+Dyllon Freeman Is Pusha really underrated when everybody thinks hes great? Even a lot of this new rappers respect him. Yes hes not selling and covering every magazine in the country buuut he gets the respect he deserves tho.
Pusha T is one of those rappers that no matter how much time you gave me to write a verse, I could never come up with verses more intricate, more double entendres with better rhyme schemes. He and Kendrick are one of the few currently active rappers that I could never replicate with all the time in the world. Others are probably still much better than me but on a level where, with enough time, I could probably come close.
People DO NOT UNDERSTAND this. I could write an Eminem verse in an hour. I could never write a Pusha verse. One aspect of Pusha that is unique is that he draws from a language almost all his own (for mainstream artists that is-a SPECIFIC diction from a region and a lifestyle). I write poetry, and my years of writing has shown me that editing and excising unnecessary words is the most difficult part of great poetry. Pusha is THE BEST in the game at this. He pares his verses down to elemental form. Only ONLY the needed words. Genius.
Y'all wanna know who the best is Look around at who alive and who done died (Then what?) Then look at me, Kendrick Lamar and Pusha T Em and the Slaughters Y'all don't have to look any further for the rhymers - Royce 5'9 "Black History"
Darkest before dawn, Great album! Intro to the album was sick, Been a fan since the clipse but he's definitely grown into his own artistry with his music. 👑 King Push
that was a bomb interview!!! the breakfast club and complex interview was totally lame. only sway can bring out the best sides of the artist like no one else can - love him for that
that album was straight fire!! how the hell people sleeping on this the dude is a lyrical genius. people only hear about the dope but dont pay attention to his rhyme schemes and the deeper meaning! i want another one before the year over
Pusha T, Fabolous, Lupe put out so much consistent content and are too often understated.... J-Cole is walking in that line, but found a great balance in the culture and in pop (Lupe did as well...Grammy winner). Kendrick...I hear people and he has momentous moments but he isn't quite there yet for me...creative - yup, thoughtful - yup, Hip-Hop - yup, but missing that magic head nod command...One of the best Kendrick moments in fact was the track he did with Pusha 'Nostalgia' ...cold cold track.
+kudabeen All great rappers but come on. Lupe made Lasers which I know he hated but it's still out there so that kinda breaks the consistency. Fabolous can't make a great album but he's got great songs. Cole got his first great album with FHD but his other two were okay, another dude who makes great songs. Pusha T knows how to make great albums though. Kendrick is pretty consistent though
Josh Josh Listen to Street Dreams and FNTS all tell me Fab can't make a great album. That myth is there cause his singles were female hits, if people actually stopped sleeping and listened to the damn project instead of assumptions. Also, Lasers was an attempt to draw in more fans and Atlantic were telling him what to do. Fab is if not, the most consistent of them all. Drops something every year. You can't really say Kendrick is consistent, unless you mean on a project, TPAB failed as he went for lyrics instead of a balance in lyrics and good production for more ears
If you didn't grow up during the greats or choose to research them you can understand the appeal of even just a good interview. Hip Hop is completely esoteric so while you can learn to do anything there are levels of mastering the art form. It's much more than rap and flow and beats and image. The greatest artists emote these visceral concepts that ignite your intellect and stimulate nostalgia. They also bring you directly back to the origin of the culture and message even when they're just speaking.
PUSHA T is consistent! His live show, no dancers, just him, a mic, & Dj, going song 2 song! 🔥 I have listened to, It's Almost Dry 12 times, I listened to Kendrick once - don't get me wrong KL's project is a masterpiece! However Push, the Project is a tighter presentation, the sequencing is everything, I see pictures, it's like a movie, I've seen Enter The Dragon 15 times...Feel me! My next project will be tight - inspired by Everything Push - Kanye & Pharrell - they knocked out the park! Just my opinion 🎶
As Sway asked for a good MC, i would say Freddie Gibbs is one oft the best MCs nowadays. He can spit sick, raps hard and kills on stage. He performs live acapella like 4 songs without breathing and sick flow and everybody in the crowd is shoked. Ive never seen such a good MC live
I can agree with Sways' intro cause Pusha T never has changed his style of rap to adapt to this new bullshit sound that almost everybody has . I've never been let down by a Pusha project, but I haven't listened to this album yet
i disagree, hes changed his sound over time. Lord Willin beats sound nothing like MNIMN beats. BUT; pretty much none of it was for trendy reasons and its always pretty fuckin Pusha T
push is a god. lyrics always elegant/sophisticated street talk, if you don't fuck with him you don't know rap. Darkest before dawn was super dope, just like every project he releases. nothing but fire..... YEUGH!!!!! PUSH!!!!!!
That intro was everything. #Salute the REAL even though that word is used so loosely nowadays. King Push aka Pusha Ton!!! Been a fan since funeral music and still going hard homie.
Anyone who think sway is biased on his opinion can sick a dik. He just states facts cuz pusha been consistent since day 1 n never fell off. Kept it real on the legal side of the music business without sacrificing the quality if his music. He stuck to his roots and ran the lane he chose to take. Definition of realness I put him in the same category as Jeezy, styles, jada, bun b n scarface.
Even tho the freestyle was written (of course), his effortless word play and ability to continuously tell a story with very 16 bars he spits is fucking amazing. True lyrical genius at it's best... King Push aka Pusha T. is most certainly underrated to say the least!
I have a very good feeling that Pusha would be a bad “off the top” freestyler. His verses are handcrafted and edited and edited and cut down until they are PERFECT. He is a writer/poet.
One of Sway's better interviews, easy top 5. Recently I thought I was old and no longer understood the current state of HipHop. Then Sway and Push spoke about the homogeneous sound of rappers and I could not agree more. Goddamn, everyone sounds like an autotune Drake bite.
+Reckless_Recluse definitely, the whole group came from the streets, crooked and Joell sold coke and are all lyricists. Makes sense for pusha t to work with them
i know Im asking the wrong place but does anybody know a tool to get back into an instagram account..? I was dumb lost the login password. I appreciate any assistance you can give me!
THERE IS SOMETHING IN THEM 7 CITY VIRGINIA WATERS!! LOL Clipse, Missy, The Neptunes, Timbaland, Allen Iverson, Devante Swing, etc my god its the land of trendsetters and geniuses. haha real talk tho i remember back in 05/06 it was Pharrell and Clipse pushing that Bape/BBC line HARRRDD. This Pusha T, is cold with the bars for real! I've never listened to him like this, but for real he dope! I can't say he matches Lupes, or King Los; but in terms of just style he cold with the rhymes! EL soundcloud.com/elmindheartsoul/no-strings-attached-prod-r-kay
"got to a point where I got big as him, we had one good brawl. Never fought after that" LOOOL SWAY ALL DAY! That was me and my big bro. It took one good scrap I went blow for blow. Its been big brother mind-control ever since! haha. He lucky we African and I gotta respect that, or I'd be punkin his ass if not!
23:00 That's real and exactly how I've felt these last couple years. Either it's cause I'm twenty and not twelve or it's just that these guys don't appear to be anything more than the average human being. They don't have that feature that sets them apart anymore, sort of like superheroes. Social media gets some of the blame for that. It makes these artists seem normal. It's fucked up. You're definitely not the only one who feels that way, Push.
Dope interview! Been ridin wit King Push; and he's talking that REAL in this interview. But on another note, Heather B lookin RIGHT! She could definitely get her club sprayed up! Heather you lookin deelicious & I wanna taste.
nobody raps like PUSHA, NOBODY! One of my favorite rappers.
My FAVORITE rapper.. Pusha > everybody else
Pusha T is underrated af. His album is definitely one of the best projects dropped this year. #KingPush

