So much to appreciate about this property... the wooden beams in the cellar, the sound of the stream, all the beautiful doors, of course the view of the incredible church and an amazing price. Bruno is a delightful gentleman! Thank you Ken!
The first time in ages I have seen a property for sale in Portugal that is actually worth the money! If I had the cash on hand I would definitely be taking a look but sadly I have some months work to do over here in the UK to get my house ready to sell so I have the 'wallet' to start looking to buy.
Thank you for showing us this beautiful home, I especially love the antique furnishings, they add charm and a sense of the history of the building. This gem should sell quickly! I wonder where Bruno is off to next - wishing him safe and happy travels.
Really charming property, lovely floors, furniture and atmosphere. Great value imo. Thanks for sharing with us, Ken. Really appreciated. Best of luck to Bruno, too! ☺️🙏
FANTASTIC HOUSE! I would love to live in this little square! I wouldn't have to cook bc of the snack bar and church across the street! You and Gina could come up and pick your room. Then, if Gina's nephew and Olivia showed up at the same time, just pack up all the bikes, will go for Steak shopping and we will all fit! Oh, your Dad and Gina's parents. It will be a family reunion house!!! YES!!! Then when, oh I forgot his name, the seller, if he wants to visit Portugal for a few weeks, we'll, he can have a room too! It's bed and no breakfast bc I don't get up at no 6AM! LOL
What a property! And the price?? Are you kidding?? Wow! So much to love: That view of the church ❤ Would the stream underneath and coffee & wine on tap over the road make up for no space to grow vegetables? And no trees outside -for me 🤔 I’m torn. Totally in love with the house - it’s incredible! Kitchen & dining room need a total remodel, but the idea of live music gigs downstairs - bliss 😊 This was a great house tour Ken, and you paced it beautifully 👌🏻
Thanks Anna, really glad to hear that you enjoyed it! A lot of the people who live in village houses like this will own a small piece of land just outside the village for olive trees, vines, and veggies. I guess a bonus of not having plants or a garden is the ability to lock up and leave when you feel like it.
@@OKportugal Ah yes, of course. A bit like allotments in UK but you own it. Well worth thinking about👍🏻 The house is fabulous. I’ve never been keen on the heavy, dark wood furniture but in this house all the pieces work beautifully. If my schedule wasn’t a year off I’d be very tempted to come over to view it 😊
What a lovely property. I wish Bruno luck and admire the way he has kept everything up nicely. I especially like the back patio next to a green courtyard.
Wow what a fantastic property for cheap. I am to old to clean that massive house. Thanks Ken and Gina. I am still looking for a husband. Only for the winter, because it is very cold here. Granny South Africal❤
Oh wow, I heard that in some villages they stop at night. I remember many years ago I lived next to a train station and we had trains coming past all day and night that shook the house! I also got used to that and it weirdly became comforting :D
@@papiyonmov Sorry no I dont live there, but i'm sure the agent, or Bruno the seller, will be happy to tell you. I put their contact details in the video description.
Lovely place and what value! I know the weather in Portugal is generally fantastic but would I be silly to be concerned that the cellar may flood in the event of heavy rain?
What a gorgeous property, you can tell this grand house used to belong to wealthy people from the village, love the furniture and how the property sits in a prime spot in the village ❤️
Thanks for this one Ken! Absolutely stunning - and all the best of "older" features in the architecture. One item missing was the Attic - did you take any pictures, noticed it was not shown on the Remax listing either. Its really nice to see the condition of the roof and the area above especially since there was no heat source for the house that was noticeable. What a lovely area!
Very nice house, good thing you can move in as is at at your leisure maybe upgrade the kitchen and strategically place splits for AC/heating. Excellent price and location.
The house could be on ley lines that near to the church. The stream running underneath could exacerbate this energy. Would be worth getting a dowser to check.
