right.
Isn't Be Quick Or Be Dead going to be too hard for Nicko to play of what happened to him and i think it is very hard to say what the setlist is going to be because of how special this tour is and now how much possibility of what songs can be played on this tour because their is a chance for Prowler, Running Free, Sun And Steel (because of the Japanese building in the background behind Eddie and it is like the same when you found that cloud on the artwork and said that could mean that 2 Minutes To Midnight is going to be played so its basically the same and you can then say that Sun and steel can be played and that would be an awesome f*cking surprise and they have gave it recognition as the name of one of their beverages), Powerslave (now im just saying a song i really want to have with the songs in the setlist which we dont know if yet if Rime Of The Ancient Mariner plays but if it is getting played i want Powerslave with it because then it will feel incomplete for me and i will feel really sad but the others songs we can get what you said we can get is incredible especially Infinite Dreams, Killers and To Tame A Land), Deja Vu because now the band has teased us with it and now we want that song just like we wanted Alexander The Great and it is now a possibility that we are going to get the song Deja Vu and it would be another surprise), Only The Good Die Young (because Steve really wants to play it but havent got a chance to do it and now it has a chance and that would be so cool) and From Here to Eternity. Those songs has a kind of big possibility of being played and i think Maiden is bot going to be playing a 16 song setlist. I think it is going to be a 17 to 19 song setlist because of how special this tour is and there is so much we want to hear and get more special songs we havent heard for a long time would be better and we will be satisfied if they dont do 16 song setlist and do a 17 to 19 song setlist instead and Metal Pilgrim actually said to me and think that for certain that they will do a 17 to 19 song setlist because of what i just said kinda but more accurate. That is my thoughts and what do you think about it?
I'm going to break that down into chunks lol Be quick or be dead. That all comes down to how he's feeling. He went from not being able to drum to being able to tour in a short period of time. And he seams better now than he was last year. Now the song is a bit faster yes. And that could be an issue. But it's all down to his recovery. Japanese building. I mentioned that on the first Run For Your Lives video I did. With the destruction of the church that we saw from all the Legacy of the Beast tour artwork. I think that's kind of a destruction of the Senjutsu era, leading into this new one. Hearing Sun and Steel would be awesome. I would have loved it in an Senjutsu tour. If that happened. But I don't think it's going to make its way here. Alexander the great. It was briefly on my setlist. But seeing no Greek dates on the schedule, and they are playing to a crowd that recently saw Alexander the great live. I'm not sure if we will be seeing it on this tour. As I said, I don't see Somewhere In Time being a priority on this tour. Probably getting one song Only the good die young. I remember reading Steve wanted to play it. I'm sceptical that they will have a live debut on this tour. But I'm not going to rule it out. Quantity of songs. If maiden wants to pull out a couple more songs I'm all for it. I made mine around 100 minutes. That has been their happy spot for the past 18 years or so. So I'm not assuming that will change this time around. Although I will be thrilled if it gets longer. Side note. It's a tricky setlist to make. Because we know they will be pulling out the hits. But also some special songs that they say will likely be the last chance to see those songs. And covering songs from 9 albums. Not easy. But thank you for watching!
It obviously will come down to what Nicko is able to play, which is why we shouldn’t be making predictions at all. I think there should be an element of surprise to it.
Nicko has already said that there are some songs that he can’t play anymore. I feel this is a bit of a thorny issue because a lot of the songs have big Tom fills etc and it’s difficult enough hearing the trooper without the fills we remember but let’s say run to the hills with little or no fills? It just won’t sound right. I am a big Nicko Mcbrain fan ( I have a replica kit! ) so what I say is not from a point of malice it’s just fact. He has defied the odds just to get back playing and touring.
I thought about Moonchild for a while as an Encore starter. I saw some evidence for Aces High so I made that swap. As for the Trooper. I've got a lot of comments saying not adding it was a mistake. Which I think answers my question of, do people care that I didn't add it. But I didn't add it to make time for other songs, adding Number Of The Beast singles, 2 minutes, Ancient Mariner, so on. Could be enough for no Trooper. Maybe lol
In a perfect world this would be the setlist if one could pick only 18. In the real world I'll be happy if 5-6 of them will be played. My first show I went to in 2005 were dedicated to the first four albums, so in the even more perfect world they'd skip the first two albums and play songs from Brave new world and Dance of death instead. Dance of death is the only remaining album I haven't heard them play live at all. Sucks since it's one of my favourite album and the title track one of my favourite songs. 1. Be Quick or Be Dead 2. The Prisoner 3. Phantom of the Opera 4. Afraid to Shoot Strangers 5. Flight of Icarus 6. Wasting Love 7. Judas Be My Guide 8. No Prayer for the Dying 9. Alexander the Great 10. Remember Tomorrow 11. The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner 12. 22 Acacia Avenue 13. Only the Good Die Young 14. Rime of the Ancient Mariner 15. Aces High 17. The Clairvoyant 18. Hallowed Be Thy Name
That tour was probably a lot of fun though. I figure we'll hear some dance of death in the future . Cool setlist though. If I could add 2 more songs to mine, I would probably go with Moonchild and Drifter
@@metalheadcarshow The 16 year old me couldn’t yet fully appreciate the setlist as much as 35 year old me would. Great show! th-cam.com/video/pYi4gaj5_Ik/w-d-xo.htmlsi=ZiDzwOrowfx9W13r
@@metalheadcarshow Today it would never in a million years happen, but for some reason, back then, Swedish public service TV decided to 1. Use one of their (only) two channels to broadcast nonstop hard rock for 24 hours. And 2. Broadcast this show live as the finally. That's how it got recorded at all. That is taxpayer money well spent I say!!
On the press release they say, songs they haven't played for a long time, and likely won't play again. That doesn't rule out songs like Only The Good Die Young or Judas Be My Guide. But I wouldn't bank on them
In the moment at the gig, I’ll enjoy all those songs. But nearly a year out, other than, To Tame A Land & Phantom of the Opera, that isn’t a set that excites me. Is pretty much just a standard greatest hits set. I’m hoping they throw Janick a bone and do four or five from No Prayer & Fear. I’d love first time ever plays and complete deep cuts like The Fugitive or Fates Warning. But would settle for Holy Smoke & From Here to Eternity. Personally I’d be delighted if one or two, or even all of 2 Minutes, Fear of the Dark, Wrathchild, Hallowed & Number of the Beast were absent. But if I had one wish, it would be that they dropped the song, Iron Maiden.
