Nice video, you two work together like a well oiled machine! I just LOVE all the retro T shirts and Star Trek shirts. TRS-80 Model III was my High schools first computers. They got 17 of them, only the one for the teacher had two 5.25 inch floppy drives. Everything had to be loaded from and saved to the teachers computer. Because I had already had my C64 for two years and our teacher was lost (for real) I got to be like a class aid and got called to come to the computer room through out the day from my other classes for the first month or two. I would leave my class before PASCAL 10 minutes early each day the whole year and load PASCAL onto the 16 computers from the teachers computer. I would type a command on all 16 of them and they would each wait their turn to load PASCAL. This way the computers were up and running PASCAL when the class would start. Good memory!!
14:18 YES!!! You affirmed the impression I got of you, "Nerd from Alabama"
Guilty
Love this, Im 55 and we had 4 apple 2e's in my school computer room. A friend also made a joystick he had made. So many memories. Playing hard hat mack and sammy lightfoot. and so may infocom adventure games. i now own several 2es and want to get a floppy emu
Get you that emu!
I remember those Apple IIes from school. I remember games like Oregon Trail, Odell Lake, Number Munchers, Word Munchers, Amazing Reading Machines, Donkey Kong, Math Blaster, Algeblaster, Zoyon Patrol, Jenny's Journey's, Appleworks, Logowriter, Fredwriter, Facemaker, The Print Shop, Speed Drill, Tutortech, Teenage Switch Progressions, and others.
Just ordered one of these for my Apple IIgs. Hopefully it works!
How’d it go? I just just ordered one for my Apple IIgs as well.
@@tomcorwine3091 It works perfectly!
"To the Bat-Apple II Robin!" 🤣
I figured there HAD to be an episode involving the Apple II, even if its circa-1983 MSRP was through the roof compared to other 65xx-based boxen
You know it!
Holding the emu together with rubber bands when putting the case together really helps.
Real tips for the real world. Love it.
Whoa! Magic trick @ 2:29 !!!
Impressed???
I just put one of these together today. I broke two nails trying to get the stupid paper off. lol
We know your pain.
I want a shirt like that !
The TRS-80 (model one, 4K RAM) was the first computer I touch in my life.
:o)
Timex Sinclair 1000 (2K RAM) for me that I paid $99 for with money from my part time job at McDonalds in 1982. Xmas 1983 I got my C64 and have loved Commodore ever since.
Measles can come from any surface touched by an infected human - there were no vaccinations for measles (as far as I know) in the time frame of the Oregon Trail.
measles is soooooooooooooooooooooo contagious
You died of dysentery. 🤣
And I suppose they think its Klaatyu, not Klaatu?
The Trash-80!
foreshadowing!
nah not really
This floppy EMU also works with the Mac Plus/Lisa derived compact Macintoshes, you just need to make sure to switch to the other firmware (it's on the website). Personally, I use mine as an HD20 emulator, at least until I can figure out how to actually get my Plus to boot from a SCSI drive.
By the way, where'd you get the hutch for the Tandy 1000 EX? I know Tandy actually made one, but they're almost impossible to find these days!