Hello Ken! I hope all is well with you and Gina! I really love this house. It is stunning, and loaded with history I am sure. It's been a minute since we have chatted, so I thought I would shoot you a message. This would make a great Bed and Breakfast. With the right marketing, I think this could really be lucrative. My goal is still to spend 6 months in Portugal/EU and 6 months in the good old USA. I am currently living and working near Seattle. I plan to buy a small place here first, and then the one in Portugal. Hopefully they will make me money when I am away at the other one. I would buy this in a minute if I had the one here secured! Much Love to you and Gina, Rich VanGogh
This is such a beautiful property ❤ I have a question..we have dogs. Is there a park to take them ? Or small grassy place near the house ? Just beginning to look at properties. This one is lovely.
I'm not sure, maybe send the seller an email as they will be able to help you with any enquiries. I out their contact details in the video description.
@@OKportugal That's a really good point, gardening is a lot of constant work! I've got a small garden, however, watching your videos had made me want at least 2 acres for my garden! 😊
I was expecting the price to be a lot higher. If you updated bathrooms, kitchen and a few bits and pieces, keep all the original features, it’d make a lovely home for a remote worker.
I hope this house finds l full time inhabitants. So many of these village houses sit empty in Portugal, because the perception is that everything outside of Porto or Lisbon is a meaningless wasteland of nothingness. So sad.
The village square has a fountain and the run off goes through a drain under the house. The water dosent come into contact with the building internally.
Usually in villages like this they dont ring late at night. Maybe ask the seller as they will be able to tell you. I doubt that they are ringing all through the night though.
I doubt they would build a historic village with houses like this on a flood plain. The main square that the house and church are situated on, have a village fountain, and the runoff from that Spring go under the house, through a pipe and out the back where you can see it flowing. It's not drain water or an overflow.
@@OKportugal I doubt that little stream will take all the water from a hevy storm running down this road 12:11 running straight at the house. Though, I see the actual living quarters are on the first floor. The basement has been converted and is just an added bonus. When it’s not raining.
@@leeboss373 it's not a drain. It's literally from a water feature / fountain in the village square. There is no flood water running from this feature or under the house.
Oh, you said the stream is for the spring not a storm drain. Ok. Even so the water coming down that road has nowhere else to go but in the house from what I can see.
@@junzhang2087 I disagree, my farm is worth about 3x what I paid for it 5 years ago. If I was renting I'd have wasted all that money by now. Right now I have an asset that's only increasing in value.

The remax link is not working. Has the house sold already?
Yes, if the link is no longer working the agent must have sold it. I am happy for Bruno :)
There is a eu law that needs to make houses below energy label C. In 2030 or earlier. What are the costs for insulating?
I was expecting the price to be a lot higher. If you updated bathrooms, kitchen and a few bits and pieces, keep all the original features, it’d make a lovely home for a remote worker.
Especially since its got access to crazy fast fibreoptic broadband. On MEO you can get 10 gigabit fibre for 99 euros a month!! 😁👍
I noticed cracks in the garage wall. What would that be from? With a spring running under the house wouldn't that cause settling issues?
I hope this house finds l full time inhabitants. So many of these village houses sit empty in Portugal, because the perception is that everything outside of Porto or Lisbon is a meaningless wasteland of nothingness. So sad.
Is that a bus stop outside ?
I would buy this , but i am just not ready stil need to sell my property in the uk but when im done i will look to see if tis still for sale
SOLD! Your website says SOLD! Please update your videos when a property has been sold. It IS a Nice house!
Better love the sound of church bells.....
Much better than wailing that can now be heard in certain places in the UK. It is a part of Portugal's heritage.
Wonder if water runs down the road and in to the basement
The village square has a fountain and the run off goes through a drain under the house. The water dosent come into contact with the building internally.
Has it been sold? Is there a hospital near by? Schools? College/university? Grocery store? How much for the utilities?
I put the sellers details in the video description. Send them a message or call them for more info. 😊
Given the Remax link is broken is the property now sold?
Yes i think it probably is if the sellers link is no longer working.
Does the area with the spring or any of the adjacent garden belong to the house?
I think the small area with the spring does belong, but not the garden. You will have to check this with the agent.
SOLD!
No land ?
Church bells ring every hour?
Usually in villages like this they dont ring late at night. Maybe ask the seller as they will be able to tell you. I doubt that they are ringing all through the night though.