Since they dropped a lot of the hits for the Future Past Tour, it's more than likely they will make a comeback on this tour. This is my prediction setlist, dream setlist is something very different
@@metalheadcarshow Yeah I know it is prediction of the likely setlist as opposed to a dream setlist. It is just, that it is probably mostly correct, and as a long time fan who has seen them a good few times, it is a bit depressing against what they could do. But I'm sure for some people your setlist would be an ideal setlist and they will be hoping it happens.
@@VantagePointrocks that's completely fair. And honestly why I love doing these videos and hearing other people's opinions. Personally, iv seen Maiden 13 times now, 15 by Halloween. But I would be fine with Trooper, Fear of the dark, number of the beast dropped from the setlist for a while. I would love to see Only The Good Die Young, Public enema number one, and Judas Be My Guide pulled out. Is what it is though. I understand why they keep playing them though. The crowd reaction to Fear or Trooper is always incredible
1. Phantom of the Opera 2. Wrathchild 3. Killers 4. 22 Acacia Avenue 5. Children of the Damned 6. The Trooper 7. Sun and Steel (there's a little Japanese building in the background of the poster, so I think they're hinting at playing that) 8. 2 Minutes to Midnight 9. Rime of the Ancient Mariner 10. Wasted Years 11. The Clairvoyant 12. The Evil That Men Do 13. Bring Your Daughter... to the Slaughter 14. Fear of the Dark 15. Iron Maiden ----Encore--- 16. The Number of the Beast 17. Sanctuary 18. Hallowed Be Thy Name 19. Run to the Hills 20. Running Free I know this is a lot of songs for Maiden, but I think it's at least somewhere realistic, and it's under 2 hours in length.
Awesome! In my opinion this setlist is too good to be true(and I love it very much), but if happen to be(or something very similar to that one) I'll shit my pants for sure! I have a ticket for the first show on 27th of May so I can die with my boots on after that! Up the Irons!
I think you're close but you've missed 2 glaring things. Firstly they said they were playing songs not song they've not played before. So I'd swap heaven can wait for Loneliness of the long distance runner. Also I think aces high will get dropped in favour of Running free. That was used in the video announcement. Not the music but the graphic. So that's a given. I also think be quick or be dead is too fast for nicko so instead we'll get 'Afraid to shoot strangers'. Show opener.... Tailgunner
Went to double check their official press release. I copied this We will cover classics and fan favourites from the first nine albums, from IRON MAIDEN to FEAR OF THE DARK, many of which we haven’t played in years and many we will likely never play again in the future. We have already been hard at work for months putting together an even more spectacular and elaborate new show which will bring the songs to life more than we have ever been able to do before. This is going to be a huge couple of years for IRON MAIDEN, and Eddie of course, and we are very excited about what we have up our sleeves for you fans throughout the whole of our 50th year. I promise you are all going to be very happy indeed!” Nothin on there of songs they have never played. I do think not adding The Trooper or Evil That Men Do was a mistake lol
Well i have two versions. One of them is a prediction and one is a dream set. The prediction: 1. Aces High 2. Wrathchild 3. Die With Your Boots on 4. 2 Minutes to Midnight 5. The Phantom of the Opera 6. The Trooper 7. Tailgunner 8. The Number of the Beast 9.Fear of the Dark 10. Evil that Men Do 11. Iron Maiden 12. (Encore) Hallowed be thy Name 13. Wasted Years 14. Running Free 15. Run to the Hills The dream one would be: 1. Moonchild 2. Wrathchild 3. From Here to Eternity 4. 22 Acacia Avenue 5. Phantom of the Opera 6. Run Silent Run Deep 7. Genghis Khan 8. Judas Be My Guide 9. Seventh Son 10. Sea of Madness 11. The Number of the Beast 12. Iron Maiden 13. (Encore) Still Life 14. Sanctuary 15. Run to the Hills
They will likely be doing more than 15 songs on this tour. Only reason they tend to do that is they like playing about 100 minutes per show, and adding songs like Hell on earth, death of the Celts, time machine, and so on. Eat up a lot of time. So having sets like these which are mostly shorter songs, hell you could probably hit 18 songs of you say away form Ancient Mariner or Seventh Son
Just because the tour is playing songs from the first nine albums doesn't mean they will play a song from each of those albums. The chances of them playing anything off of No Prayer For The Dying is nil. Likewise, after playing five songs from the Somewhere in Time on the current tour, it's unlikely we are going see anything from that album played either. If they do play something off of SiT, it might be Sea of Madness (which would be a great addition) rather than any songs that is on their current setlist.
I kind of agree? Like you are correct, it's not guaranteed they will play stuff from the first 9 albums. But seeing all 9 albums referenced in the tour art makes me think they will.
Drop wrathchild replace with Killers. Good call on Infinite Dreams. I expect Sun and Steel, To Tame a Land, Rime of the Ancient Mariner, Phanton of the Opera, Prowler, Heaven Can Wait, Be Quick and Fear or the Dark. I dont necessarily agree with the Bring your Daughter on the set. Maybe Fates Warning maybe Hooks in You or Run Silent Run Deep.
I wouldn't be surprised if they left out Hallowed as well as the Trooper, to make room for less played songs. I figure that they will do a later tour for the last albums, with earlier hits like Hallowed and Trooper, so those are held in reserve, so to speak. I figure this will be their second to last tour, unless they drop one more album. In that case, they will tour for a new album, then tour for albums after FotD. And then retire.
I would be shocked if Hallowed be thy name was dropped 2 tours in a row. After this tour though? I have a sneaking suspicion that the next tour will be x factor to Senjutsu, new album tour after that. Then who knows
As much as i like your setlist i dont see it happen. They have to fill stadiums on this tour and therefor they will play their most popular songs. They wont drop The Trooper and to be honest i dont see them play anything from No Prayer for the Dying and Somewhere in Time, except for maybe Wasted Years. 2 Minutes to Midnight and The Evil Evil that Men do will be on the Set since they havent been for the last one and a half tours. But i totally see them play Rime of the Ancient Mariner and Only the Good Die Young since Harris sayed in an Interview that they will play it one day. What i personally hope for and from what i have read i am not alone in that: Still Life, Infinite Dreams, To Tame a Land. Or maybe they can just play the whole Peace of Mind and Seventh Son Records just for me so that i can die in peace.