+Dyllon Freeman Is Pusha really underrated when everybody thinks hes great? Even a lot of this new rappers respect him. Yes hes not selling and covering every magazine in the country buuut he gets the respect he deserves tho.
Not underrated....just over hated. He been nice.
Under appreciated every nigga who actually listens to hip hop knows pusha talent
I love Push and just like Big Boi I hope they stay solo. I like what they're doing by themselves.
Pusha T is one of those rappers that no matter how much time you gave me to write a verse, I could never come up with verses more intricate, more double entendres with better rhyme schemes. Darkest before dawn, Great album! Intro to the album was sick, Been a fan since the clipse but he's definitely grown into his own artistry with his music. 👑 King Push

sways introductions are always legendary
freestyle at the end was fire. almost effortless and ten times better than most rappers.
One of the all time greats.
Pusha T, Fabolous, Lupe put out so much consistent content and are too often understated....
J-Cole is walking in that line, but found a great balance in the culture and in pop (Lupe did as well...Grammy winner).

+Joshua Mack you won't be disappointed lyric wise and production wise. And this is just a teaser to his King Push album next year. EGHCK!
+Joshua Mack It's short but every track is awesome and sonically/musically just a bit different to keep the album fresh (no filler)
+Michiel Prak i love short albums cuz the artist has less chances of putting filler on them.
i disagree, hes changed his sound over time. Lord Willin beats sound nothing like MNIMN beats. BUT; pretty much none of it was for trendy reasons and its always pretty fuckin Pusha T
+Keyser Soeze lol yeah exactly what I was sayin
