I don’t support the behaviour, but I understand their frustration. It was a crucial point, but the video from the back was not clear enough whether it was a contact or just sliding near the elbow. Why didn’t they play the side view which should show a clearer view of the ball contact with the player? The fact that the challenge team refuse to play that side of the video makes it a questionable call. The camera is there for a reason. They should display from all angle
I know the answer for this question, they didnt show it becuase it was the angle that only challenge team has acces to. Like tv operators does not have acces to all of the cameras so they could not show it but if the second referee came by himself to the monitor and saw it and still Deicided that it was a touch i think there should be No doubt
@@coldboywinter we’ve all seen that side angle footage being put on display for similar type of challenge before. So your reasoning seems illogical - its not a matter of “only challenge team have access”, they just refuse to show it for everybody to see (ie send the footage over for tv team to display). When a team challenges a certain call made by ref, it is only fair that you show them the evidence to shut down any speculation about the decision. The fact that they refuse to show it only make the situation worse.
@@angeliquidevilOk why they didnt show the angle where you can clearly see that it last touched alan then? By they dont have acces to it i dont mean they cant put it in tv transmission, tv operators just didn’t have that piece of replay, its not only in this match during the vnl I’ve seen multiple times situations like this

Brilliant game. Thanks.
Por um tempo o brasil sempre superou a Polônia, chegando a aplicar um 3x0 dentro da casa deles. Mas, nos últimos anos eles estão sempre muito bem e o Brasil passa por sua pior fase!
for some time, i.e. for a year?
I just love to watch Leon hes so routine
"Early sense of defeat makes the player act without consciousness."
True in general but here it wasn't the case my friend, there was no inferiority at that moment in the game and that was a simple robbery (even intentional) we can see the ball touched the net not the elbow (it would be deviated with more angle). Still not a great behavour
They play in front of Polands home crowd. He knows not getting that first set can get them swallowed up by the crowd as well as them hyping up Leon and Kurek. So obviously when the refs made such a terrible decision in such a crucial moment, he's gonna take one for the team and act this way. There are thousands of people as well as the polish roster fighting against Brazil. In such a moment, I'm sure all his teammates were thankful for Bruno to get out of his way and fight for his team as the captain he is. Is it not okay to go against officials in this manner? Obviously he knows that as well. But as a Captain, sometimes you have to go out of your skin and show fire for your team's point.
@@scholesy18102 I don't think they are penalizing the ball touching the net, or the net touch the player; if you look again, after the challenge, I believe they're penalizing the BALL touching the Brazilian player on the outer part of his forearm by the elbow, so technically the Brazilian player had touched the ball before it went out of the court, just like a blocker would be at fault touching a ball that bounces off out of the court and no one saves it, hence Polang gets the point.
@@scholesy18102 I saw the ball touch elbow.
@@3467AAA you see that’s the thing we can see different things and that’s why the ref has the right to reply the point when it’s not clear (especialially at the end of a set==in a final…vnl). (But it touched the net not the elbow …for my point of view it’s 100% sure but still i would reply the point if i was the ref without telling my certitude :))
Because they feel cheated,I like brazil🥰greetings from afar
the reason i think bruno was so mad is because his both sets werent good to alan, so that frustration plus the frustration of a controversial call caused it
but i still think alan touched that
Alan knows that he touched the ball, everybody saw that Alan touched the ball, all Brasilian players at that moment already knew that they had very little chance to win that match, so the frustration took over. Very unprofessional. Then I hear the voices that Polish audience was not behaving appropriately, excuse me?
@@runnermcturtle5893 yeah, he knows and still posted about not touching It later with different camera angles and shots from the game. Why would he do that when he touched it? Brazil is a team that points themselves out most of the times in situations like these.

I have not seen fans booing when enemy team is serving before. I don't like to see it anyway.
You must be new to volleyball then. Normal thing since dozens of years. Booing, whistling, trumpetting, screaming. All normal in many countries. These players are not snowflakes, beside Spiridonov who is not really stable in terms of mental health
The renewal of the Brazilian selection must be done urgently. I think that players like Bruninho, Lucão and Leal don't have the physical conditions to play volleyball at a high level. The coaching staff needs something more.
This was the biggest volleyball error ever!
Right, I think the referee was blind or something 🤣
It very clearly touched his arm

In my Opinion, i love to see Poland play and they are very good but the unsportsmanlike conduct of the fans is just Rude like let them serve and let them give the best only this way we can watch a faire and exciting match
It's not a chess game. Fans can be loud and express themselves.
@@paweldrzazga7700 That's right, it's allowed to be loud but instead of booing the opponents you can cheer your own players.
@@simplesquirll2682 This is visible difference between crowd attitude at stadium. When Poles watching volleyball match, they are very active, they dance, they sing, they clap, they mock referee and just having fun. You can compare that to recent Female VNL finals, which took place in USA. Even if Americans are extremely proud of their nation they do not cheer because of the fear of offending someone. Poles are very honest and they don't get offended at the same time. I prefer that kind of attitude than sitting quietly. However, this is so obvious to them that being respectful is a must, so after a match an opponent get standing ovation. It is beautiful feeling to be there.
@@simplesquirll2682bro i can guarantee you if the team that plays in the match is the host there are ALWAYS going to boo the oponents, it doesnt matter if its poland brazil italy or any other country
@@coldboywinter That's not true, in Asia we don't do that. Especially in Thailand, Thai fans even cheered for the other teams.
9:21 for the moment right before Bruno “shoved” the ref. Honestly I think this is nothing
Congratulation Poland .. u are amazing
Супер
Honestly, I think there are better odds that he did touch the ball than that he didn't. But regardless, if you let one situation influence the way you play for the next two sets, you only have yourself to blame. Poland was the better team here, as they proved by winning the entire event. Brazil needs to get over it. And Bruno deserved a red card.
First of all, I just wanted to point out that they show this from another angle later and it is clear that the ball did not touch Alan's elbow. ("Men's VNL finals 2023 - Poland vs Brazil - Replay" on VBTV
time: 42:43) watch and take your own conclusions.
Secondly, It wasn't about one point, it was a decisive point that they were completely sure was wrongly taken away from them. Not only did Bruno leave the court in the following sets, but now the entire team could feel they were playing not only against their opponent, but the crowd and the referees too. This is quite a devastating situation, and even though I believe Poland was the better team, If it wasn't for this wildly wrong call, Brazil could have kept their pace toe to toe with Poland as they were in the first set, and it would at least have been a much more challenging game for the hosts.

THERE IS NO ANGLE THAT PROVES THE TOUCH, THE VIEW SHOWN DON´T PROVE NOTHING, IN SOCIAL MEDIA I FOUND ONE ANOTHER VIEW THAT SHOW NO TOUCH FROM ALAN... I think Brazil was robbed. The feeling of judges accepting something with an image that proves nothing is the same as being stolen.
Круто
Did they show another angle? I don't think it touched his elbow . Brazil never recovered after this controversial call.
On highest quality and lowest speed, even from that angle, You clearly can see that the path of the ball's fall has changed, a little bit. Touch is a touch, nothing controversial.
I might agree, no elbow touch. But the commentator confused us with that net touch and then elbow touch. It was called a block touch against #11. But you can see #11 frantically telling his coach otherwise, thus the block touch challenge. On slow-mo review, I think the push by #21 hit the tape but didn't go over (without touching #11) so it was last touched by #21. A side-angle replay could've shown it more clearly though.
You got a serious eyes problem