I sort of agree? Hits will be played 100%. And dropping Trooper and Evil That Men Do is a bold move. But based on the theme and art work I think we are getting a No Prayer song. Only the good die young. I would love to hear it. But I'm not going to hold my breath for it.
@@Donbazzini22222no they didn't they play the same setlist every show altho they do change setlist it's very very rare last time they changed it in middle of a tour was 2010 I think where they played brighter than thousand sun's but was removed for Wrathchlld
Depending on Nickos health, I suspect he will be replaced. Maybe with hus son. Or augmented with another drummer to allow him to play but not restrict things. Hes golden, but age catches us all.
I think if Nicko or anyone from Maiden where to step down, be fired and die. Then we might get a retirement tour with a full in. And then that would be it. I don't see anyone being replaced long term. I know Priest does it. But I don't see Maiden doing it
Good prediction! However I don’t see Heaven Can Wait coming back next year. If they’re gonna do anything from Somewhere in Time it’ll probably be Wasted Years. And honestly I see Die With Your Boots on being in the set more than To Tame a Land.
Going with Wasted Years over Heaven can wait is a safe pick. Won't argue there. And I would love to see Die With Your Boots On. But if a part of this tour will be to play some songs that haven't been played in a while, and will likley never get played again, I think To Tame A Land may fit that a bit better for this one. Although I want to see Die With Your Boots On. As for Aces High, your right. It's been played to death. But the bulk of fans love it. And if Maiden hated it, it wouldn't keep coming back.

You are 100% correct. Paul will show them for the show in London and that show will be recorded for a DVD
That would be a super fun show
hopefully we'll see him in Manchester as well
Would love this. I think running free will also be in the set list.
@@metalheadcarshow Maybe be 'cause it's a weak album, and they know it.
Agreed, sad they didn't even release a live album for the tour where they played the whole album, I'd listen to that so much
I also don't understand, great album 😀 Something completly diffrent, beautiful and epic music.
Yeah it's not weak though, its one of their finest, it's.just amazing songs and epic songs writing,
Might not be your favourite but lots love it,

6. From Here to Eternity
7. Bring Your Daughter the the Slaughter

12. Rime of the Ancient Mariner
13. Sun and Steel

@@metalheadcarshow That's a great list of deep cuts, but it's never going to happen
But they said we have some surprises;
I hope for The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner and yes To Tame a Land would be great
Here is my prediction:
1. Wrathchild
2. Pantom of the Opera
3. Afraid to Shoot Strangers
4. Bring Your Daughter to the Slaughter
5. Powerslave
6. Murders in the Rue Morgue
7. Children of the Damned
8. Fear of the Dark
9. Moonchild
10 Revelations
11 Two Minutes to Midnight
12 Sun and Steel
13 Iron Maide
--------------------
14 Run to the Hills
15 Wasted Years
16 The Evil that Men Do
Maybe switch Revelations and Evil.
I think Revelations is a safe call
I don't think they will drop "The Trooper"😅 and i hope the play "Where Eagles Dare"
I've got so many comments on the Troopers absence lol.
Where Eagles Dare is the first song I saw Maiden play in '83. sadly I don't think it will make the cut on this tour though.
@@daiwilliams5628 They played it in 2016 on 'The Book Of Souls' tour
Trying to kill Nico
@@metalheadcarshowit’s because it’s impossible they will drop it. 😉
if they play rime again, i would finally have a chance to hear it live
Same!
rime of the ancient mariner is overrated in my opinion.
the most important factor in the song selection will be whether nicko can play the respective song at all. many of them fall away because they are simply too fast from the 16th note movements. on the current tour, which nicko is doing at his best due to his brain stroke, you can see how reduced he has to play. so at the end, i expect a setlist that won't be too complex and fast. which i would also be happy with :)
That is true. But we know Nicko will do everything he can to improve on where he is right now, or or make it so he can play them. Time will tell
Cool setlist,
My prediction
1. Murders in the rue morgue (also a classic opener that hasn't been played since 2005)
2. The trooper
3. Still Life (also a fan favoriete song that hasn't been played since 1988, it can be that Maiden will play one of their live favorites of piece of mind and that is die with your Boots on)
4. Afraid to shoot strangers ( they will play 2 songs from fear of the dark)
5. Killers (we see Eddie with the axe in the promo)
6. Rime of the ancient mariner (Bruce wants it back and because it takes over 13 minutes it will be the only song from powerslave, we had the 2 singles on Legacy of the beast tour and the title track on Book of souls tour, so now it is mariners turn)
7. Wasted years (the only SiT song since they play many songs from that album during the current future past tour, the lyrics fit a 50th anniversity well)
8. Phantom of the opera (we hear it in the promo)
9. The number of the beast
10. Infinite dreams (fans do request this song and indeed it was planned in 2013 for the Maiden England tour)
11. Fear of the dark (for change I hope it will not be the song just before iron maiden)
12. Bring your daughter to the slaughter (I agree at least one song from the No Prayer album will be played, and this one was a big hit in the UK, but maybe we get Tailgunner, the first line in the song is "trace your way back 50 years ...")
13. Hallowed be thy name
14. Iron Maiden
‐------------------------------------------
15. Only the good die young (Harris said he would like to play this song live once, it would be a great surprise as encore opener)
16. Run to the Hills
17. Running free (we see the streets of the single in the promo, and who knows Paul Di Anno comes on stage to sing along, there are rumors ...)
I know 17 songs is maybe one song to much, so maybe they will not play only the good die young and start the encores with bring your daughter.
I think that setlist is both realistic and fun. I've read about Only The Good Die Young. I'll be happily wrong about my setlist if it played. But I'm not holding my breath for it
1. Prowler
2. Bring me your daughter
3. Wrathchild
4. Afraid to shoot strangers
5. Wasting love
6. Infinite Dreams
7. To tame a Land
8. Rime of the ancient mariner
Killers
.Hallowed be thy name
Phantom of the opera
Run to the hills
Running free
Looks like a fun time. Why so short though?
