You shouldn't use GL5 in t-case on account of brass sychros. Wears them out over time. Should be GL4 for t-case. But don't go by me, always check your manual. Cheers.
Nice video. Thanks for the information....torque specs are all over the place on this job...but I like your approach of crushing the washer, and then giving it a bit more....since, let's be honest we all don't have new/newly calibrated torque wrenches anyway
@@JoBiatch most torque wrenches are off by +/- 5ft lbs anyways. I did this almost a year ago with no issues. These were the torque specs I got from a local Toyota dealership.
I just did the 4WD service on my 2017 Grand Cherokee similar to the video you did on the 2018 GC. Sure do appreciate your work!
Nice video....75w90 can be used in all three including the xfer case as well per Toyota dealer today and other Toyota techs on YT.
I saw the same information on Car Care Nut, good to know since that Toyota/Red Line stuff is so expensive.

@@armyuvme There's no brass synchros in the transfer case. Manual transmission yes, and that's why you must use GL4 in them.

Great video! So.. what did you do regarding the two front broken bolts for that skid plate?? Thx
Luckily all the other bolts were able to hold it up.
Dude your torque specs are all wrong. This video could potentially ruin somebody’s vehicle.
What the correct torque specs then?
@@BLUECOLLARGARAGE The transfer case is 27 not 36. The front diff drain is 48 not 27/29. Front diff fill is 29 not 36.

@@BLUECOLLARGARAGE If you’re happy with 29 instead of 48, then that’s all that matters.
