Bro. This is so tight. If someone told me this was played by the procedural djent machine and didn’t let me watch the video, I’d believe it. Sick playing man; you make it look effortless!
hahaha xD I love how the premise to this compliment is that procedurally generated tight music slaps. It could be easily turned into slander if the premise was that procedurally generated music is shit. Such is language, filled with nuance.
The thing I find most impressive about this is the sheer cleanliness and timing of his playing. I don't think people realize how hard it is to achieve this level of technique (even despite the fret wrap). Well done my friend! You've earned yourself another subscriber.
This hits that Northlane - Discoveries sweet spot of melody and heaviness so fucking well. Even the tone is just spot on, looking forward to more of your stuff man.
I was expecting this to be a video explaining the difference between djent and thall and, impressive as your playing is, could someone explain to me? I've been trying to find explanations but there are none on TH-cam. Thanks and this goes hard!
i come back to this video a lot just to listen to that sound. it's got everything, it's so unbelievably smooth. btw, you put Neural DSP in the bio, do you mean the quad cortex or the vst plugins?
If I could make a suggestion: The video would make more sense not split into 2 parts, and have both styles at least shown in a single video, especially if you don't have part 2 readilly available. It sounds cool, but waiting for the thall, only for it not to happen is disappointing.
its not djent geez its this other super specific name i made up to put weight on the fact that no one cares because the differences between the two sounds are as different as white and eggshell white i hate how this plagues all forms of heavy music lil dash of annoying pointless pretentiousness
Awesome vid dude, camera shots and setting are so clean
Thanks Keyan! I've been watching your stuff for ages so this one means a lot!

@@tusharjamwal it’s more that it’s perfectly to-the-grid without human error, but I get wym!
Who let you outside
@@ThePeachBitBack who let you inside?
That tone is just perfect. It has the dirty distortion and aggressive compression but you can hear every note.
Glad you like it 👊👊👊
That outro riff is just too damn good! Even my youngest kiddo (almost 2 years old) could not resist some headbanging!!!
Thank you! I'm glad the kiddo liked it :)
oh boy, just what we need... another 1-4-5 blues jam....

Appreciate the kind words! You are a great player too. Subbed!
@@nickharrisriffs Thank you! I do appreciate it.
Agreed but you can't just snuff the no doubt 300 dollar noise gate he's using lol
that fretwrap was doing absolutley nothing but eliminating sympathetic string noise from behind the nut tho.
That's called a "playback", clipped and edited. Welcome to reality.
This hits that Northlane - Discoveries sweet spot of melody and heaviness so fucking well. Even the tone is just spot on, looking forward to more of your stuff man.
One of my favorite albums!! Thanks man 🙂
So accurate...i miss old Northlane dearly
That felt good. NEED PART 2
I need it too! It’s a top priority!
Soooo smooth. Subscribed and liked. I could listen to these types of riffs for hrs.
Thanks man! You're in luck- I've got hours of riffs just like this.

It’s a demonstration of both genres, part 1 is djent, part 2 is thall (coming soon)! Thanks for watching 😃
Try the bands Fractalize, Viljharta and Ghidora.
MAke a video on how you mix your track It's sound so good
In the future, when I have the capability to make long form content, yes!
I need subtitles for when you switch between djent and thall. Lol. Bad ass Brother
Thanks dude! This one is all djent, part 2 was my shitty attempt at thall haha
Extreme architects vibes
Thanks 😃

Definitely. Didn’t think this video would blow up so quickly! Gotta make a series
that tone is just absolutely beautiful. can i ask how you got it?
Neural DSP Archetype Gojira! Thanks for watching 😀
@@nickharrisriffs settings? I can't seem to eq it just right
Hell yeah this is so early Northlane! The best type of metalcore
Not sure it sounds like Northlane, but I appreciate it anyway!
how do you even improvvise this stuff??? pls tell me!!
No improv, just writing riffs
Excellent stuff my man, tone is beautiful too.
More on the way!
Superb playing 😭
Thank you Masum!
Is thall going to be in part 2?
Yes!
this tone is extremely similar to the tone used in Invent Animate's everchanger
Really? That was one of my favorite albums 😃
HARDDDD🔥🔥
Thanks Joonyoung! 🙂
Subbed within 20 seconds
You're the best man thank you!
😈🤘🏻🔥💪🏻
Do you use 3 fingers to hold the pick?
Yes 👍
❤❤❤

Thank you! 🙂
Where the Thall part is?
I’m on vacation now but it’s coming later!

Dude, you got damn right. Thall and djent are not the same
Definitely! Thall edition coming later
I like your background lighting, maybe you should call Djent Budhha 😇
Fully enlightened
Sick riff man! What tuning is that in? What drums do you use? 🤟🤟🤟
Drop G# and GGD Modern & Massive
Where's the thall though?
Part 2
The djent reminds me of old days Aristeia
Love that band 👊
@@nickharrisriffs highly underrated group🫰🏼
Fuck yes. Subbed.
Thanks for subbing! More on the way ☺️
Sounds like aristeia 😍
Love Aristeia! Was just listening to them haha
i come back to this video a lot just to listen to that sound.
it's got everything, it's so unbelievably smooth.
btw, you put Neural DSP in the bio, do you mean the quad cortex or the vst plugins?
VST plugins! Mostly Gojira, Fortin Nameless, and Plini 😃
So confused so is this just all djent>?
Right, part 1 is all djent
Reminds me of Abstractsjpn
i'll check them out
!!!!!
🙏
Where is the thalll?
Coming soon! I just uploaded another cool thall riff before it drops though :) Check it out ^^
I didn’t know ryan gosling was into metal
He djents.
Wasn’t that just metalcore played with a 7 string?
thall
big shoutout! So thall
What in the world is thall? This was sick though
Thanks bro!

Need 8 string
Never played an 8 string. That might be fun 😀
he knew thall would win so he didnt upload pt2
I did
Another Fing genre. Who comes up with these names and styles which honestly are the same.
“Fing” genre? Can’t say I’ve heard of that before
@@nickharrisriffs you are kidding right? Focking but with a U.
Ah gotcha, just read it the wrong way. But hey, if you think they sound the same then that’s your opinion. Thanks for watching either way! Cheers ✌️
Djent = Gwent?
Jwent
Ngl it sounds the same.
Great playing tho.
Thanks for checking it out!
@@nickharrisriffs 👍
These super-gated tones plus quantisation don't even sound like a guitar anymore.
Ya I didn’t know how to edit at all when I recorded this. Brand new to DAWS. Hopefully the newer videos sound a bit more natural.
Sorry, but djent part no have dj-dj sound, so... Its not djent 😅
The djent police has arrived 👮🏻♂️