@@metalheadcarshow well, few songs are quite long that's why . I surely love if they'll put more songs 😅
Should open with Tailgunner! "Trace your way back 50 years"
Purely for that line I now want it to be tailgunner lol
Here is my take:
(tape intro) The ides of march
Wrathchild
Phantom of the opera
The trooper
Killers
Revelations
Wasting love
Run to the hills
Rime of the ancient mariner
Wasted years
Frome here to eternity
Hallowed be thy name
Bring your daughter... To the slaughter
Fear of the dark
Iron maiden
Encore:
Tailgunner
The clairvoyant
Running free
Love the encore!
My personal prediction
1 - be quick or be dead
2 - wrathchild
3 - 2 minutes to midnight
4 - infinte dreams
5 - killers
6 - total eclipse
7 - the trooper
8 - phantom of the opera
9 - bring Your Daughter to the slaughter
10 - hallowed Be Thy Name
11- number of the beast
12 - fear of the dark
13 - iron maiden
Encore
14 - tailgunner
15 - running free
16 - run to the hills
Total eclipse would be neat to see. Not my favorite, but I also know Maiden loves it
Great video! I sooo hope you're right about Infinite Dreams and To Tame a Land.
It wouldn't surprise me if they started with Tailgunner at all!
Thanks! I'm not assuming Tailgunner. But A, I would love it. B, I would love to see the crowd reaction to that being the intro song
Probably not. I agree about the name though. Probably just because in 50 years Run To The Hills was the biggest hot they ever had.
Live after death tour was the greatest show I ever seen
Great video, thanks x
Thanks!
My guess is
1- Be quick or be dead
2- Phantom of the Opera
3- 2 minutes to midnight
4- Wrathchild / Murders in the rue morgue
5- Children of the Damned / 22 acacia avenue
6- Revelations / Die with your boots on
7- The evil that men do
8- Bring your daughter to the slaughter
9- Deja Vu / loneliness of the long distance runner
10- Moonchild
11- Killers / Running free
12- Rime of the ancient mariner
13- The trooper
14- Run to the hills
15- Fear of the dark
In ether variety it would be fun sat. I would add Iron Maiden though
@@metalheadcarshow indeed
It's actually a good idea
Which song would you change to add Iron Maiden¿
1. Murders in the Rue Morgue
2. Wrathchild
3. Run to the Hills
4. Infinite Dreams
5. Seventh Son of a Seventh Son
6. The Trooper
7. Sun and Steel
8. Rime of the Ancient Mariner
9. Bring your Daughter…To the Slaughter
10. Phantom of the Opera
11. Alexander the Great
12. Fear of the Dark
13. Iron Maiden
Encore
14. The Number of the Beast
15. The Clairvoyant
16. Running Free
Other possible songs: Still Life, Only the Good Die Young, To Tame a Land and 22 Acacia Avenue.
I poked at Murders in the Rue Morgue as a opener. I think pulling out Seventh Son would blow people's mind
Not gonna play 8. And 11.
@@TimJones-cb7on I have my doubts for Alexander on this tour. Rime of the ancient Mariner? I think is very possible this time around
If they don't play *Rime of the Ancient Mariner* I'm selling my ticket...
Sell because some real fan wants to go to the show. That song is too damn long! It is not going to be played 100%
Doubt they will it’s already been done sorry you missed it
So our dream are coming through.
Awesome! I hope you get to hear it next year!
@@metalheadcarshow thanks! Got my tickets for Manchester and London!
@@seanlepki9121 nice!
quite accurate prediction
Thanks for checking out the channel!
I agree with your picks but my dream setlist would be;
Note: If it wasn't their first nine albums and any from Iron Maiden - Senjutsu my list would be;
(In no particular order)
1. Satellite 15 the Final Frontier
2. The Longest Day
3. Speed of light
4. The Talisman
5. Sign of the Cross
6. Como Estais Amigos
7. The Trooper
8. Stratego
9. Dance of Death
10. Rainmaker
11. The Clansman
12. Wicker Man
13. Iron Maiden
Encore:
1. Empire of the Clouds
2. Where Eagles Dare
3. Run to the Hills.
Empire of The clouds is a great edition.
I have a suspicion that they may do a part 2 to this tour being X Factor to Senjutsu
@@metalheadcarshow That I would love to see!
Here is what I predict:
Intro: The Ides of March
1. Wrathchild
2 Tailgunner
3. 2 Minutes to Midnight
4. Revelations
5. Phantom of the Opera
6. Infinite Dreams
7. Afraid to Shoot Strangers
8. The Trooper
9. Bring Your Daughter...
10. The Evil That Men
11. Fear of the Dark
12. The Number of the Beast
13. Iron Maiden
Encore:
14. Churchills Speech/Aces High
15. Wasted Years
(16. Running Free or Sanctuary) Not sure about this one
16 (17 if they play Running Free or Sanctuary) Run to the Hills 🤘
I do think it's a fairly realistic setlist. I'll be surprised if No Prayer gets 2 songs though
I have my ticket to the first show in Budapest. I am in team To tame a land 🤟
Hope you have a awesome time!
Run silent run deep is my fav song from no prayer for the dying! Mega underrated song!
100% agreed. Love the guitar harmony in the middle
Good song on a pretty bad album
@@toddlesiak3837 bot a bad album. Still has bangers on it. But I think it's surrounded in such solid albums that it's looked at as a bad or weak album

@@toddlesiak3837 not going to argue that lol.
Hey thanks! I was actually watching your video while editing mine!
@@metalheadcarshow haha awesome man thanks for the support 🤘🏻
I need rime of mariner, powerslave, moonchild.. whatever comes after this is bonus
All 3 would be amazing
I think almost the same about the set list but not about To Tame A Land, it will be to good to be true.
