Powerful winter storm slams into southern Ontario

- Snow blanketed much of the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) on Thursday, after a major storm swept through southern Ontario.
"The key thing for drivers to remember in this type of circumstance is making sure you're driving according to these conditions," CAA spokesperson Kaitlynn Furse said.
Furse also recommended keeping a fully-stocked emergency kit and warm clothing on hand, as well as extra food and water for emergencies.

Since when is 5-10 cm of snow considered a "Major Winter Storm"? If it was 20 plus cm of snow then that would be considered a "Major Winter Storm" 5-10 cm of snow is an average snowfall.

The east coast is laughing at Toronto.
And while yes, it was nasty most places, here in Lindsay 90 minutes North East of Toronto, it has almost immediately returned to looking like winter was mostly a prank.
That thumbnail is NOT from yesterdays storm... it was a noteable storm because of when it hit, while everyone was already at school and work but come on

not really a storm but on another note drivers are not the same as as when i was a kid over 40 yrs ago when drivers drove with skills on all season tires with no help from AWD or Smart Car electronics. We are Canadian and Canadians are crappy drivers in the snow these days! Winter tires should be the manadatory in our not so brutal winters.
@@chuckakhan1in quebec, winter tires are mandatory and drivers are getting better from longer driving classes, reducing accidents. also, this aint a snow storm lmao