This maybe THE tour for it. Let's hope
I think they also have to take their age into account. I saw Maiden in Sydney a couple of weeks ago and Nicko struggled a bit with the technical parts due to his stroke. So I'd love to hear songs like Where Eagles Dare and Phantom Of The Opera, but I just worry Nicko might not be able to manage it
I've got a seeking suspension that Where Eagles Dare maybe gone for good. It will be interesting to see how he does with Phantom of the opera
@@metalheadcarshow I'm afraid a lot of songs are unlikely because of this. Nicko a few years ago would hit the drums about twice as many times as today. Particularly he seem to struggle with the more upbeat ones. Really hope he's up for Phantom tho.
They should open with Prowler, as they’re celebrating 50 years of the band. And I do hope they do.
I would be surprised to see it. But it would be a lot of fun as a opener
Just saw them 2 nights ago and nicko is back in full force It was incredible
Would love to see Drifter and Purgatory
I would pay extra for Drifter
How cool would it be to start the set with the first song on IM, Prowler and end the set with the last song on Fear of the Dark being the title track. Also they've played Sanctuary a lot as an encore. I feel confident that will be in there.
Sanctuary is a weird one. They use to play it all of the time. Now it's turned into a rarity. I would be thrilled to see it return
It's my 14th birthday literally a few months before I'm going so I can js about go on my own and I'm so excited 😼😼
Awesome! Hope you have a great time!
I already put this up with another video, but it belongs more with this video;
My prediction/proposal for a setlist:
- Aces High
- Killers
- Be Quick or Be Dead
- Bring Your Daughter to the Slaughter
- The Clairvoyant
- Revelations
- Murders in the Rue Morgue
- The Number of the Beast
- The Evil That Men Do
- Die With Your Boots On
- Deja-Vu
- Phantom of the Opera
- 2 Minutes to Midnight
- Fear of the Dark
- Rime of the Ancient Mariner
- The Trooper
- Iron Maiden
Encores:
- Run to the Hills
- Running Free
- Hallowed be Thy Name
Plenty of classics, a couple of tracks they haven't played in 20-30 years and one never played track (as I do think they'll be playing something from the Somewhere in Time album, but not a song they're playing on the current tour).
I see a lot of people mentioning Wrathchild. If so, then Wrathchild as second song and Killers moves to the Murders in the Rue Morgue spot and Murders is off the setlist.
Ya, unfortunately it's probably going to be tricky to get 3 killers songs on the set
Good setlist! I'm just going to give a few song predictions as I'm about to go to bed so I'll complete the list tomorrow but for now i think they'll include:
1) Prowler, first song from the first album. Feels like a good one to start with for a mile stone tour
2) Phantom of the Opera. My reasoning for this is a bit silly but it's been used in their instagram post promoting the tour so i guess we'll see
3) Run to the Hills, like you said, the lyrics are the tour name (the future past was/is played on the future past tour)
4) Infinite Dreams, this is one many people want to see and they haven't played it in a long time so here's hoping...
I would be surprised to see anything wacky come from Somewhere in Time for this one
my prediction:
the first nine songs: one song from each album (reverse chronological order):
1. be quick or be dead
2. tailgunner
3. infinite dreams
4. heaven can wait / alexander the great
5. rime of the ancient mariner
6. revelations / to tame a land
7. the number of the beast
8. wrathchild
9. phantom of the opera
then two further songs (one pre-dickinson-era, one first-dickinson-era):
10. killers
11. only the good die young
then the known part :
12. fear of the dark
13. iron maiden
encore:
14. the trooper
15. hallowed be thy name
16. run to the hills
That's a really cool concept
Be Quick or Be Dead will be the opening track 100%
It would be super cool to hear
I would love to see them open beast over Hammersmith style with a tape of ides of march into murders in the rue morgue but other opening options are wrathchild, aces high, moonchild or be quick or be dead. Closing song will probably be either iron maiden, hallowed be thy name, run to the hills or my personal pick of running free
Moonchild was in my setlist for a while. But I think opening with Murders in the Rue Morgue would be a great move
Im a young listener, my firat maiden concert was days of future past and one of my favourite songs is rime of the ancient mariner, i hope they play it. When last tour dropped i learned all of senjistu album, and even tho its new i really like it, different from there others
Great album!
But I do figure they will be playing Ancient Mariner next time around
My prediction (and wishlist) below:
Prowler
Wrathchild
Killers
22 Acacia Avenue
The Trooper
Afraid to Shoot Strangers
2 Minutes to Midnight
Powerslave
Tailgunner
The Loneliness of a Long Distance Runner
Infinite Dreams
Phantom of the Opera
The Number of the Beast
Fear of the Dark
Wasted Years
Murders in the Rue Morgue
Hallowed Be Thy Name
Run to the Hills
Iron Maiden
Running Free
That setlist looks like a lot of fun. Not sure if Long distance runner will be coming back though
Now sure. As for Nicko, it will be interesting to see how he is next year with a bit more recovery time
Be Quick or Be Dead is actually easier and slower than Caught Somewhere in Time
My hopeful (yet delusional) setlist;
1. Ides of March/Wrathchild
2. 2 Minutes Till Midnight
3. The Trooper
4. Infinite Dreams
5. Revalations
6. Purgatory
7. Rime Of The Ancient Marnier
8. Phantom Of the Opera
9. Heaven Can Wait
10. No Prayer For the Dying
11. To Tame A Land
12. Total Eclipse
13. Only the Good die young
14. Fear of the Dark
15. Iron Maiden
16. Aces High
17. Hallowed be Thy Name
18. Run To The Hills
A little on the long side, But i would love to see rime of the ancient mariner, To tame a land, purgatory, and/or total eclipse.
I wouldn't be too shocked if Total Eclipse is pulled out before they wrap it up. great set though. Only thing I would say is, I think Only The Good Die Young would make a great closing song
@@metalheadcarshow yeah i wasn’t really sure where to put only the good die young, just kinda threw it in to make the transition between total eclipse and fotd better
this is gonne be my first ever Iron Maiden show so i would love to year to trooper
You likley will. It was probably a mistake not adding it and Evil That Men Do
@@metalheadcarshow I would love to hear out of the silent planet. That song I listen everyday when started reading out of the silent planet
I don't think Nicko will be able to play Be Quick... after his stroke.
My setlist plan:
Intro "633 Squadron Theme"
Tailgunner
Wrathchild
Killers
2 Minutes to Midnight
Infinite Dreams
Hallowed be thy Name
The Trooper
Afraid to Shoot Strangers
Heaven Can Wait
To Tame a Land
The Number of the Beast
Phantom of the Opera
Fear of the Dark
Iron Maiden
Bring Your Daughter...
Run to the Hills
Running Free
Times a cruel thing. My theory. 2027-2028 could be a x factor - Senjutsu tour. New album after that. Then who knows. Plane hasn't landed yet
Here's mine
Doctor Doctor
Transylvania
*Lights go out and then Adrian comes out playing Prowler* (just like The Wickerman lol)
1. Prowler
2. Wrathchild
3. 2 Minutes to Midnight
* Bruce's little chat about the tour and blah blah*
4. Infinite Dreams (i think this one is very possible since Nicko has been playing this song with Titanium Tart sooo... im very hopeful about this one)
5. Afraid to shoot strangers
6. The Trooper (i really miss Trooper in the main set, Bruce is already tired when they play it at the end of the set)
7.The Prisoner (They always grab something from the previous tour even tho it's not one of my faves, it works very well)
8. No prayer for the dying (i know, i know, it's just because i've been listening this song on loop over and over the last few days and thought it would be so good to see being played again, probably not but it's ok)
9. Heaven can wait (just like The Prisoner, it could be a recycled from the future past tour)
"This is what not to do if a bird sh*ts on you"
10. The rime of the ancient mariner (i really hope they the rescue this one)
11. The Phantom of the opera (it's the only song i need to say i could die right now)
12. The Clairvoyant
13.The number of the beast
14. Hallowed be thy name (please)
15. Fear of the dark 🥱
16. Iron Maiden
________Encore________
17. Bring your daughter... (please Bruce, let us sing one single note for 1 minute straight)
18.Running Free
19. Run to the hills (and lots of pyro again).
That would be pretty much it.
idk if at this point of their carreer they could play 19 songs on the set but since is a special tour everything may happen.
And i really hope they give No Prayer some love
Looks like it would be a lot of fun. I've also seen a fair bit of people request "No Prayer For The Dying" to be played
I'm not sure they'll play Transylvania... the extended coda on it is essentially the same as Hallowed be thy name and they're bound to stick with the latter
Personally, with this being the 50th anniversary tour, I believe we’re gonna see more than 15 to 16 songs. I predict 21 songs at a minimum.
That would be awesome
I don't think they will stop at 16 songs. Since they only play songs from the first 9 albums, including the first 2, which has short songs, I think we can hope for a 18, even 19 song setlist. I think they will be close to 2 hours, since it's a special tour.
As for my take on the setlist, I would just write down the songs I think it's realistic to be played, from each album. So not in order.
Iron Maiden (they won't leave it out)
The Phantom of the Opera (promo video)
Running Free (promo video)
Wratchild
Killers
The Numbe of the Beast (they won't leave it out)
Run to the Hills (tour name)
Hallowed Be Thy Name (they will play it)
The Trooper
Sun and Steel (maybe), or Still Life.
Rime of the Ancient Mariner (It's time to play it)
Powerslave (not sure)
2 Minutes to Midnight (it will be 6 years without it, it has to be played)
Wasted Years (they won't exclude Somewhere in Time completely)
Infinite Dreams
The Evil That Men Do (it's time to play it again)
Only the Good Die Young (if not now, then never)
Bring Your Daughter... to the Slaughter (I can't see anything else played from the NPFTD album)
Fear of the Dark
Afraid to Shoot Strangers (if there will be two songs from FOTD.
And yeah, I love to speculate about setlists :D
When Bruce and Adrian returned in 1999, they did 18 songs shows, and it was about 105 minutes.
Here is my prediction
1. Lionliness of the long distance runner
2. Wrathchild
3. Phantom of the opera
4. Killers
5. The number of the beasts
6. Running free
7. Bring your daughter to the slaughter
8. Where eagles dare
9. Rime of the ancient mariner
10. Infinite dreams
11. Trooper
12. Hallowed by thy name
13. Iron maiden
14. Deja vu
15. Fear of the dark
16. 2min to midnight
17. Run to the hills
101 min of running song time
Long distance runner as a opener would hilarious. All for it
@@metalheadcarshow I thought the song had a similar feeling with caught somewhere in time, has the build up than the band come out with the shift in tempo. But not sure how nick will do with it tho. Maybe have to tweak it like with some of the other songs from there future past tour
@@cameronbarrow6834 always can tweek it. I believe they dropped it in 86 because being to technical then though
Here is my dream setlist for the 2025 tour 'Run For Your Lives World Tour' :
Doctor Doctor (UFO song)
Churchill's Speech (intro)
01. Aces High
02. Be Quick or Be Dead
03. Wrathchild
04. Children of the Damned
05. 2 Minutes to Midnight
06. Revelations
07. Flight of Icarus
08. Phantom of the Opera
09. Bring Your Daughter... to the Slaughter
10. Wasting Love
11. The Evil that Men Do
12. Afraid to Shoot Strangers
13. Fear of the Dark
14. Hallowed be Thy Name
15. Iron Maiden
Encore:
17. The Number of the Beast
17. The Trooper
18. Wasted Years
Encore 2:
19. Run to the Hills
20. Running Free
I hesitated to put songs like Can I Play with Madness, The Prisoner, Killers, Where Eagles Dare or Rime of the Ancient Mariner in the setlist but you can't put everything.
I don't think it will be nothing but hits, I think there will be some odd ball songs. But we shall see. And I hope you have an amazing time!
Really want them to play Alexander the Great and powerslave live
Those 2 together would be really cool
I've been seeing a lot of people say they want to hear Prowler. Didn't make it to my setlist, but it would be awesome to hear
@@metalheadcarshow yeah I don’t think they’ll play it but I can always hope. Here’s my guess for a setlist:
Tailgunner
Children Of The Damned
Phantom Of The Opera
Killers
Stranger In A Strange Land
The Number Of The Beast
Afraid To Shoot Strangers
Still Life
Infinite Dreams
Rime Of The Ancient Mariner
Powerslave
Die With Your Boots On
Fear Of The Dark
Moonchild
Hallowed Be Thy Name
Iron Maiden
@@CaptainColdyron222 Moonchild was in my setlist for a while. Would be so cool to hear again. Also wasn't expecting Children of the a Damned for some reason. Good pick
@@metalheadcarshow that’s another one that’s doubtful because there are already three songs from that album that are locks but I’d really like to see it live. That’s the great thing about Maiden. They have so many killer songs it’s hard to pick just a few.
@@CaptainColdyron222 agreed. I think everyone's happy spot for this tour would probably be 50 songs lol
We all know Maiden likes to open their shows with those epic intros, The Ides of March before Wrathchild makes more sense.
I feel like if they go that route it will probably be The Ides Of March going into Murders in the Rue Morgue
Each to their own but I really hope we get some more from SSOASS. I can certainly live without any 90s Maiden but I'm sure there'll be some.
I'd quite like a chronological setlist, kinda two from most albums, so....
Remember Tomorrow
Wrathchild
Twilight Zone (criminally underrated)
Run to the Hills
The Number of the Beast
Revelations
Flight of Icarus
Rime of the Ancient Mariner
Sea of Madness
Stranger in a Strange Land
Infinite Dreams
The Evil that men do
Bring your daughter...
Iron Maiden
Encore
Aces High
2 Minutes to Midnight
Fear of the Dark
Not gonna happen but whatever...
Twilight Zone is way underrated. Not sure if Bruce is a great fit for it. But damn that can at least bring Twilight Zone back to Spotify
Flight of Icarus was a real treat. Unfortunately most people seamed upset that Trooper wasn't in mine. But thanks!
@@metalheadcarshow That's your setlist, though! We all like different things and that's cool!
Would love to hear back in the village, flash of the blade, still life, quest for fire, but this set list would be cool
I would buy a ticket just to hear Quest for fire
@@metalheadcarshow i feel the same way about flash of the blade - not sure if bruce can still hit those notes tho
(1) Be quick or be dead
(2) Infinite dreams (my favourite Iron Maiden song of all time)
(3) Public enema no 1. (It’s time for a Murray song in the setlist)
(4) Children of the damned
(5) Flight of Icarus
(6) Powerslave
(7) Killers
(8) Afraid to shoot strangers
(9) Rime of the Ancient Mariner
(10) No Prayer for the dying
(11) Phantom of the Opera
(12) Sea of Madness
(13) Iron Maiden
Encores
(14) Moonchild
(15) The Trooper
(16) Hallowed be thy Name
(17) Sanctuary
That setlist would be a blast. I would love be to see Public enema number one. And it's a small thing but having a short song played before Iron Maiden is a fun move
Children of the damned, no prayer for the dying, and sanctuary? Love It
You was close but I think mine is closer 1. Be quick or be dead
2. Another life
3. Wrathchild
4. To tame a land
5. 2 minutes to midnight
6. Afraid to shoot strangers
7. 22 acacia avenue
8. Phantom of the opera
9. Moonchild
10. Fear of the dark
11. Wasting love
12. Iron maiden
13. Hallowed be thy name
14. Bring your daughter to the slaughter
15. Run to the hills
Great setlist, I think we all need 22 acacia Avenue in our lives. Nothing from somewhere in time?
@@metalheadcarshow my thinking is they literally just done a tour of somewhere in time that spanned two years. If they do it’s only going to be wasted years or heaven can wait. I do think the tour is gonna be more around the early 90s songs. They have done early days, powerslave era, maiden England era and this I feel will be the next chapter and there will be a documentary dvd of that era which make part 4 of the history of iron maiden.
@@Donbazzini22222 that is a fair point. I figure there will be at least 1 though
@@metalheadcarshow maybe wasted years or heaven can wait, I wouldn’t expect anything from the last tour of SIT
Playing with that concept
1.Prowler
2.Wrathchild
3.22 Acacia Ave
4.The Trooper
5.Rime Of The Ancient Mariner
6.Heaven Can Wait
7.The Evil That Men Do
8.Bring Your Daughter To The Slaughter
9.Fear Of The Dark
10.The Number Of The Beast
11.To Tame A Land
12.Phantom Of The Opera
13.Iron Maiden
14.Moonchild
15.Hallowed Be Thy Name
16.Run To The Hills
If they were to go backwards I'd love to see it go like
1 - be quick or be dead
2 - fear of the dark
3 - tailgunner (spitfire)
4 - bring Your Daughter to the slaughter
5 - holy smoke
6 - infinite Dreams
7 - can I play with madness
8 - heaven Can Wait (somewhere in time Eddie)
9 - rime of the ancient mariner (powerslave Eddie)
10 - 2 minutes to midnight
11 - the trooper (trooper Eddie)
12 - sun and steel
13 - number of the beast
14 - hallowed Be Thy Name
15 - run to the hills
Encore
16 - wrathchild
17 - killers
18 - phantom of the opera
19 - running Free
20 - iron maiden (tour Eddie)
I hope they play purgatory
That one didn't even cross my mind! They have Purgatory shirts at like every second tour. Maybe it's time it comes back!
For me the band have to start with some as close to first album as possible so either Murders or Wrathchild as they incredible starter songs
They have opened with Murders in the Rue Morgue a handful of times. would be a awesome way to start the show
@metalheadcarshow they only done it on 2 tours. I'd love Be Quick or be Dead my issue is will Nicko be able to do it now
Isn't Be Quick Or Be Dead going to be too hard for Nicko to play of what happened to him and i think it is very hard to say what the setlist is going to be because of how special this tour is and now how much possibility of what songs can be played on this tour because their is a chance for Prowler, Running Free, Sun And Steel (because of the Japanese building in the background behind Eddie and it is like the same when you found that cloud on the artwork and said that could mean that 2 Minutes To Midnight is going to be played so its basically the same and you can then say that Sun and steel can be played and that would be an awesome f*cking surprise and they have gave it recognition as the name of one of their beverages), Powerslave (now im just saying a song i really want to have with the songs in the setlist which we dont know if yet if Rime Of The Ancient Mariner plays but if it is getting played i want Powerslave with it because then it will feel incomplete for me and i will feel really sad but the others songs we can get what you said we can get is incredible especially Infinite Dreams, Killers and To Tame A Land), Deja Vu because now the band has teased us with it and now we want that song just like we wanted Alexander The Great and it is now a possibility that we are going to get the song Deja Vu and it would be another surprise), Only The Good Die Young (because Steve really wants to play it but havent got a chance to do it and now it has a chance and that would be so cool) and From Here to Eternity.
I'm going to break that down into chunks lol
Be quick or be dead.
Probably getting one song
Only the good die young.
Be Quick or Be Dead is way easier on drums than Caught Somewhere In Time.
He wouldn't even need to simplify it as he's doing with CSIT.
@@evilbringer3058 you are correct, be quick or be dead is just a quicker tempo, nothing too complicated.
im surprised you didnt include the trooper, it would be awesome if they played moonchild as the first song and only the good die you as the last one
Maybe lol
We need Running Free !!!!!
Very well could happen on this tour
In a perfect world this would be the setlist if one could pick only 18. In the real world I'll be happy if 5-6 of them will be played.
My first show I went to in 2005 were dedicated to the first four albums, so in the even more perfect world they'd skip the first two albums and play songs from Brave new world and Dance of death instead. Dance of death is the only remaining album I haven't heard them play live at all. Sucks since it's one of my favourite album and the title track one of my favourite songs.
1. Be Quick or Be Dead
2. The Prisoner
3. Phantom of the Opera
4. Afraid to Shoot Strangers
5. Flight of Icarus
6. Wasting Love
7. Judas Be My Guide

I heard that the songs on the setlist were going to be ones they never played before.
@@VantagePointrocks that's completely fair. And honestly why I love doing these videos and hearing other people's opinions. Personally, iv seen Maiden 13 times now, 15 by Halloween. I know this is a lot of songs for Maiden, but I think it's at least somewhere realistic, and it's under 2 hours in length.
It's a good set! Honestly I would love to see Phantom of the opera as an opener. Or closer at that
Great set list!! About what I was thinking.
Awesome! In my opinion this setlist is too good to be true(and I love it very much), but if happen to be(or something very similar to that one) I'll shit my pants for sure! I have a ticket for the first show on 27th of May so I can die with my boots on after that! Up the Irons!
Thanks! Let's just hope I'm close lol. Hope you have an awesome time!
I copied this
We will cover classics and fan favourites from the first nine albums, from IRON MAIDEN to FEAR OF THE DARK, many of which we haven’t played in years and many we will likely never play again in the future. I promise you are all going to be very happy indeed!”
Nothin on there of songs they have never played. I do think not adding The Trooper or Evil That Men Do was a mistake lol
Be Quick or Be Dead is easier and slower than Caught Somewhere in Time.
Also, there would be no need to simplify it as he's doing with CSIT.
I’d swap out Rhyme of the ancient mariner, and put in Where Eagles Dare and Flight of the Icarus.
At that point you would probably have the time to slide one more short song in there.
Well i have two versions. One of them is a prediction and one is a dream set.
The prediction:
1. Aces High
2. Wrathchild
3. Die With Your Boots on
4. 2 Minutes to Midnight
5. The Phantom of the Opera
6. The Trooper
7. Tailgunner
8. The Number of the Beast
9.Fear of the Dark
10. Evil that Men Do
11. Iron Maiden
12. (Encore) Hallowed be thy Name
13. Wasted Years
14. Running Free
15. Run to the Hills
The dream one would be:
1. Moonchild
2. Wrathchild
3. From Here to Eternity
4. 22 Acacia Avenue
5. Phantom of the Opera
6. Run Silent Run Deep
7. Genghis Khan
8. Judas Be My Guide
9. Seventh Son
10. Sea of Madness
11. The Number of the Beast
12. Iron Maiden
13. (Encore) Still Life
14. Sanctuary
@@metalheadcarshow No Prayer For The Dying is referenced on the tour art?
Drop wrathchild replace with Killers. Good call on Infinite Dreams. I expect Sun and Steel, To Tame a Land, Rime of the Ancient Mariner, Phanton of the Opera, Prowler, Heaven Can Wait, Be Quick and Fear or the Dark. I dont necessarily agree with the Bring your Daughter on the set. Maybe Fates Warning maybe Hooks in You or Run Silent Run Deep.
Personally I think Hooks in You is as likely as Gangland. I've seen a lot of love for the song No Prayer For The Dying though
Imagine if they will troll all of us and play strange world or invite Paul di’Anno
Don't even announce his presence on stage. Lights go down, song starts, and he's just their singing it. Nobody would be ready for that
@@metalheadcarshowsadly thay won't happen now
I wouldn't be surprised if they left out Hallowed as well as the Trooper, to make room for less played songs.
Maiden played 250,000 people in Rio with a majority new setlist maiden play what they want
@@Donbazzini22222no they didn't they play the same setlist every show altho they do change setlist it's very very rare last time they changed it in middle of a tour was 2010 I think where they played brighter than thousand sun's but was removed for Wrathchlld
@@petershortland478 exactly they played that tours setlist regardless of how big the occasion is.
But I don't see Maiden doing it
I'm willing to bet they play "Bring your daughter to the slaughter" and that'll be the only song from No Prayer imo.
Agreed. I'm confident they won't ignore that album on this tour. But I've seen some people add 2 or 3 songs off it. Your right. Just 1 song
Setlist sounds great but I’d swap out Heaven can Wait for Deja Vu and Infinite Dreams for SSotSS.
I think SSoaSS would blow people's minds on this tour
When They play two night in the same city Will the setlist be the same both night?
100%
Totally
Ain't no way Maiden's dropping Trooper on their 50th anniversary tour. I personally wouldn't mind a deep cut but i don't think that's happening
I believe you are correct. I think it will be the same deal with The Evil That Men Do
Good prediction! However I don’t see Heaven Can Wait coming back next year. If they’re gonna do anything from Somewhere in Time it’ll probably be Wasted Years. And honestly I see Die With Your Boots on being in the set more than To Tame a Land.
Also I see Aces High taking a backseat on this coming tour. It’s been played so much lately, and it would be redundant to do the plane thing again.

Seeing the quantity of short songs, you can likley squeeze another in there. Looks like fun though
i think they should do to tame a land
Agreed!
